Hello 👋🏼

I got a faint BFP yesterday at 10dpo and another one today. I'm going to keep testing over the next few days but fingers crossed it's right 🤞🏼

I've not yet told me partner as I want to be 100% certain so I'm looking for some friends to keep me sane 🤣

I'm not sure if any others will have positives for late July/August yet but I can't wait to meet you all 🥰

@jennaxc it has, which is great 😊

Yeah, it's cos it's not tested for pregnancy. I'm just not comfy with being pregnant and taking it when there's so much not known yet. This might make work very awkward though!

Hollyc07 · 21/11/2020 08:19

Morning ladies,

My period is due today so i’ve woken up feeling super nervous, i’ve still had on/off cramps but don’t seem to have any of my other usual period symptoms just yet but we’ll see

@jennaxc i understand your stress about your dog! When i was pregnant with my son i lived with my mum for a few months and her dog started to lay/guard bump! He still goes absolutely crazy when my son arrives, he used to sit next to whoever was holding him! I wouldn’t worry too much as dogs are so adaptable

jennaxc · 21/11/2020 10:33

@rosieb060 so glad it's stopped 👍🏻

Yeah that makes total sense. Will you be able to carry on with your job if you can't have it? I'm so so lucky I've been working from home since March

@Hollyc07 thanks so much for your message. My dog can be a real pain sometimes when he's unsure and is so sensitive, I'm just trying to not worry until there is something to worry about. Easier said than done though!

Got everything crossed for you, when are you testing?

Hollyc07 · 21/11/2020 10:39

@jennaxc so true but i’m sure he’ll get used to the idea when he gets used to your bump, its like the can sense the baby! So cute

I’m currently trying not to get my hopes up too much as i still feel crampy Sad

lepardprint · 21/11/2020 15:03

Hello everyone! Been a bit slow on here last few days. How is everyone?
I'm due 20th July xz

whitershadeofpale · 21/11/2020 22:48

I’m good today. Probably tmi but I’ve had awful constipation and bloating! I seem to sleep in cycles, falling asleep early and then wide awake in the middle of the night and needing naps.

Hollyc07 · 22/11/2020 17:44

Evening ladies, hope you all had a lovely weekend. Im day two of no period and trying not to get too excited. Made tea this eve and it just doesn’t taste the same! Did anyone else have this? Also feeling super sleepy today already

Mellous · 22/11/2020 18:10

I’m 4 weeks today.. so so tired but other than that I’m fine. Just can’t stop worrying about anything and everything.... miscarriages etc. This is my first pregnancy so I’m totally on edge Sad

Mellous · 22/11/2020 18:12

@Hollyc07 ahh sounds promising, hope af stays away for you!

Hollyc07 · 22/11/2020 18:18

@Mellous i’m the same! Its totally normal to worry as its just a big thing! I was the same with my first and feel the same now so you’re not alone x

popcorndiva · 22/11/2020 18:21

Yep this is my second pregnancy and stressing as much as my first. It gets a lot easier once you see them on a scan or they start kicking. Its this weird period when you don't look any different and you can't believe anything is in there

jennaxc · 22/11/2020 18:55

Hello everyone

I've been totally panicking too, about all sorts of silly things. I'm started to get excited again but can't wait to see something on the screen and for family and friends to know.. still a good while off yet though.

I had my first appointment letter through the post today with lots of information about screening, it's a lot to read and take in!

@Hollyc07 🤞🏼 when are you testing?

Hollyc07 · 22/11/2020 18:58

@jennaxc i think we’re going to hang on until next weekend. I had a miscarriage (blighted ovum) last year at 12 weeks so my partner is super sceptical about getting excited too soon. Its so hard not ti being a woman when the changes are happening to our body argh!! But i’ll keep you posted, im hoping the start of symptoms is a good sign x

jennaxc · 22/11/2020 19:01

@Hollyc07 I'm so sorry to hear that, it must have been so hard. I've got everything crossed for you and hope everything will be healthy for you and everyone here ❤️

@jennaxc thankyou!!! Trying to stay super positive this time

Mellous · 22/11/2020 19:06

@jennaxc how many weeks are you now? I think I’m going to ring my GP tomorrow.. or is it too soon?! (4 weeks today)

TedLife · 22/11/2020 19:43

Hi ladies,

Sunday is my turnover day so I'm 5 weeks now. Definitely feel different to usual, nausea on and off but not too bad. More than I had with my first though which is interesting. Catching every illness going though (which I also had with my first!) so battling off a cold at the min.

Just so everyone is aware, as you're now pregnant you are entitled to a flu jab and you don't have to wait to be invited. I called up for mine and she was reluctant - they usually wait for 8 weeks "in case I don't keep the pregnancy" which is just about the most insensitive thing I've ever heard a nurse say. But she quickly qualified that with "but of course you are entitled to one". So if it's something you want make sure you ring up for it, now is the time to get it anyway.

How is everyone feeling?

jennaxc · 22/11/2020 20:03

@Mellous I will be 5 weeks tomorrow. I have my first appointment over the phone on the 22nd December.

@TedLife ah thanks for this I was wondering about the flu jab. I might phone up this week then. What an insensitive phrase!!

Please tell me if you’d be more comfortable if I posted elsewhere, but after a weekend of spotting I called the EPU and have an appointment for a scan on Thursday.

I’m glad I’ll have answers but I’m really scared particularity as I’m not allowed to have DP with me. He’s being very supportive but is more blasé than me and very, ‘well at least we know we can get pregnant’ and ‘if it doesn’t work out this time it as obviously for a reason’ I know he’s right but I think it’s much easier do him to put it out of his mind until then and not get upset than it is for me when I’m constantly symptom spotting.

rosieb060 · 23/11/2020 10:35

@whitershadeofpale keeping everything crossed and thinking of you xx

Do let us know how you're going xx

TedLife · 23/11/2020 11:27

@whitershadeofpale Thinking of you and sending all the love and positive thoughts I can. Of course you can and should be posting here, we're all in the same boat and whatever happens we're here if you need to talk.

whitershadeofpale · 23/11/2020 15:14

Thanks everyone, I switch between feeling confident to doubting everything. Wish I could just sleep until Thursday!

I hope everything is going well for everyone else 😊

Hollyc07 · 23/11/2020 15:47

@whitershadeofpale i have my fingers crossed everything goes really well on thursday for you and you get the reassurance you need. I’ve been through the wait myself and its not easy at all so i really feel for you. Fingers crossed everything will be fine x

lepardprint · 23/11/2020 17:03

Good luck @whitershadeofpale have my fingers crossed for you xx
