Hey guys! TTC since March! Periods have become irregular since I took Northisterone (to delay my periods) in January! So my days may be off (deffo will be off) but it's worth a try. Just stress as my partners in the army so he's away all week and I feel he will miss my most fertile days 😂 any others want to share the journey?

Hi everyone, please can i join?
I'm 32, married for 3 years, TTC baby #2.
I have PCOS but managed to conceive with no help in about 8 months last time.
I have a 1 year old already, I was on a thread on here for my first and it was such a great support! It's very different this time, as DH works away during the week, plus opportunities are way more limited due to DD1 so it's basically gonna be a weekend naptime only mission! 😂

Hope to get back into the TTC mindset on here as so far it's been much more relaxed than last time x

Mommabear20 · 11/10/2020 20:42

@Crossfitgirl welcome!!! Good luck with your 'nap time mission!' 😂 we're in the same boat! 😂 waiting till DD falls asleep at night before having the quietest 'session' ever! 😆

@CookieMonster3001 have had awful bloating, nausea and shortness of breath, all of which I had last time so fx it's a good sign!

DNpink82 · 11/10/2020 20:52

Please can I join, implant was removed on 11th August and still not had af, some spotting 24th/25th Sept but nothing much. I've tried OPK's but they're not telling me much so we're basically dtd every other day if we can and hoping for the best. I'm 38 and first time ttc 😬

purplepoppet92 · 11/10/2020 22:27

@mommabear20 this sounds strange - but what did your bloating feel like? I've feel like there's a balloon expanding in my uterus, however I'm likely tuning into things I normally wouldn't notice xx

Mommabear20 · 12/10/2020 07:29

@purplepoppet92 that's exactly what it feels like! It's painful to have my jeans pressing on it, or sit cramped up. Fx 🤞 for a BFP in 9 days!!!

How is everyone doing this morning???

CookieMonster3001 · 12/10/2020 11:39

Well I am 2DPO this morning, nothing new to report here for me! Forgot to POAS this morning to check LH levels are decreasing, so will need to do that later! Nipples feel a bit stabby, but apart from that, feel pretty normal!!

@Mommabear20 I will have to look out for those over the week!

I am very aware that at 2DPO I wont be experiencing anything relating to or indicating pregnancy, but you can help but become hyper aware of every single niggle you feel!!

Mokoblack · 12/10/2020 12:28

Popping back in, been doing my opk and got a positive this afternoon so will bd for the next few days then wait...

Mommabear20 · 12/10/2020 12:35

@CookieMonster3001 I remember being bloated last pregnancy but can't remember how soon it started so I could just be clutching at straws here 😂 feeling very out of breath (that was a big thing for me last time) after our walk into town. Only 9 days left till AF is due!

AnneZ31 · 12/10/2020 12:57

9 days left for me too! Argh they go so slowly. Will no1 be allowing themselves an early test? I’m so weak 😂

CookieMonster3001 · 12/10/2020 16:18

Lucky for me I am out of town next week and only back for one day and that's CD11, so at the very least, I have no choice but to wait until then before I test haha.

chillyfields · 12/10/2020 22:58

Hi ladies, AF arrived for me a few days ago, so I'm about to start my sixth cycle of TTC#1. Do any of you keep DTD after your OPK has returned to low, and if so for how long? In previous months we DTD on peak OPK day and a couple of days after, but then stop. This month I followed SMEP (for anyone unfamiliar with it, you DTD on three consecutive days around O, then have a rest day before one final go around 3DPO). I was feeling pretty optimistic until AF reared her head, and now I'm wondering if we need to continue DTD for longer during luteal phase, in case O is later than I think? Grateful for any tips / success stories!

Crossfitgirl · 15/10/2020 23:07

Thanks @Mommabear20 yeah nap times for the win! How do you have the energy on an evening?? Once bedtime with DD is done with I'm shattered and want to sleep myself!
I'm currently on cd15, and I've had some spotting, EWCM and what I think is ovulation pains so I'm sure ovulation is around now... We dtd on Sunday and DH works away in the week so isn't back til tomorrow. Think I might jump on him once my DD has gone to bed, if I'm not shattered! Haha. Does anyone else get ovulation pains? Any idea if they come before or during or after ovulation?

I want to start temping but I keep forgetting to get my bbt thermometer out, plus I might need to change the battery since its nearly 2 years since I last used it! @chillyfields how are you tracking ovulation? It can vary month to month, and the apps are definitely only an estimate. When I started temping last time, I was ovulating much later than I thought and even that is a guess as the temp can rise 1-3 days after ov. I was ovulating maybe cd17 or 18 of a 25 day cycle. I'd go a few more days just to cover it xx

Crossfitgirl · 15/10/2020 23:10

@chillyfields sorry just realised you said you're using OPKs. I'd still carry on for a bit after. The rise in OPK is the surge for the body getting ready to ovulate. So you definitely may not ovulate for a few days even after the peak one if that makes sense. I know a few people that got preggo from dtd every other day throughout the month. Though that's far too much effort for me... But yeah I'd keep going a bit longer to cover it! Til you think you're DEFINITELY out of the ovulation zone. If you temp, you'll be more likely to know for sure once it's happened as temp rises only after you have ovulated x

chillyfields · 21/10/2020 18:53

Just had my LH peak result (five days earlier than my other cycles, which is bizarre but not complaining as it shortens the wait). Cycle 6 here I come - anyone else with me??

purplepoppet92 · 23/10/2020 14:15

Just wanted to post and say that I got my BFP so will be moving on from this group (hope it sticks!!!)

Wishing you all the very best in conceiving you little bundles xxx

Blughbablugh · 23/10/2020 14:45

@purplepoppet92 Congratulations! I got mine yesterday as well at 10dpo. Really nervous as my last ended in miscarriage, hoping for a sticky one this time!
Good luck to the rest of you!

Crossfitgirl · 24/10/2020 08:20

Congratulations @Blughbablugh and @purplepoppet92!

I am currently on cd24 and I started spotting yesterday which is super early for my period for me. I haven't had a cycle this short or spotting so early since my last bfp (I spotted for 4 days then it stopped and I got my bfp) so of course I'm convinced I'm pregnant even though it's most likely AF come early. I've been having tummy cramps and feeling a bit off it since yesterday too. I have no idea what's going on, I don't normally get period cramps at all, but with DC1 I got loads of cramps after the bfp.... Eurgh! I don't want to test yet as my period isn't due for another 5 days or so x
