My first 2WW - anyone else?

Hello lovelies!
I’m in the middle of my very first 2ww, 8/9 dpo. It’s slowly driving me crazy and in my head I’ve told myself that I won’t test until 12dpo. I’ve had sore boobs and cramps for the last couple of days but that’s very normal for me in the week leading up to AF. Today my BBT seemed to rise again substantially, over a week into having my usual raised luteal phase temps. It’s the highest it’s ever been in three years of keeping track of my BBT. I know one temp doesn’t mean anything and I’m clutching at straws - like I said it’s slowly driving me crazy! Anyone else in the 2ww and want to pointlessly symptom spot with me? 🤣

@Ducky96 I know, I've actually been there since birth and I'm 29 now...It's turning into a whole saga because I keep arguing it with them. I know I won't win this battle because I've made a nuisance of myself now but i can't help it - they keep saying I'm further away yet I've proven both addresses are the exact same distance and both a 5 minute drive. Apparently going 5 minutes in one direction is fine but if you go 5 minutes in another I'm suddenly "putting pressure on resources". It just sounds like they don't want another pregnant woman to deal with.

That's what I struggled with too - not knowing if what I was feeling was just normal experiences as I've never tracked my actual cycle symptoms before only my period start dates. I admire your patience with regards to testing!! Hopefully you get that BFP at the end of next week!! Smile

Ducky96 · 05/09/2020 16:00

@kittynoire I'm sorry but that's their job and I see no difference it should make to them!! Terrible service by the sound of it. I would be making a fuss to if it was me!

Yeah that's why I'm trying not to stress over it. And would rather wait a few days than be disappointed if its negative. Plus this will be my second period since having my implant out so I'm actually still trying to track what a regular cycle will be for me. So I'm not holding much hope of getting a positive this quickly anyway but you never know. Fingers crossed though!! I wouldn't say I feel different but I definitely don't have the feeling that my period is on it's way. Just keeping everything crossed!

Ducky96 · 05/09/2020 16:05

Also I've occasionally had a twitch on my left side that feels like a stitch. Just comes and goes, not sore it's just there but for no reason.

Ducky96 · 07/09/2020 06:35

So af was due yesterday. No sign of it. None of my usual cramps or sore boobs. Not testing yet. Been feeling just constantly hungry the last couple days but mega bloated. Tmi but got quite a lot of white creamy cm. Again never noticed if I normally have this. Still not holding out much hope but can only pray! Hope you are all well.

Ducky96 · 07/09/2020 07:31

I done a cheap test this morning that I had in the house. Not been to by first response tests yet. Faint positive. Thoughts? This was second morning urine.

Sorry I haven’t posted for a while - we’ve been in turkey and got back last night.

What a shambles of a holiday Grin my son (20 months) was hard work to say the least, I look about 5 months pregnant?! Not joking, the bloating is ridiculous and I’ve convinced myself it’s twins Confused (the do run in our families but I’m trying not to think of that haha) plus I broke my toe , it was eventful to say the least.

Anyway, hope you’re all okay, have we got any more BFP, testing or AF’s?

@kittynoire doctors (receptionists mainly) can be very rude, they did the same with me when I moved and I’d been with them since birth! One (or 2 now!) less to pay for in their eyes, ridiculous. Hope you find a nicer doctors! I’ve forgotten everything, do I need to go through my gp to be assigned a midwife? I haven’t done that yet. I’m 5*1 I think. I’ve booked a really early scan for 6 weeks on the dot (Sunday) because I’m so anxious! Plus I need to tell work ASAP and I may need to work from home so I need to know everything’s okay!

kittynoire · 07/09/2020 18:23

@icouldwriteabook omg the broken toe was a twist I definitely didn't see coming! What an eventful time you've had haha! Hope it's not giving you too much trouble.

Yeah I think you just contact your gp surgery and then they say what you have to do. At my first surgery they just gave me a form to fill in and said the midwife would be in touch at some point in the future (helpful). Now I'm registering with a new one I'm not sure if I have to be seen by a dr first anyway.... I've just dropped my forms off and after explaining the situation they were very helpful and said they would speed up the registration process for me. My first experience of a dr's receptionist being polite and friendly - looks like it's a blessing in disguise that the other one gave me the boot.

Wow I didn't even know you could have a scan that early!!! Let us know how it goes! I'm considering getting more tests in so I can just make sure it's still happening as I feel no different at all.

kittynoire · 07/09/2020 18:29

@Ducky96 I would say that's the same level of faint positive I got on my first test. It was much bolder the next day and the day after that I got a positive digital. I'd buy the FR or clear blue early response ones now and see how they turn out but I think it's looking promising for you! Grin

Ducky96 · 07/09/2020 18:34

@kittynoire I will by first response on Wednesday to test for thing on Thursday morning. I'm working nightshift the next couple days so that will keep me occupied till then and I'll do it with fmu. I've done a couple of these tests previously and they have all been completely blank so I was shocked to see the little line pop up and it came quite quickly. I am only 1 day late so hopefully it's just early. Fingers crossed!!

Ducky96 · 09/09/2020 09:01

I'm in complete shock! Can't quite believe my eyes here!!

@Ducky96 Congratulations!!! This is amazing!! How are you feeling - had any other symptoms pop up? (Sorry for delay in response, been really busy this week)

Ducky96 · 13/09/2020 19:34

@kittynoire thank you! It really is a miracle and I'm so lucky.

Just started feeling slightly sick today but just had a few twinges and I'm belly, can't sleep just keep waking up and can't get comfy or settle just feel so agitated. Very hungry, can't stop eating. And extremely bloated, I look about 5 months pregnant. Me and my partner are convinced its twins! We've got an early scan at 8 weeks so looking forward to that.

Paigey92 · 23/09/2020 21:45

Hello everyone!
I’ve been watching in the background - congratulations on all of your BFPs! So happy for you all.
Thought I would pop on as it would seem that this is indeed a lucky thread... I am in my 2nd 2WW, 9DPO and BFP!! 😁

@Paigey92 Congratulations!!! This thread is on a roll for the BFPs! How you feeling?

@Ducky96 @icouldwriteabook how you both getting on?

My update is that I had my booking appt over the phone yesterday - managed to finally speak to someone about the bleeds and she said unless they come with abdominal cramps then they don't tend to worry now so that's put my mind at rest a little bit at least. Now the wait for the 12 week scan begins... I didn't realise how agonising all the waiting would be or how nerve wracking it is, constantly thinking "is everything okay in there".

Ducky96 · 26/09/2020 09:09

@kittynoire how far along are you again? Hope you are getting on well and got your gp sorted out!

2 weeks today till my early scan. Feels like forever. Then 3rd November for my 12 week dating scan. Very tired and working nights doesn't help. Slept all day yesterday after my shift, up for a couple hours in the evening then sleeping again for 8 and got a 12 hour sleep through the night. Finally managing to sleep through the night now though as spent a good few days waking up and not being able to get back to sleep. Not had any sickness just feel a bit queasy when I get hungry bit goes away after I eat. Bloated and my boobs are starting to hurt. Doing well apart from that. Bit concerned about work as I have a lot of heavy lifting but midwife said not to worry too much as long as I'm doing it properly but thinking about telling work after my early scan as I'll be nearly 9 weeks.

kittynoire · 29/09/2020 17:41

@Ducky96 I'm 9 weeks and got GP all sorted thanks Smile Had to call the midwife yesterday as I'd had red bleed for three days and her advice is just to wait and see what happens - because of Covid they won't have me in at the hospital for early scan unless it's heavy bleeding with severe cramping. I'm getting twinges and some very mild period type pains which hopefully is a sign that the pregnancy is developing but on the flip side my nausea has disappeared so I'm constantly bouncing between being positive and expecting the worst... Confused

The only other thing is that I am routinely waking up at the crack of dawn now - this is very out of character for me, I am not a morning person at all and sleeping is quite literally my favourite thing haha! Fingers crossed it's a good sign.

I would tell your work soon too - I told mine 3 weeks ago because they were making all sorts of plans for me and I had to make sure they didn't follow through with them haha. Never imagined I'd tell my boss before telling my parents but here we are!

Good luck with the early scan, let us know how you get on!! How exciting you get to see your little one soon!! Grin

Ducky96 · 30/09/2020 07:30

@kittynoire glad tou got gp sorted. Oh no. I'd be freaking out I have to say if I was bleeding. Try and stay positive though. Easier said than done! I'd say that's a good sign. Are you getting any naps or anything or going to bed earlier? My sleeping pattern is non existent and cannot sleep through the night. I am constantly exhausted. I just get so uncomfortable and irritated at night and can't settle. Ended up on the couch the other night because the sound of my OH breathing was frying my brain. Seem to be always getting cramps at night too due to wind. It's just a nightmare. And now my boobs are aching so I'm even more uncomfortable. This better all settle down as it's really early to be this annoyed and uncomfortable!!

Oh god. Yeah sounds like you had to tell your work! Yeah I think I'm going to after my scan next week. I'm very excited and I think it will feel real then!

Stay positive and keep safe!
