How long did it take for you to conceive your first and second child?

We're beginning to think about number 2 and lots of people I know seem to have struggled with TTC number 2. Just wondering what everyone's experiences have been x

DC1 took 11 months. DC2 took about 10 minutes

Same as PP. DD1 took 9 months (age 26), DD2 took 9 minutes and too much prosecco 😅

First took 3 months, currently trying for no 2, we're on cycle 9 and frustration is setting in!!!!

We’re almost in a similar boat OP - how old is your no 1? Mine is almost 9 months and I think we’ll start trying again in the new year.

We were very lucky and pregnant first cycle for our little one, hoping no 2 is similar

First 3 years and a round of IVF, second one month!

Dc1 6 months, DC2 7 months, DC3 9 months

10 months and 9 months

First took around 12 months
Second took around 5 minutes!

Dc2 first month after a year apart.. Long story!
Dc2 18 mths.. Dc3 first time with out contraception!

DC1 1 month, DC2 7 months (including one mc at 5 weeks)

First (and second, twins) 7 years
Third - one month - had implant out, see above - we’d been told we almost certainly couldn’t conceive naturally.
Surprise!

First - 3rd cycle. Second - 1st cycle.

Straight away both times. Sounds idilic but a bit of a shock. (Yes, I know what happens...)

First was nearly three years, second was a surprise when no 1 was 9 months old!
Third took 1 year and two MCs.

Four months first time, then nearly two years for the second. I was losing all hope.

DD1 - conceived within 3 months of DH and I being together. I was on the pill.

DD2 - 13 months and she’s due in two weeks.

7 pregnancies conceived first time (didn’t all go to term though - we don’t have 7 DC)!

First was a happy accident and after 4 years of trying had to accept number 2 was never going to happen.

Dc1 was a surprise and now pregnant with Dc2 6 weeks after stopping mini pill...good luck xx

DD1, 1st month of trying.
Ttc second, af arrived today so on to second cycle, I just have a feeling its going to be a while this time x

Pregnancy 1 - only time we forgot to use a condom. Now our gorgeous little 3-year-old.
Pregnancy 2 - first month of trying, though ended in TFMR at 12 weeks.
Pregnancy 3 - unexpectedly conceived just three weeks after the TMFR. Now our beautiful little eight month old baby.

We're TTC a third child but my periods haven't returned yet (breastfeeding still) and I don't think I'm ovulating. Feel like number 3 will take a lot longer!

Both first try for us. Very fortunate compared to many.
