Hey guys! TTC since March! Periods have become irregular since I took Northisterone (to delay my periods) in January! So my days may be off (deffo will be off) but it's worth a try. Just stress as my partners in the army so he's away all week and I feel he will miss my most fertile days 😂 any others want to share the journey?

@lucyrp that must of been such a hard time! Sorry to hear about that, your temps don't look awful, they're not loads higher but they're still higher and thats the main thing! I read some of the book "Take Charge of Your Fertility" and its so educational, they say the main three things that can help pinpoint ovulation are cervical mucus, BBT and cervical position, so stick it out with the BBT definitely!

@Flowerkm thanks so much xx

@Mokoblack sucks that everything is up in the air at the moment, hopefully, fingers crossed it'll be okay come March! I use Femometer OPK's and i find them super easy! I did try One Step OPK's but i very rarely got a second line from them tbh.

purplepoppet92 · 28/09/2020 21:27

@mokoblok I am using ones I git from amazon. About 30 strips for £5

Sandiesands · 28/09/2020 21:56
@Flowerkm yeah well I'll give you some of my info! I'm only 23. I got pregnant 3 years ago with my current partner and we didn't go through with the pregnancy. I've regretted it ever since and the guilt just eats me up 😭 my partners now in the army so we've gone down the typical path of TTC and talking about maybe having a small quick wedding! I took Northisterone in January and since then my periods are so messed up my cycles range from 20/30/35 days and they're different every month so I have no idea when I'm ovulating or anything 😫 so stressful.

I have heard these pills work though called seven seas trying to conceive. They give you the extra nutrients and things like that which make conceiving easier. My friend used them and they worked for her and there's also so many good reviews online so maybe worth a go? I've bought them but not used them yet!
#flowerkm are you taking your BBT? I am in the same boat, I have no idea what my cycles are like, length, ovulation nothing, however I found taking my bbt very accuarate and helpful so far.

Im 31, been on birth control for 16 years without break, came off in August and AF finally arrived today after a 60 day cycle (Sorry TMI lol). Thought I never be so happy so see her face lol but what I found amazing my BBT chart predicted I would expect it today, so I would definitely say give it a try.

Also, I have been taking conceive Plus tablets - dont know if its coincidence as only been taking them for 12 days but I think they have definitely helped regulate my cycle.

So I am finally on Cycle 2 and fingers crossed for this month 🤞 baby dust to all and hoping we all get our BFP soon x

Sandiesands · 28/09/2020 21:58

btw we are TTC for our 1st xx

2020letsdothis · 28/09/2020 22:18

@purplepoppet92

Am I the only one who can't think of anything else?? I keep thinking "how many days until my fertile window". I need to stop
Snap!! Like a million times a day 🙈🙈
2020letsdothis · 28/09/2020 22:20

@Mokoblack

Oh hi *@CookieMonster3001* nice to see you here too!

Thought I would join. I’m 30 and ttc #1, due to get married in March but it’s all up in the air so decided to start trying after AF this month.

For those using opk which one have you got?

We're due to get married next year too but same as yourself with everything going on we've just been like screw it let's try! What's meant to be will be 🙌🏻🤞🏻
Sandiesands · 28/09/2020 22:48

#2020letsdothis ditto lol 😆

Sandiesands · 28/09/2020 22:49

btw congratulations for your up coming wedding !! :)

AnneZ31 · 29/09/2020 06:46

Hello there. I’d love to jump in. I’m 31 as well and TTC baby #1 for 4 failed months. I am obsessed already too but feeling positive so looks like I’m in good company :)

I have 2 day periods as well, which concerns me. Do you think it’s something to be worried about? My doctor won’t talk to me until I’m 12m TTC.

Fingers crossed for us all this month 🤞🏼

CookieMonster3001 · 29/09/2020 12:34

I agree on some of the comments about the app! I have been tracking my ovulation using BBT and OPKS for the last 4 months, and I have learnt that I ovulate about 4/5 days before my app tells me I do! If I had just gone off my app, I would have been missing my fertile window completely.

I struggle with CM because I barely see any EWCM. I sometimes get watery CM, but not much EWCM, but I have heard that coming off the pill, your CM can reduce quite a bit. I was worried about it at first, but then have decided I am just going to give it a go, and if nothing happens for a while I may consider taking evening primrose oil.

@flowerkm I come from an indian background and after getting married, thats all anyone ever asks! Its quite frustrating as you never know what someone is going through in their personal life.

@wildraisins thank you, you are right! Its crazy, even my mum is telling me I am not getting any younger and I need to have a child now. She went through it with her mother in law, so you would think she would know better then to say that to me! Crazy!! And then they say just dont stress and it will happen naturally. Well I will stop stressing when you stop asking me or butting your nose into my business!!

I know they mean well, but its so annoying!

@purplepoppet92 nope you are not the only one! 11 days till my fertile window! lol and probably 23 days till I can take a pregnancy test. I have already figured out that if I concieve this cycle, then my baby will be born July 9th! LOL i'm so sad.

@mokoblack hey hun! I am using easy@home OPK's and then the clear blue once I get a strongish line on my OPK just to confirm.

AF started for me this morning so thats one good thing!! It should be out of the way by Thursday and then I will be OPK testing. Eeek!

bez91 · 29/09/2020 13:21

Hi all, I'll be joining the October crew 👋 Currently waiting for peak on OPKs.

TTC #2, I am 29, DD is almost 3 and asks for a sister every single day 😂 been trying 3 months and last month had a miscarriage at 6 weeks so currently on CD18 and still waiting for peak so it has knocked my cycle out a bit.

Hope October is a good one for all

Milsplus3 · 29/09/2020 13:32

Hi can I join you Smile planning to ttc no4 next month. I have long cycles usually 5 weeks so I’m a bit unsure about ovulation testing and what dates to begin etc if any one has any experience? I was younger and had regular periods with my other 3 so it’s new territory for me! Lots of baby dust to you all and fingers crossed for bfp soon.

AKC88 · 29/09/2020 13:49

Hi everyone,

I'm 32 and TTC baby 3. Had mirena coil removed in July and have since had a 37 day cycle and a 42 day cycle annoyingly. Currently in the midst of AF. I used OPK's last month but thinking about tracking BBT this month too just to see what I notice but I'm useless at remembering things and wake up several times a night.

Fingers crossed for a positive Oct for all.

chillyfields · 29/09/2020 14:01

I'm in a similar situation to a lot of you and just wanted to say hi. I'm 32, TTC#1, this is our 5th cycle. Never expected it to be this difficult, and this cycle in particular I'm finding a struggle (also trying to buy a place and I've just been made redundant - talk about the worst timing). Currently in my TWW, on 5DPO. Really really desperately trying not to symptom spot but I seem to have had a lot of abdominal twinges the past few days. I know it's waaaaaay too early but can't help but get my hopes up, a teeny tiny bit... It would just be a nice end to a pretty horrible year!

eloiseislost · 29/09/2020 14:14

Hi everyone! I'm 33, TTC#1, cycle 2. Currently CD5 so I'll start testing for ovulation tomorrow, can't wait to open my CB digital! My last cycle was 24 days, the shortest I've had for as long as I can remember! Normally I'm between 26-30 days. Good luck to us all! 🧚🏼‍♀️

AnneZ31 · 29/09/2020 21:07

@eloiseislost I’ll start opk testing tomorrow too. And likely peak on Sunday/Monday! Good luck!

@chillyfields totally agree, didn’t expect it to be so hard... we spend so long trying not to get pregnant at any cost. Nobody tells us it’ll be so hard when we eventually want to!

purplepoppet92 · 29/09/2020 21:55

@eloiseislost we are on the same CD - also planning on ov testing from tomorrow. Will be interested to see how you get on xx

dollymoo · 29/09/2020 22:06

Can I join also. I'm 29 and we will be trying for #2 after my next period at the end of October so want to use this month to try and figure out when ovulate. My cycles are long roughly 32 days

2020letsdothis · 29/09/2020 22:33

Have just ordered a BB thermometer off amazon, was cheap enough at £9.99 (some were so expensive!) so going to start checking! Hopefully it works ok. Do you guys just check every day to keep an eye on it? Or is it like OPKs, so you start checking at a certain time of the month? Sometimes I really think I have no idea what I'm doing 😂 isn't it funny how you spend years trying so hard not to get pregnant, then all of a sudden it's like right ok, I want a baby right now 😂🙈

Flower3411 · 29/09/2020 23:12

@2020letsdothis BBT needs to me done in the morning as soon as you wake up, preferably at the same time each day! I would recommend an app to put each temp in and they will create a graph for you! Good luck starting to temp xx

Diamond3253 · 29/09/2020 23:14

TTC for one month now! Regular since coming off pill two years ago!

Moving in with partner this weekend so we can finally have sex every other day! We just caught my ovulation this month so fingers crossed!

Good luck to all ladies here!!!

eloiseislost · 30/09/2020 06:36

@purplepoppet92 @AnneZ31 Empty circle for me this morning on the CB digital! I reckon the flashing smiley will probably show up during the weekend, fingers crossed!

bez91 · 30/09/2020 06:58

Hi @eloiseislost I read a few times somewhere that the first one is always a blank circle to kind of get your 'baseline' level, don't know if anyone else knows how true this is? This is my second month using them.

I got my peak this morning. Going the full 14dpo as I always do before testing so will try and hold out until 14th October x

eloiseislost · 30/09/2020 07:35

@bez91

Yes, I think I've read that too! It makes sense because instructions tell you to start testing early. To be honest, I would be slightly concerned if my fertile window started the day after my period ended! Still feel a bit yucky and low sex drive! Grin I have zero willpower and an 11-day luteal phase so my goal this month is to hold on until 10dpo to test… Baby steps!! Good luck, keep us posted! Daffodil
CookieMonster3001 · 30/09/2020 11:32

@2020letsdothis I take my temp every morning at 7am (I have an alarm to remind me). I try to make sure that I don't move or talk until the temp has been taken. I agree with @Flower3411 I would recommend an app. I am using Fertility Friend and it has been by far the most accurate so far for me.

@bez91 do you mean it is blank circle for the first time you use the test or for the first cycle? Sorry if that's a silly question! I am due to start using my CB ovulation kit for the first time this month, and not sure what to expect!

I am on my last day of AF today so will start OPK testing tomorrow! I already have the days I want to BD in my diary! I try not to be so regimented about it, but its hard not to be!!

I usually ovulate around CD 12/13, so my aim is to BD on CD7, 9, 11, 12, 13 & 14 with the hopes I will have covered all angles!
