Clear Blue Ultra Early horizontal line- what does this mean?

Hi everyone, I've just taken a Clear Blue Ultra Early pregnancy test and it has the vertical control line as expected, but in the pregnancy window it should show a vertical line if pregnant- mine showed a horizontal line. What does this mean? Faulty test? Has anyone had one of these and been pregnant?

Friesen97 You don’t even have a control line. So based on the instructions, it’s an invalid test.

I had this, but it faded after like 15 min. It’s just the dye running. If you have a control line, I’d still count it as a first test. Positive or negative, you’ll need to take 2 to confirm (that’s why there’s 2 in the box). HCG isn’t produced until after implantation, which can happen up to a week after fertilization. So wait until a week has passed since the day your cycle should have started in order to retest for accuracy. No vertical = not pregnant regardless of whether or not the dye ran horizontally (the direction of the test fibers, which helps wick the urine up into the test).

Heya, I had the same horizontal line this morning. I was confused so I rang the Clear blue support team who confirmed that this is a negative result.
The line in the frame line where the ink runs through.

i test mine again , & it shows this , does anyone really know what it means ?

@tahcvnjj it tells you on the side, your line means it’s negative, not pregnant

Guess its either my af comes or I wait for awhile more to test.

Hi this really confuses me, as online it shows the larger window should be vertical not horizontal? Does this still mean not pregnant? I just had my son in July… also had anyone had a positive result after testing? Or was it still negative? Thanks

Got this result in the Clearblue early pregnancy test. It’s hard to tell but there’s a horizontal line bottom of center similar to other pictures posted here

Did a cheap strip test the next morning which was negative.

Just to note 1 week prior to this I took the morning after pill, which may or may not affect results
