@LisaLx congratulations xx

@bwfcchick88 I hope it's all good news for you, but like you say it's better to know then you can address it and move forward! It could be something really simple!!!

@Blossom428 cursed myself! Boobs are hurting today. It's a year this week since my MC so I'm feeling really down, I honestly thought a year down the line I'd be pregnant again.

@WaitingForEgg honestly feel you on the cycles! How hard is it ttc without the added difficulty of irregular cycles!!!!!! X

Hi all, I’m new, please can I join? Hoping to share the rollacoaster. Cycle 4 has just come to an end AF arrived Tuesday so on to 5. I can’t seem to find any pattern with BTT or ovulation sticks?! A couple of months I got a smiley on cd19 but then others I can’t get a smiley and AF comes earlier so I think I need to start testing every day to see if I’m ovulating early those months or not at all. Just ordered the cheap amazon tests and hoping I can get a better chance.

TheOrangeMonster · 22/10/2020 19:15

Hi @SRyellow
@LisaLx congratulations!

Ladies, I am moving forward!
I have to go for a final test to diagnose a condition called NC-CAH - they think I have this rare thing which apparently only 0.005% of people (1/18000) have. 🤦🏽‍♀️ The treatment is really, really simple and after it most people with this condition get pregnant really quickly. Its just steroids! Can you believe?
Problems are with implantation and chemical pregnancy, steroids stop that from being an issue. So now I'm just praying I get my letter from the endocrinologist soon so they can hurry up and do my final test so they can officially give me the steroid treatment.

I cannot believe I've been through all this time and it might just be steroids to fix it. Bloody hell.
I'm relieved, impatient, irritated, pleased - all at once. Very conflicted lady here! 🤯😱

AnxiousAnnie86 · 22/10/2020 19:24

@TheOrangeMonster that's such such good news!!!!!! Just shows doesn't it can be nothing at all!!!! I have everything crossed you get the steroids soon and then can see the bfp!!!

@SRyellow welcome!!! I never ever know when I'm going to ovulate as is ranges by four week! So I tend to start texting in cheapies at day 7 and digital advanced on day 11! It gets expensive!!!!

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 22/10/2020 20:02

@AnxiousAnnie86 I know right??!! I can't believe it's probably something that simple - I was thinking it was going to be some complicated horrible thing. My fingers are so crossed they might have fused together....
@bwfcchick88 Oh it's so much better to know, I hope you get answers too!

SRyellow · 22/10/2020 20:20

@AnxiousAnnie86 it does get expensive! I think that’s my plan too, it’s mad how different every month can be! I’ve ordered Pregncare vits too, thought that was worth a try.

@TheOrangeMonster that’s so good that they think it’s such a simple solution, fingers crossed they hurry up so you can have the steroids!

bwfcchick88 · 22/10/2020 20:27

@TheOrangeMonster oh wow, so happy you're finally getting answers! I feel fine to be honest so I'm hoping it was just some mad blip. I had my appointment last week and got the results pretty quickly so I've essentially been waiting around all week for the appointment! But I'll let you all know what the outcome is! I have a feeling it might be PCOS (which I'm really worried about) but trying not to think too much.

@LisaLx Congratulations!!

Blossom428 · 23/10/2020 07:51

How's the boob pain @AnxiousAnnie86

That's really positive news about the steroids @TheOrangeMonster , did you say it was a blood test that found that out? Fingers crossed you get your steroids okay'd soon!

@bwfcchick88 at least you are having test and hopefully the doctor can get to the bottom of anything, or rule things out you may have bee worried about!

Cd6- so not a lot happening here

bwfcchick88 · 23/10/2020 08:07

Thanks, ladies - will be good to get somewhere! Fingers crossed we are all moving forward! Would be a nice end to this crappy year.

TheOrangeMonster · 23/10/2020 08:25

@Blossom428 Thanks! Yes, it was an additional blood test. My initial blood test with the findings about Prolactin triggered further ones because the doctor said all my other hormones were normal, abs that didn't fit with PCOS at all - normal LH, normal FSH, normal progesterone. But my testosterone was up too, up in the sky somewhere, so she ordered more detailed tests on some other less often looked at hormones and found they were miles up too, which is apparently incredibly rare (lucky me). It's genetic apparently, both my parents must have been carriers! Now I have to have a test at the hospital measuring my adrenal response to steroids and if it does what they expect then I have this odd condition I was saying about. The condition also causes polycystic ovaries and irregular cycles but it's not because of the same reasons as PCOS. The only additional worry is that if I have what they call a "severe mutation" of this gene, they'll have to genotype my husband to check he doesn't carry a severe one also, because of he does, our child risks being born with genital deformities. All fun and games - quite a way to go yet, but at least a path has opened up in front of us instead of walking into a wall all the time. I'm really hoping that there's some light at the end of the tunnel for all of us about to come through, just in time for Christmas.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 23/10/2020 08:39

@SRyellow yeah mine vary so much I can't seem to risk waiting till the app tells me or anything, I'm going to take w much more relaxed approach throughout nov and Dec though and not temp or anything, just use the digital advanced ones everyday from 11, it'll be expensive, (or not hopefully if I ovulate early) but less stressful then temp checking, wearing my ava etc etc.

@Blossom428 still sore!!! So probably means AF Is on the way, no other symptoms of anything so another month bites the dust xxx

OP posts:
SRyellow · 23/10/2020 09:27

@AnxiousAnnie86 I know how you feel, the temp checking starts to make me anxious at every slight change and then I start over reading in to it. I decided to wait till day 14 to start the digital testing last month (as day 19/20 seemed to be more likely from previous months) and I didn’t get a smiley. AF came day 27 (which was a first, usually long cycles - typical!) so must have been earlier. New cycle now just trying to be more relaxed (trying is definitely the word!) and hope for the best.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 23/10/2020 09:59

@SRyellow do you always have the same LP Phase, so my ovulation can vary anywhere between 17 -30 (normally 19-24) but my LP is always always 14 days exactly xx

OP posts:
SRyellow · 23/10/2020 11:47

@AnxiousAnnie86 same LP pretty much 14 days every time so follicular must be irregular. Wish there was more of a pattern to it! X

AnxiousAnnie86 · 23/10/2020 13:31

@SRyellow yeah same! I don't know how to regulate the first half of cycle though?! X

OP posts:
SRyellow · 23/10/2020 13:49

@AnxiousAnnie86 a lot online says a long follicular phase doesn’t tend to cause problems, it just takes longer. Shorter phases can mean the egg isn’t ready, some websites mention certain foods can help with the shorter side but not much about regulating irregular or long phases! X

TheOrangeMonster · 23/10/2020 18:55

As far as I know there is very little one can do to regulate irregular cycles except make sure you're a healthy weight (check BMI) and eat balanced diet. After that it's all down to stress and individual's physiology.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 23/10/2020 21:52

I think it's all down to stress and worry for me! We get our puppy in three weeks so I'm hoping that will take a stress off! We talked for years about babies or puppies! Now I've made this choice maybe the other will follow!!! X

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 24/10/2020 00:30

Awwww a puppy!! What breed are you getting? And have you got a name?
Maybe the puppy will take your focus and you will feel less stressed! @AnxiousAnnie86
I do want a puppy but OH keeps putting it off for something reason! I've always been brought up with dogs so defo want one soon x

AnxiousAnnie86 · 24/10/2020 04:56

@Blossom428 to be fair we've been putting it off for such a long time but we are both currently working from home and will be for the foreseeable so think nows the best time! It's a patterdale x Norfolk terrier, I will attach a pic the lady we've got him from sent to me tonight 😍 no names yet, although we like Fraser! Any suggestions?? 😂

@AnxiousAnnie86 Basil? Mortimer/Morty? Percy? Antonio? What a sweet little face!
I have two fluffy things (Siberian cats).

Argh, temp was looking promising for early ovulation again, but it dropped again this morning (although I suppose it could be the ovulation dip). At least DH is super horny at the moment so no issues getting it done enough!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 25/10/2020 07:00

We are going with Marty, as in McFly, it's my husbands favourite film!!

13dpo for me today, nothing happening much apart from boobs which are agony!! Don't know about temp or anything as not doing it this month.

@TheOrangeMonster my temp always drops to its lowest point a day or two before ovulation!!!!! X

WaitingForEgg · 25/10/2020 07:18

@AnxiousAnnie86 oh gosh what an adorable dog! I cannot show DD, all she wants is a dog but we need to finish renovating the house first 🙈 cd 7 here. I think I’ll likely ovulate mid night shifts.... it’s like I’m working against a tide 🙈

AnxiousAnnie86 · 25/10/2020 07:42

@WaitingForEgg if you can do it on a Morning? Just do it as much as you can! It lasts 5-7 days apparently!! Last pic but he's honestly so cute it's gonna be a long three weeks! I feel like I'm always waiting! Maybe it will stop me thinking about ovulation!!!!
