Clear Blue Ultra Early horizontal line- what does this mean?

Hi everyone, I've just taken a Clear Blue Ultra Early pregnancy test and it has the vertical control line as expected, but in the pregnancy window it should show a vertical line if pregnant- mine showed a horizontal line. What does this mean? Faulty test? Has anyone had one of these and been pregnant?

@Amy929292 I'm pretty sure they're caused by dye streaking unfortunately! But I would get a different test just to be sure

Happened to me a few times this cycle, I believe it's a dye run if you take the test apart.

I got this on Friday, have had 2 BFN’s since though so sadly I don’t think it means anything x

@Taylor101 I’d recommend testing again with different tests. I’ve seen recommendations for “frer“ tests. I tested again with some cheap Morrison’s tests and got a faint positive yesterday but a negative today. Confused
