@MamaMoonbeam @MamaMoonbeam @Waiting2BeaMama @Livgrayxo @Leah2501 @234mu how are you all getting on?

Clear peak for me Friday and DTD again yesterday to be covered and done with BD for this month and on to the TWW. 1 day dpo....two weeks always seems so long! Will be trying hard not to obsess, but it’s so funny like you @MrsLauraM how we notice every little twinge in our bodies once we are TTC, everything seems like symptom. I try - but don’t always succeed- in thinking about ‘the long game’...in my head I have to do this for 6months min and if it’s earlier than bonus. It helps a little. Though I am a fiend for symptom spotting too!

MrsLauraM · 25/10/2020 18:18

@1992EM I wouldn’t count yourself out yet. There’s still time to get a BFP. I know it’s hard when you don’t want to get your hopes up but there’s no harm in remaining positive until AF rears it’s ugly head.

@Bouncytree I’m only 4dpo which is why I think it can’t be anything to do with implantation yet.
The tww seems like forever doesn’t it 😂😂 if it was a fortnight off work it would have been and gone by now 😂😂😂

Bouncytree · 25/10/2020 18:28

@MrsLauraM ah I see yeah early days. Lol yes! I never thought of it like that but so true! Time goes slow when you want to fast and fast when you want it to feel slow!! Nothing else to do in the TWl week wait but ....wait!

apwilso · 25/10/2020 18:36

@Bouncytree I'm on cycle day 18 today. What's that app your using? Just wound up with it all 😫

@aquamars84 amazing news. Made me tear up that post!❤️

@Danielle2012 try and stay positive x

@apwilso thank you I’m keeping my hopes up

Danielle2012 · 25/10/2020 18:41

@Bouncytree thank you I’ll test again in another couple of day’s doesn’t feel like I’m getting my period any time soon

MamaMoonbeam · 25/10/2020 18:46

@Bouncytree I'm shattered! 😪 CD9 BD every other day at the mo, due to ov CD18. Feeling a bit bloated 🤷🏻‍♀️
Downloaded Premom yesterday and added my first OPK and added back dated cycle information so it's a bit more accurate. It's an interesting little app!
Aside from that, got a week off for half term as I work at a school, so looking forward to a rest after a manic half term!

Tabbycat92 · 25/10/2020 19:11

@bouncytree I'm good Thankyou 😊still seeing symptoms, but only 5dpo, so they're probably all in my imagination! I just feel pregnant 🤷‍♀️
How are you doing?

1992EM · 25/10/2020 19:21

@bouncytree thank you 💕 good luck in your tww.
@MrsLauraM thanks, will see what tomorrow and Tuesday bring 💕

Bouncytree · 25/10/2020 19:26

@apwilso I know it’s very tough going at times. If your CD 18 And you have a 30 day cycle it’s very possible you Havnt ovulated yet. The other possibility is that you peaked quickly or overnight. I think a good way to approach OPK is to think of it as getting to know your cycle. It may take a month or two to know your pattern and then you can predict things a bit more. If you keep waiting for it appear it can drive you a little crazy, so just know that your body knows what to do and as long at your BD every 2-3 days your covered. Keep testing so you can know your pattern, and if the peak appears well and good. Finding the ovulation doesn’t make you any more likely to get PG it just gives you info. Sometimes testing is our worst enemy...it can get frustrating. Hang in there and it will become clear over the next lil while

Bouncytree · 25/10/2020 19:28

Oh @apwilso I’m using Premom and also femometer. Both pretty accurate, the odd time slight diff in numbers, but generally on the mark. Premom easier to take The pics

LRW26 · 25/10/2020 19:29

Hi everyone
My husband and I have been TTC for 8 months which I know isn’t a while but feels like an absolute age to me. I was on the pill for about 10 years and have now been off it for a year. I had a positive pregnancy test back in August but had a miscarriage at around 6 weeks which was the most devastating thing to go through. We’ve started trying again but no luck this month even though I really thought I was. I’ve noticed my periods have become very light since stopping the pill and I’m not sure if this is something that I need to be worried about. I’ve decided next month I am going to test for ovulation so hoping that’ll help. Any advice please? I feel like I’m in a constant state of disappointment and worry... none of the things I thought I’d feel when starting a family.

Bouncytree · 25/10/2020 19:33

@MamaMoonbeam yes if our teaching it must have been a tough few weeks so far nice to get to mid term. And sounds like you need your energy for all that BD! I’m not able, DTD 4 times this month and that’s by far my busiest in all my time TTC 😅

Bouncytree · 25/10/2020 19:39

@Tabbycat92 I know it’s a funny aul game this TTC, I’ve had symptoms when I wasn’t PG and sometimes barely none when I was. It’s a dark art! Fingers crossed for you.

MamaMoonbeam · 25/10/2020 19:52

@bouncytree I am administrative staff supporting the safeguarding lead, not teaching, but it's still crazy! I'm lucky that if I'm low energy my DP picks up the reins and I don't have to do much Halloween Grin xx

@apwilso the premom app seems really good from what I've seen of it! Xx

Bouncytree · 25/10/2020 19:58

@LRW26 I know it’s tough, I don’t think any of us think it’s going to take time to get PG and it can be hard going when you desperately want it. I’ve had 2 MC and I understand it can cut very deep. The first month TTC after MC my hormones were so strong, I had so many symptoms, sore breasts, dark nipples, cramps, found myself bent over in Tesco taking deep breaths I felt so nauseous. Then i got a BFN and was not only devastated but also confused. It was by far the worst month for me, I was so anxious about it. The next month was much better. There is hope and it will improve and you will feel stronger,

Have you talked with your GP about the periods? It’s worth an appointment just to get some reassurance.

It’s also reassuring to see the ovulation peaks. I would say treat the first month using them as a learning month, getting to know how they work and to know your pattern. On my first month I used the CB 4 day fertility which are expensive and easy@home strips which are very cheap on amazon. Now I just use the easy@home and upload to the Premom app to keep track and help read the percentage of LH. Pic attached that shows the peak.

Did you see the Channel 5 programme on women’s experiences of miscarriage? I found it helpful to hear similar experiences...though I think they only show people with multiple miscarriages which was misleading. There was a fertility/conception expert on it and she just said persistence. We have to try think of the long game. It will happen for you. There is just so much luck and chance involved. Sending lots of hugs and tons of baby dust your way

TTC chat!
LRW26 · 25/10/2020 20:08

@Bouncytree thank you for your kind words. It is incredibly hard, find myself very jealous of everyone around me announcing pregnancies at the moment!

I’ve ordered the easy@home strips so going to use them for the next month. I’ll definitely download and use the app you’ve mentioned, I was doing a bit of research and it is quite overwhelming but I’ll get there.. I’m still trying to learn all of the acronyms!!

I thought about going to the GP but assumed I’d be turned away because we’ve haven’t been trying for 12 months - not even sure if I’d been seen with everything going on with the world at the moment.

I’ll definitely give that programme a watch. Nobody close to me who knew we were TTC has been through a miscarriage before so didn’t really have anyone to talk to who knew what I was going through, that was quite tough.

Thank you so much 💜

Hi ladies,

I gave up when AF came last month from trying since April...HOWEVER AF did come a full 7 days late!!! Then this month, AF has come 4 days early and I'm bleeding like no-ones business and fully panicking that I am infertile and have something wrong with me, I know it sounds ridiculous but in my last 3 cycles the first was 30 days, second 36 days and 3rd 27 days. I just cant work it out please please calm me down I'm going crazy over here. I have to add though the last BFP I had ended in miscarriage after coming off the implant in may 2019, I miscarried in July 2019 and conceived from my first ovulation. I then went back on the pill until April this year

amy2503 · 25/10/2020 20:28

Hi,
I've been TTC for 9 months. Starting to lose hope ☹️fingers crossed for anyone approaching period time, I am getting close ...

Leah2501 · 25/10/2020 20:32

@Bouncytree
Things are kind of okay here... Eagerly awaiting my appointment Friday for coil removal 🤞🏼 Which I’m very excited about. However my ward is now a Covid positive ward and work as a nurse is once again very very stressful. Although this time no one really cares about the stress we’re going through in the NHS right now. Stress levels extremely high and I’m coming home crying from most shifts so doubt we’ll be able to conceive anytime soon with how stressed I am.

Bethy1995 · 25/10/2020 20:33

@amy2503

I didn't want to read and run, I know how devastating this is as it going through similar we've been trying since April and it seems to be one thing after another.

I can offer endless virtual hugs! Have you been tracking your cycle and ovulation?xx

Bethy1995 · 25/10/2020 20:38

@Leah2501

I'm so so sorry you are going through this. I'm a service manager for a mental health charity and so far have managed to keep our home Covid free.

It's so so difficult to even concentrate on yourself isn't it and often in this profession we somehow seem to forget about taking care of ourselves and eating and drinking as much as we should, caring for our own needs and mental health because we are so used to putting that aside and caring for others. Please hear it from me, we as a nation appreciate you and all that you do!

The pressure is immense for me I can't even imagine how it must be fore you with the worry. My cycles are all over the place I can't even track when I ovulate, usually a 30 day cycle but over the last three cycles the first are 31 days, second was 36 days and this one has been 27 days so I'm really starting to worry now that there's an underlying issue xxx

Thank you so much. It's been really hard, I just feel useless although I keep telling myself the statistics and how little window there is etc. Yes I do. I'm really hoping for a BFP this month but not holding out much hope xxxx

Bethy1995 · 25/10/2020 21:06

@amy2503

I know, I'm the same and I get so moody and upset every single month when AF comes.

All I hope for is that my time will come, eventually but I am thinking or trying pre-seed or something like that. What's your opinion on that kind of thing? Xx

1992EM · 25/10/2020 21:15

@LRW26 I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I use opks. One step ones off Amazon are pretty cheap and the CB 2 day predictor ones when opks are high to confirm peak. It has been pretty regular and accurate in the 3 months I have used them. I also take folic acid and was taking pregnecare but changed to seven seas this month. I don't have much advice as haven't had any luck so far on our ttc journey. Definitely try opks. I have heard temping is a good indicator but haven't tried it . My periods were very heavy when on the pill but are not as bad now. It could just of been the pill that caused them to be heavier and now you are off it, they aren't as bad. 💕
@Amy2503 Good luck in your cycle. hopefully you get your BFP. 💕
@Leah2501 I am so sorry to hear how stressed you are. It must be awful , especially with everything now more less running as normal . Stay safe 😔
