Good morning girls. I've been a bit quiet the last couple of days, just not feeling very chatty, af blah blah blah, anyways....

@Mrsbear1122 congratulations!!! So nice to come on and see a bfp 😃

@NestinginNL hope you are enjoying your trip, you are a very disciplined to leave the tests at home!

@Minster2012 sorry it's hitting you so hard, but of course that's natural. I honestly think men's brains are just wired differently. They don't see the point in getting emotional about what they can't change. Doesn't mean he doesn't care but I can see how you feel alone in it. You do all the hard work and then feel like you are the only one grieving it. I think because these things are all happening in our bodies we are more invested right from the start. Hugs my dear xxx and you too @Missgoldilocks I see youhave been having a tough time too. It sucks. Hard to have the emotional energy for it.

@lucyrp yay for ovulation!!! And that it's well covered

Vil10 · 12/10/2020 09:31

@Mrsbear1122 congratulations!!❤️

So glad we've had a BFP I feel like we've all been so sad these last few days!!

5dpo today for me so nothing to report, sore boobs but I know that's progesterone so boring over here! Hope everyone else is doing okay❤️

Minster2012 · 12/10/2020 10:24

Congratulations @Mrsbear1122 that's fab news! ❤️🙌🏻🥰🎉fingers crossed it gets better and better from here xxx

SarahTTC2020 · 12/10/2020 10:44

@Mrsbear1122 congratulations! So lovely to see a bfp on here again. Hoping it's that start of many more again 🙏

notyetamumbuttrying · 12/10/2020 10:49

@Mrsbear1122 yay! Bet that feels good to see it on a FRER! Congratulations 🥳
What did Dh say?
@Minster2012 I really feel for you, must be so hard! But @Missgoldilocks is right in that men process emotions differently to us. They have to be strong for us so don't want to appear weak etc. I'm sure he'll open up soon if you keep saying how it's making you feel. Hope you're doing ok this morning. x

lilacflower12 · 12/10/2020 10:49

@Mrsbear1122 Congratualtions!

@Minster2012 I definitely think because they aren't the ones having to do it all, where as us ladies it a lot of effort, they don't realise the impact it has on us.

I'm technically in my fertile week now but am just testing with OPK's to see if I actually ovulate or not, if I do then I will be testing on my DP's birthday which could be a lovely present for him but not getting any hopes up!

LBee2020 · 12/10/2020 10:50

Congrats @mrsbear1122. Apologies if I've missed it but what's your story? How long have you been trying for? How many Dpo? Any symptoms. What a lovely start to a grey Monday!!

I'm on CD 26 and got all my usual PMS symptoms so not feeling hopeful.

lucyrp · 12/10/2020 11:00

@Mrsbear1122 congrats! 💕

@Juno231 @Minster2012 @Katao
yay let's hope it stays above the cover line for me 🤞🏼😬

@Missgoldilocks haha we have so many different types or sex its mad! It depends what kind of fall out we've had ro whether he disowns me for a couple of days or stays downstairs on the sofa or he actually comes near me for sex 🤣 I found recently that he actually gets really turned on when we're both angry so now I use that on him 😂

Juno231 · 12/10/2020 11:05

@Mrsbear1122 congratulations! Tell us all!

@Franklydear haha mine is always surprised that I'm sad when AF shows. He's better at it now and gets it but for months I had to explain why I'm sad and then he'd ask again later in the day and be surprised I was still sad about the same thing!! Honestly men are stupid.

@Savethechubbyunicorns did you test today? How did it go!

Mrsbear1122 · 12/10/2020 11:27

Thanks all, hope this is the start of more bfps this month!

Today is 11dpo, and I'm on cycle 4 of TTC. This cycle was much longer than my usual cycles of 33days, I'm currently cd 39, ov'd late due to work stress, but tried to relax more after ov.

Things I've tried this cycle:
SMEP (rather than BD nearly every day!)
Seed cycling (only the after ov part, so sunflower and sesame seeds)
Wearing socks in bed to keep feet warm
Chocolate (Milka & galaxy - was more to de-stress lol)
Stopped pregnacare around cd 22, changed to basic folic acid tablets
Temping & opk to check ov, when got peak opk, BD every night until opk is low & temp rose. Attached my FF chart for ref

I don't know if it is a symptom or I was thinking of it too much lol but for the past week I feel a bit of tummy rumbling throughout the day, it's like either hungry rumbles or I need to let out gas feeling 🤣
Was looking for the twinges and sharp pains but only got these rumbles...I usually don't get any symptoms for AF, and thought I was making these feelings up.

DH didn't have much reaction...came out of bathroom with no expression until I asked if he saw it ... Only then he was like 'yeah, but i don't know if that really means you are pregnant' and I'm like 'did you see 2 lines?' and he's like 'yes', I said 'well that means I'm pregnant! No more pressure this month!' that's when he started smiling non stop and we looked at the tests a but more, it's more of a solid line after drying 🙂 although I did say we can't be too happy until we know the lines are getting darker rather than lighter in the next few days

Missgoldilocks · 12/10/2020 11:46

@katao yes I see that you have been struggling with it also. It really sucks and I just can't stand after ovulation because for 2 weeks I'm desperate to be pregnant but feeling run down because I'm like it's not going to happen. So now I have so much to do in my house and stuff but I feel so low I'm really struggling to do basic things I can't focus on anything🙄 I already gave bad mental health so this really isn't helping!
What's your story? How long have you been trying? Is there any issues cycle wise etc? Do you have kids already x

Mosherchick · 12/10/2020 12:07

So happy for you, @Mrsbear1122! I can't wait to feel that.

So yesterday I spent more time on the loo than off it. And I thought, yes, this might well be it. Today, I feel completely normal, I don't really have any symptoms. I won't be testing until the day of my expected AF, which is another 6 days. So it's going to be a long week 😂

Hopeful110 · 12/10/2020 12:25

@Mrsbear1122 congratulations!! 🥳

@juno231 yay for FW! Get bouncing on the 🍆 as @Minster2012 and @lucyrp would say 🤣

I'm 7 dpo finally! And im actually really crampy today:( like a pulling ache in my uterus! Mainly on my left side... but my temp dropped yesterday and same again today so not sure...they are both still above my cover line but hey who knows...guess Its a waiting game :( still haven't dtd as OH been moody this weekend so kinda put me off 🤣 7 dpo is still quite early for af type cramps though considering my luteal phase is 13 days says ff. Is a 2 day dip anything to be worried about yet??

Anyone else at work and feeling the Monday blues?

Katao · 12/10/2020 12:28

@Missgoldilocks I'm the same, can't seem to get anything done because I just have that can't be arsed feeling! The 2ww is all stressy and then the inevitable pms kicks in and when af shows up I just feel low so that's 3 weeks of the month taken up with it! It's been 8 months but not sure how many cycles because they have been all over the place so have had bloods done first came back low progesterone, second lot were fine so think its just the irregular cycles but waiting for doctor to get back to me. Had irregular cycles before and my first took a year to conceive but they were definitely more regular than this so feels like it could take ages! I'm thinking of just not tracking etc and just not preventing ans see what happens. It's too stressful long term. How are you managing your mental health? Do you have anything that helps you cope? I'm thinking of trying to turn my focus from ttc to general health, getting into a bit more exercise and healthy eating etc lift the mood a bit!

2alreadywantanother · 12/10/2020 12:35

@mrsbear1122 congrats. Yes let's hope this kicks off the bfp run.
Just wondering why u stopped taking pregnacare at cd22
I'm taking proceive and it says to continue into pregnancy until pack is gone? I only took folic acid after my bfp and regret not taking others. So deffo taking pregnacare if I get a bfp again

@minster2012 hope ur ok. Think men just deal with things differently dont they, and esp when he had a cousin calling and heading away he didnt want to be red and puffy eyed.

Havent been on much this few days, still waiting on CD1. Still doing opks in the hope I'll ov b4 af arrives.
Tomorrow I should be heading to my booking in apt and scan 😭 would have been 13wks im gutted and heartbroken 💔
Seeing nothing but pregnancy announcements and new born posts. Just wish things had been different but sure dont we all.

Here dont mind me, just feeling sorry for myself. Still having a shitting time with my teeth. Noticed a wee White spot on gum where tooth was pulled. Just hate the thoughts of going back near the dentist. Bloody tooth is costing me a fortune.

Missgoldilocks · 12/10/2020 15:57

@katao is so so hard, I know when I got to like the 6 month mark I was losing my mind, then I thought it's fine I have up to a year. Then passed the year mark and now I don't know what to do with myself lol 15 months in and praying 🙏. For my mental health I used to go gym because it really helped which it still does but I just don't have the oomph for it anymore. I emotionally eat as well so I've gained so much during this process 😩😭 so right now nothing is really helping my mental health and I'm starting to think I might talk to a doctor about it because this is just not healthy! I want to sleep a lot 😐 I really hope you get some good news soon and this will all be behind you then! I know it's stupid but because it's been so long I think we'll wve dtd at the right time every month so what else can we do to get a bfp maybe it'll never happen! I'm my own worst enemy and I think that's what is making this difficult

Katao · 12/10/2020 16:30

@Missgoldilocks oh babe its so tough and do much of it is out of our hands. Do definitely talk to your gp if things are getting on top of you. Take control of the things in yourlife that youcanand then hopefully the ttc shit will follow suit! Honestly though take care of yourself first x

Newbie0818 · 12/10/2020 16:55

@Franklydear when do you think you might want to stop? Will you seek fertility help?

@Mrsbear1122 yay congrats 🥳

@2alreadywantanother so sorry lovely 😢 that must be awful. Hugs x

Newbie0818 · 12/10/2020 16:56

Anyone else just find ttc really boring now?

Franklydear · 12/10/2020 17:47

@Newbie0818 fertility help won't be available, I am 43 and already have a ds, I was thinking I wanted to give birth before 44, so that puts me at Xmas, now looking rather close, after we stop, with or without baby, I don't want to get back in hormonal contraception, so would be the snip for DH and that is rather definite. I'll have a think if we get to Xmas...

Franklydear · 12/10/2020 17:49

@Missgoldilocks I feel exactly the same, so much effort, and nothing gained... 11 months for me

Mrsbear1122 · 12/10/2020 17:56

@Hopeful110 if your temp is still above coverline, you should be ok, hope you get a rise tomorrow!

@2alreadywantanother Since taking pregnacare my ov day went from cd 18 to cd 21 and then on this cycle my +opk didn't come even by cd22, so decided to stop it (after reading online that some others had experience longer periods due to it) although I do think my stress level also affected ov day, but I just needed a change to help things, and work stress was not going to go away immediately even if I want it to

Franklydear · 12/10/2020 18:01

@Newbie0818 but my mum became a mum again at 59, granted she didnt give birth to him but still got a toddler
