Hi girls,
Im currently in the tww and wondering if anyone is too and wants to share their journey. Im currently 8DPO and am doing my best to NOT poas though its so hard! Im literally an addict...but so far so good. Im determined this time to not test before 12DPO!
Bit about me: im 37, Have been ttc for just over a year now and in that time sadly had a MMC x 2 and more recently an ectopic requiring tube removal. So afraid that I wont be able to concieve on the side of my existing tube but ya gota have hope, right?! Hoping for a rainbow baby on this our fourth attempt.

Symptoms so far:
-Bigger boobs but not sore (yet)

  • loads of rumblings going on low down
  • sleepy after food
  • weight loss ( though im on the large side so no harm there!)
  • odd lower back pain
  • VERY emotional (poor hubbie!)

Would love to chat to ladies in a similar boat to symptom share and have a laugh with in this horrible tww fiasco! Fingers crossed for baby dust for all hoping for their BFP ✨🤰🤗❤

@DontFadeAway I have a high BMI also. And albeit, have had losses, this was confirmed to be in no way related.
Dont let that spoil any ounce of joy for you. No health professional is going to make an issue of it. And if they do, they will be kind about it. There are somewhat higher risks for complications but this also applies to the normal BMI group.
Early scans are frequently done internally because, just that, they are early and this route gives the clearest picture.
Iv had both, and not for BMI reasons.
So you see, you have nothing to feel embarassed about or worried about.
Enjoy your pregnancy & be proud girl! Xxx

Well AF arrives full force about 2 hours ago 😔 gonna defo have a drink tonight now I know I'm not pregnant 😂 can anyone recommend the best ovulation tracking apps? This month was our first proper month trying but I never tracked my ovulation xx

DontFadeAway · 06/09/2020 12:09

@ChasingRainbow thank you so much - you've just made me cry! I'm so worried about that initial appointment. I'm so sorry for your previous losses and have still got absolutely everything crossed for you. You have given me so much reassurance I can't thank you enough ♥️

I know my BMI is high, I've lost 2 stone since June but it's still much much higher than I wanted it to be, however we were just incredibly lucky to conceive first time, before I'd managed to shift more weight. I'm fully expecting to be told about all the extra risks but I just hope I don't get looked down on or made to feel awful because of my weight. OH is being amazing and saying that my body is doing an amazing thing... I just hope my midwife is nice about it all (fully expecting to have to be consultant lead after reading up on high BMI)

I think I'm sort of putting off making that initial phone call to the midwife, but I'm only 4 weeks today so I think I'm going to give it another week or so! Xx

ChasingRainbow · 06/09/2020 12:12

Awh @Jessicatayla
Cant help on the ov tracking but its something I need to find out too.
Im sorry AF arrived.
But, look at it this way:

  1. More time for supplements
  2. Today is 1st day of next cycle
  3. Treat yourself a nice drink this eve

Hope to come across you again & see you announce your BFP!!
Best of luck ✨✨🦋

@Jessicatayla sorry to hear AF has arrived but my word, enjoy that glass of wine tonight!!!

Personally, I've used Flo for years to track my periods, then over the last 2 months before TTC I used OPKs alongside Flo to help work out when I was ovulating. I then put the OPK results into Flo and it helped to give a more accurate estimate of ovulation, but without the OPKs it would've been really tricky!xx

ChasingRainbow · 06/09/2020 12:22

@DontFadeAway
You poor lady! Gosh if you lost 2 stone pre pregnancy, thats some achievement!
No midwife or consultant will or SHOULD make you ferl bad, thats not what they are there to do.
Anyway, some women lose a small amount of weight due to the joys of morning sickness. If anything, if you say you are worried, they should refer you to a dietician for pregnancy support. Iv also heard slimming world prog is approved for pregnancy.
I think your OH is dead right.
You conceived! Your body works perfectly!
Now focus on that and tell yourself well done.
No harm to let yourself be known to local midwife team, but you will know when time is right.

Ps. Just a side note. After my ectopic in May, my consultant (who is a leading infertility clinic doctor) told me to fire ahead and aim to get pregnany asap. I was saying I thought I should wait & try shift some weight but he said no, given my age (37)...that waiting would be more problematic than being overweight & pregnant. So there you go! Not medical advice and just relates to me but I thought this might give you a lift ❤

Enjoy your pregnancy babe. Your body are awesome! X

@ChasingRainbow you are amazing. Thank you so much, you've really helped to calm some of my anxieties! I'm trying to have the attitude of "I've managed to fall pregnant, now to be the healthiest I can be during my pregnancy." ♥️

How are you feeling today? 14DPO? Any signs?xx

ChasingRainbow · 06/09/2020 12:43

Aww delighted could help you in some way @DontFadeAway! And you're absolutely right. Now is time to do what you can to be as healthy as you can. And you will do it, for that gorgeous little one! ❤

No news from me, this is soooo odd. Im currently 14DPO, no signs of AF. Thought she was here 2 days ago but No!
Think iv only ever had one dodgy cycle evee before (excluding pregnancy) so this really is a head scratcher!
Its funny, now that im due or officially late tomorrow, I feel less inclined to want to waste a test!!
Will prob do a frer tomorrow morn or ideally on tuesday.
Im off for a couple days to intend on having lots of nice days out to keep myself distracted. Will keep you girls updated I promise!! X

ChasingRainbow · 06/09/2020 13:54

Think will do that frer tomorrow morning

Hi & welcome @Karlex30 👋
Really sorry to read of your recent loss.
You are definately in the right place here for some helpful advice by some lovely ladies!

This sounds very promising as a possible implantation bleed. Im guess as your mc was only 6 weeks ago, you wouldnt be sure when you ovulated?
Will keep 🤞 this is very positive for you!
Maybe do a frer in a couple days?
Baby dust x ✨❤

OP posts:
Imog · 06/09/2020 15:03

@ChasingRainbow I really hope it's a positive on a frer for you! If not could it be really late ovulation and in that case get BD tonight 😜

I'm on 10dpo now ladies absolutely shattered today. Feel rubbish, been crying on and off for the past 4 days but that's normal for me before af 😂

Headache today and yesterday and I've just had a drop in my BBT either an implantation dip if I'm being hopeful or maybe more likely my body is gearing up for af I'm due Thursday 😢

@SeekingCoffee33 so sorry to hear 😔 hopefully next month loveky!

Is anyone tracking temperature on here?

Wishing everyone else more positives 🎉🎊

Jadeb1995 · 06/09/2020 15:28

@Imog hopefully it's implantation! I track BBT also

mouldygrapes · 06/09/2020 15:33

Hey @Imog, also 10 dpo here.
This is the 1st cycle I’ve done temps properly.
Mine are trending down but not dipped as such since a very obvious dip on d5 po which I’m sure would be too early for implantation.
I have no idea how to interpret it!

SEPT 2020 BPF testing/ two week wait Gals 🤞🤞
Imog · 06/09/2020 17:02

@Jadeb1995 hoping so 🤞 how many months have you tracked? I'm only on month 2 and so far this month looks different to last but I'm still a newbie so not totally sure about it all!

@mouldygrapes ooo maybe you ovulated before it suggests tho and is implantation? I'm still fairly new at it too! When we tried on and off last year I didn't track bbt but I need to give it a real go this time round because I just had endometriosis surgery and apparently you're more fertile straight after! How long have you been trying lovely?

Jadeb1995 · 06/09/2020 17:36

@Imog I'm still on my first month of tracking. AF due today / tomorrow and no temp drop yet

DontFadeAway · 06/09/2020 18:08

@SeekingCoffee33 I'm sorry AF has arrived. Don't give up - try to think of today as the first day of your next cycle. Sending you big hugs and lots of luck for this next cycle xx ✨
