My first 2WW - anyone else?

Hello lovelies!
I’m in the middle of my very first 2ww, 8/9 dpo. It’s slowly driving me crazy and in my head I’ve told myself that I won’t test until 12dpo. I’ve had sore boobs and cramps for the last couple of days but that’s very normal for me in the week leading up to AF. Today my BBT seemed to rise again substantially, over a week into having my usual raised luteal phase temps. It’s the highest it’s ever been in three years of keeping track of my BBT. I know one temp doesn’t mean anything and I’m clutching at straws - like I said it’s slowly driving me crazy! Anyone else in the 2ww and want to pointlessly symptom spot with me? 🤣

I’m officially out this month - AF made an appearance today and boy has she come with a vengeance this month! On to the next month of trying. One thing this month has taught me is that I know my usual PMS symptoms and need to stop overthinking them/wishing they’re something more than they are! But I know I’ll be exactly the same next month 🤣

@Paigey92 oh sorry to hear the wicked witch arrived! AF is due tomorrow for me and I can’t make sense if it’s coming or not. I still have the feeling like I’ve done a lot of sit ups in my lower abdomen, which is not how cramps usually feel. And my boobs are definitely bigger! Anyway either way what I have learnt is not to test too early, as I think I tested too early to get anything but a false negative even if I am pregnant.

@icouldwriteabook Thanks! It's been on and off for four days now so I think it's just AF making a really weird, early entrance - I'm trying to hold off from testing until Sunday so that she has time to make herself known before I waste a test.

@Paigey92 Sorry that it's not your month but I have everything crossed for you that next month is the one! I get what you mean about the symptoms - having the odd headache and feeling tired before my period is the norm but now I'm second guessing everything. Just want AF to arrive properly so I can stop thinking about it for a bit!

@Ducky96 No advice I'm afraid but welcome! Fingers crossed for you that you get some good news at the end of your tww. How you feeling now?

@kittynoire I'm not too bad now. Cramps have disappeared but keep getting little twinges now and again. 10 days till period is due but feeling pretty chilled. Not stressed myself out too much this time round as it's my first month without my implant. Had a proper period a week after it was removed which is when it was due anyway. Not done any tests or anything this month just tracking the days of my period and making sure my cycles are normal. But fingers crossed I could be lucky!

What's your situation and hows it going?

@Ducky96 welcome! No advice as such on cramps but I had them too from 4dpo and they didn’t feel like AF cramps, more like a pulling sensation and like I had done a lot of sit ups! Hoping to test tomorrow or Sat

@kittynoire fingers crossed for you it is an implantation bleed! I really Few like I know so little about these things

@MrsBmaybebaby I'm 4dpo today. The cramps were worse the other day but yeah feels inbetween sit up pain a a stitch on my left side. How many dpo are you now? Looking forward to seeing how your test goes!

@Ducky96 think I’ll be 12/13 dpo tomorrow (wasn’t the most exact with the ovulation sticks given that it’s the first month!) it’s so weird to have quite a few symptoms and then remind myself that I probably get these lots of months! The cramps definitely do feel of a different sort. When are you planning on testing?

@MrsBmaybebaby sounds far enough on to test hopefully. When is AF due? Yeah that's true! Just not used to paying attention to every little thing! I won't be testing till after my period is due. Will probably try and give it a couple days after if it doesn't arrive on time just to be sure. As I say not pinning too much hope as it's the first month and may take my body a couple months to return to normal but I guess it's just a waiting game!

Got my BFP at 12 DPO yesterday!

The top test is out of date by 2 months, so I needed to do 2 more new ones to be sure. They were both very very faint until around 20-30 mins after the first result. We’re actually away with in laws now so I will be doing a clear blue when we’re back. I’m definitely not believing it until I see that digital £20 one!

I will say- I had very few symptoms and was convinced AF was coming, I broke out in a few spots on my face and was getting cramps/discharge. All my normal AF prep. The only symptom was excessive bloating, I look 5 months pregnant!

@icouldwriteabook Oh my god congratulations!!!! Such exciting news, so so happy for you!! Let us know when you've taken the digital but I'm pretty sure it'll show the same result! 

@Ducky96 @MrsBmaybebaby I don't know what the hell is going on with me to be honest.... So my bleeding has been only when I wipe and only once a day, I put pads on convinced that I'd wake up to AF had arrived and so far they've not been touched. Nothing as of yet this morning so I don't know whether it's stopped (this would be the 5th day if it was to continue). Last two days I've had pretty bad headaches and been exhausted to the point where after work I have a lie down in bed, then go have dinner then fall asleep on the sofa or go back to bed really early. I can't read too much into that though as being tired and having headaches is really common for me so I can't class them as "symptoms".

My tests are arriving today so I need to see if I can hold out until at least Sunday (period due on Monday) .... do tests work okay in the afternoon or should I wait for FMU? I can see me giving in and doing it as soon as it arrives today but would that be a waste of a test? Roughly 12dpo today...

@kittynoire I would do FMU for sure as I think amount of hcg is still relatively low at this stage, so it’s less diluted in the morning.

@icouldwriteabook congratulations!!!! So pleased for you - it looks like I will be joining you on the pregnancy rollercoaster as I got a BFP on a digital this morning!!!! unfortunately I needed the loo at 4am and so had to do it then and so we’ve been up since this far too excited to sleep !!!!!!

In that case, I'll hold out until Sunday. I'm sitting an exam tomorrow morning so probably best not to find out either way just before I do that haha! You watch, AF will arrive on Sunday morning now!

@kittynoire definitely first thing in the morning! Afternoon is risky as your HCG levels may give you a false negative (they did with me on the cheap strip tests) I couldn’t sleep so did mine at 1am! And it worked, but normal people wait until they wake up haha.

I’d love to see more BFP and we could look at a group on Facebook or something. I did this with my son and it honestly has been the best thing ever.

How is everyone feeling today?

@Ducky96 I feel horrendous! One of my wisdom teeth has suddenly started trying to come through again (it’s sideways) and the last time it did this I was pregnant with my son! Probably a coincidence but due to being pregnant (weird saying that!) they can’t give me strong pain killers or certain antibiotics, so I’ve just got to have whatever they can give me, and I go on holiday tomorrow! Not to mention I’m knackered.

Apart from the moaning I feel very lucky and it hasn’t really sank in properly yet.

@kittynoire that’s 100% positive! Mine were extremely faint until yesterday, you’ll just be early on! Keep doing them first thing in the morning and they’ll get bolder!

Sorry for the delay in response. I had a while I needed to get away from the chats, was getting too obsessed and wasn't good.

Still waiting for auntie Flo to be due (1 day) but still feel strange. Weird cold tingly nipples, and the cramps aren't like normal pmt but not getting excited. Super constipated and felt nausea this morning. But could be nothing. Feel like I could be pregnant one minute and not the next. Keep getting super ragey too.

@icouldwriteabook Ohhh I feel for you with the wisdom teeth! This happened to me years ago and ended up getting them all taken out. Fingers crossed you feel better now?!

I ended up taking four tests in total and they all said pregnant so I think it's pretty conclusive haha!

Been trying to register with the midwife at my GP today and it took a turn I wasn't expecting as I updated my address at the same time and they surprised me by saying actually their taking me off the list instead and told me to find somewhere else.... Not what I needed right now!

@kittynoire wow that's strange!! And what was there reason for that?! Yeah I'd say you're definitely pregnant then haha. Congratulations again! How many weeks will you be now?

Yeah I'm not bad. Af is due tomorrow but not got any my usual pains to say it will show up. I will a few days past sunday to test though.

@Ducky96 Out of catchment area by a distance that's so minuscule it's absurd. They could make an exemption if they wanted to but won't and now I've made a nuisance of myself they definitely won't so I'll have to get the ball rolling with registering elsewhere on Monday.

Fingers crossed for you! It sounds promising if your not getting the usual signs that she's about to arrive. Keep us updated! I'm six weeks on Monday - doesn't feel real yet but I think that's partly because I keep telling myself not to get excited as it's still early days. I really need to discuss my on/off bleeds with someone to put my mind at rest.

Been feeling a bit queasy the last couple days. But no boob pain, no spotting. A few twinges in low belly and lower back which I very unusual. I get back pain through my job but its higher up and I've been off for a week so its definitely not that. I'm noting it all down so that I know if this is normal and it's just things I don't normally notice but not been stressing myself too much about it all. Due tomorrow so probably test midweek or Friday if it's still not here.

Aww that's exciting though!! It will fly by till your 12 week scan hopefully!
