I'm 32, I have been TTC since July, I had a chemical in August and today AF arrived and feeling really gutted.

Out of curiosity, how long did you take to take to conceive, and how old were/are you?

I'm feeling as if my age is going to be a problem here Confused

I was 32 when I conceived my first DC in the first month of TTC. Lucky cow, I know, but I wouldn’t worry about age at 32...

I stopped taking my pill in July then fell pregnant the following April. We weren't trying trying, just letting it happen naturally. I was 29. Slim and healthy.

BusterGonad · 29/09/2020 12:48

I'm just saying slim and healthy as in good bmi and no underlining health issues at the time.

RosaBaby2 · 29/09/2020 12:49

12 months when I was 20
One week when I was 30

WeEE · 29/09/2020 12:49

At 26, I got pregnant the first time we had unprotected sex.

At 29, we were actively trying. I got pregnant again the first time, but was a chemical pregnancy, took 3 months to conceive again which was another chemical. 4 months later, got pregnant again, and now have a little 6 month old girl!

LyingDogsLie1 · 29/09/2020 12:52

Been pregnant twice, both first attempts. At 28 and 30. Lost the second.

greenemerald · 29/09/2020 12:54

28 and it took two years

AMS19 · 29/09/2020 12:56

@sausagebap88 I'm 32 too and about to start!! I reckon age wise we are fine, it just takes a while regardless of age I guess.

Are you doing any ovulation tracking?

polkadotpixie · 29/09/2020 12:56

12 cycles, aged 32/33

Actively trying with OPKS/BBT/PreSeed/Vitamins etc

HAB86 · 29/09/2020 12:57

1st time took 12mths, I was 30, ended in miscarriage.
2nd time took 3mths, I was 31, healthy baby.
3rd time took 4mths, I was 33, ended in miscarriage.
4th time took 3mths, I’m 33 (will be 34 when baby arrives), still keeping my fingers crossed, 11wks pregnant!

ellenpartridge · 29/09/2020 12:58

It took 2 months with our first at age 30.

Currently pregnant this time it's taken 18 months with one 12 week MMC along the way. I'm now 34.

Livingmagicallyagain · 29/09/2020 13:01

Age 31, first try.
Age 38, first try.
Age 41, first try.
I was hypothyroid for a while age 40 so that caused issues, easily solved.

Bingobongo1 · 29/09/2020 13:06

4 years was 25 when I had dc.

Yamaya · 29/09/2020 13:08

I got pregnant first attempt at 30 and at 32

Workerbee80 · 29/09/2020 13:14

3 months, I was 31.

Lisa78Lemon · 29/09/2020 13:22

29, healthy, normal BMI
Took 5 months and I was going bloody crazy by the end of it! Gave me so much sympathy for those who struggle to conceive.

happymummy12345 · 29/09/2020 13:32

I stopped taking the pill in the July and conceived in the November. So 4 months. I was 21.

Lozz22 · 29/09/2020 13:38

15 years and then all 4 ended in miscarriages and since my last one 9 months and still no sign of falling Pregnant any time soon

Juno231 · 29/09/2020 14:32

I'm 32, 9 cycles in (about to start #10!) and no sign of any BFPs here unfortunately!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 29/09/2020 15:03

Both 31yrs old, 6 months but only cycle 2 in (they were super long and messed up after pill). Only 6 weeks so cant confirm if itll be sticky yet

beachbum85 · 29/09/2020 15:05

I'm 34, on cycle 16, and have never had a BFP.
I wouldn't worry about your age at all Smile

TheDaydreamBelievers · 29/09/2020 15:05

Sorry should add I am healthy, only v slightly into overweight category. Not even sure I ovulated in cycle 1. Also meant to type 5 weeks not 6 weeks.

chillyfields · 29/09/2020 15:09

I'm 32 and we've been trying since April. No health issues that I know of and healthy BMI.

I feel your pain though, I was pretty crazy after the first couple cycles, now I'm bleeding bonkers! No idea how I'll survive many more cycles if I don't get a BFP soon 😭
