@Bouncytree yep always regular so bit weird alright defo gonna test on Friday Smile

apwilso · 28/10/2020 22:31

Don't really know what to expect. I feel like I've ovulated quite late in my cycle. Looks like I did on day 19 and peaked and now dropped back down to low levels.

What do I expect from now on then! Because I've been having weekend symptoms since ovulation I just don't feel like me!

TWW. 9dpo today. Was doing so well. DTD and then forgot about it, saw friends and kept busy. This evening, loads of prickly cramps. Of course it's probably wind. But there's the "what if". So now I can't sleep.

1992EM · 29/10/2020 06:59

@apwilso when you ovulated is probably right for a 30 day cycle. You won't likely feel symptoms related to pregnancy until around 6 to 10 dpo as that is when implantation roughly happens. The symptoms previously would have probably have been ovulation ones. Hopefully in the next week or so you will start feeling some of the symptoms. It is hard as most pregnancy symptoms are also pms ones at that stage so it is hard to determine what is what until you can test. 11 to 12 dpo is the most accurate time to test using the early ones. Any earlier it might give a false negative 💕

Bouncytree · 29/10/2020 07:03

@apwilso it can be very confusing can’t it. We all feel like we have symptoms and then all feel very real. I’ve been pregnant 3 times and you would think I would know better!! But we just focus so much on our bodies at this time, we notice things we don’t usually. They are in your body and feel real....but don’t necessarily mean you are PG. it’s not usual to feel anything until at least implantation at 6-12 days dpo and you might feel nothing till missed period. I know this all too well...but it doesn’t stop Me noticing things and wondering.

It is really hard, because you get your hopes up, and leaves you feeling u don’t know what to think. Hope you are doing ok

Bouncytree · 29/10/2020 07:16

@Danielle2012 eeeep sounding very positive! I always think the missed period is the strongest sign. There are plenty of stories out there of people not getting BFP for a week or longer. Your hcg hat may not be high enough yet. 🤞🤞🤞

@Tabbycat92 lol I know it’s a pass time of mine too 😆

@PurBal those pesky symptoms are a killer aren’t they. It’s so hard not to notice things and wonder.

I’m 5 dpo and have already had non stop indigestion, light headedness, cramps and stitches....it’s too early but that doesn’t stop me! Trying not to put too much weight on them and try to see it as a bit if fun and excitement about the prospect. Let’s see how long that lasts!

Holding out for some clear signs. I try to tell myself if it can be something else it probably is. Indigestion...well prob indigestion!

How is everyone doing today?

Bouncytree · 29/10/2020 07:18

@1992EM are you feeling any better?

apwilso · 29/10/2020 07:19

@1992EM I'm so impatient! Hopefully I don't know though I feel like I over think everything for example with receiving BFN or BFP. Feel like it will never happen!😳❤️

@Bouncytree it really is confusing some of the things that have happened I've never these before but guess I'm more aware now! I'm the same big it up in my hesd and then I start doubting!!

OP posts:
Bouncytree · 29/10/2020 07:29

@apwilso I am very impatient too. I think once I decide I want to TTC I feel like I need to PG straight away.....like right NOW! The waiting for test date is a killer and any BFN is a blow, even if you know it’s too early.

1992EM · 29/10/2020 07:43

@bouncytree Yes, thank you 💕 I am so much better today. I think it was a combination of low b12, AF and being on my feet all day. I am hoping AF will finish tomorrow and then can chill this weekend before starting back with opks etc 🙈

@apwilso I would try not to stress too much about the what ifs. It is easier said than done. I am a control freak and like to plan everything and have struggled with this as I can't plan it . I was getting to the point it was taking over my life. Don't do it to yourself . It is basically luck. You have a 20 % chance of getting pregnant each cycle. Some are lucky and happens first time and others it can take up to 12 months or more. The best thing to do is dtd often and do opks. Also take conception vitamins too. I think from now on I will not test unless I am late as actually that is more of a kicker than AF coming. Best thing to do is plan something nice during the tww to take your mind off it. I found that hard as we started ttc in lockdown and I was in the house all day everyday . Now being back at work has helped.

Originalusername6432762 · 29/10/2020 09:41

@1992EM
I was the same with the lockdown, was trying before but was on a mission in March, too much time to think!

I’m glad everyone else does the symptom spotting too, makes me feel a bit less crazy! I’m 4dpo now I think and have cramps that might just be a stomach ache, a few spots, gurgly, and also I’ve been a lot stronger emotionally than I usually am! Probably just imagining it all though!

Good luck to everyone 🤞

Tabbycat92 · 29/10/2020 11:40

@apwilso I know how you feel, I stress so much. I'm actively trying to not think about it too much, but it's impossible isn't it.

Today I seem to have a lingering headache, bouts of nausea, and I'm just so achey!

apwilso · 29/10/2020 13:29

@1992EM were very similar! I'm a control freak everything has to be planned but this is unplannable! Keeping busy doing some crafty bits and bobs and cleaning! I've also decided to vlog my journey for myself, done YouTube bits before but proper wanna get into it and do it properly so that should keep me busy!

@Originalusername6432762 yeah your not alone!

@Tabbycat92 I've been like that since ovulation but my nausea has chilled out a bit! It's all good though

Hi everyone thanks for your reply’s.
I thought I would update you on the outcome So it’s now been 10 days since the faint positive took a superdrug early detection test and another BFN, still no AF though
But I guess that I’m deffo not pregnant

234mu · 29/10/2020 15:43

It must have been a evap line

Annie1290 · 29/10/2020 16:00

Finallyyyy saw a very faint line on a OPK 🙌🙌 which is awesome as only had my implant out on the 15th and that means ov is on track for over the weekend.

Bouncytree · 29/10/2020 16:03

@234mu your not out till AF arrives. How many days dpo? Sometimes it’s just hcg is not high enough yet to register.

I haven’t caught up yet on messages...in work, but I wanted to register a sore boob alert! 🚨 definte acheyness. 5 days dpo. Protesterone? I can feel those testing fingers getting itchy 😬😅🤣

1992EM · 29/10/2020 16:37

@apwilso Sounds like a good way to keep you busy 💕
@originalusername6432762 it is so hard isn't it. I am glad to now be out of the house some of the time at least. Your symptoms sound promising.

@234mu sorry to hear about your negative.x
@BouncyTree sounds promising. when do you plan to test?
@Annie1290 ohh that is good knows. hopefully you get your peak soon.

Tabbycat92 · 30/10/2020 07:40

BFN on a FRER this morning at 10dpo 😭 I know you're not out until AF arrives, but I'm pretty certain it's not happened for me this month. AF arrives next Tuesday, count down until then!

Originalusername6432762 · 30/10/2020 08:03

@Tabbycat92
I've been sitting here wondering if anyone was testing this morning, sorry to hear but still a chance x

Danielle2012 · 30/10/2020 09:05

Hello, so I’m TTC baby number 3 I have 8 and 1 year old last month (September) I thought it happened for me because I was experiencing what I thought was spotting brown and then red and then I also got a lil clot so I knew then wasn’t spotting and l said must be a weird period then this month (yesterday) got my AF AFTER BEEN A WEEK LATE. So today should be my cycle day 2 and there is just brown there wen I wipe really don’t know what all this is as I’m usually fine and on time and 5 days long for af anyone have this and they still got pregnant
Thank you

MrsLauraM · 30/10/2020 09:25

@Tabbycat92 I’ve done a test today at 9dpo and got a BFN. I did use just a Femometer strip test though which is 25miu so I’m trying to remain positive. I do have one FRER but I don’t want to waste that yet 😂
I think you’ve still got a chance yet, you could not have implanted yet or only implanted very recently and so hcg levels aren’t high enough.

SweetShopSurprise · 30/10/2020 11:38

Hi all,

Can I join?

First month TTC for us, not been using ovulation strips or anything, just been DTD every other day/ every 3 days throughout my fertile window (using an app to track that, though not sure how accurate it is!) think we’ll continue to try next month casually and then if no success, start tracking more throughly with ovulation strips etc.

I did buy some Pre seed yesterday though after seeing if mentioned on here Blush it has rave reviews so may be worth a shot 🤷‍♀️

Like others, I keep thinking I’ve got ‘early signs’ which is ridiculous as our first time TTC was literally only 7 days ago today! We’re very early on into our TTC journey Blush

I’m due on (Sorry, I know there’s loads of acronyms for all this stuff but not quite got to grips with/ memorised them all yet) on on the 9th so plan to take an early detection test Friday of next week?

This morning I feel really nauseous but I don’t think it’s related, I sometimes do randomly feel nauseous. I’m not even sure what signs you’d get, in fact even if any if you were only a few days pregnant?! So many women don’t realise they’re pregnant until their missed period (And even then it’s a massive shock to some) so surely it can’t be that obvious?

Bouncytree · 30/10/2020 12:52

@Tabbycat92 and @MrsLauraM seeing those BFNs are gutting. I hope you are both ok. It’s such a roller coaster, the highs of the hope and then the low of bfn 😞. It’s a crash back down to earth.

But hope is Not lost yet. Any early test even on a FRER is only 50% accurate. The Hcg levels maybjust not high enough yet...but also implantation may not have happened yet. I have had implantation sign the day before AF on one of my bfps. Let’s see what the next few days bring. Till then snuggles and chocolate!

@SweetShopSurprise welcome! I got pregnant with my son DTD every 3 days and with no tracking. Lol I know we are gas for finding the symptoms. This morning I am feeling rather ‘nippley’ 🤭 hmmm am I pregnant ....or cold? 🤣🤣🤣

In terms of test date. Go by the predicted date of ovulation. So if you have a 28 day cycle, day 14 is approx ovulation. The earliest you would implant is 6 days later, so cycle day 20. However implantation may not happen till 12 days after ovulation....so be warned...testing early can be emotionally difficult...unless you get a positive you may be confused and quite bummed out by it all.

SweetShopSurprise · 30/10/2020 13:01

Thanks @Bouncytree. Maybe I’ll just wait and see if my period is late then. It’s just I’m meant to be doing a bottlemless brunch next Saturday (we’re still Tier 1 here atm) I would actually like to have a few drinks but wouldn’t if I knew I was pregnant so was kinda hoping to test before that weekend and before I’m due on on the Monday.
