BD positions: I've been told that for a tilted uterus you need something from the back like the doggy or leap frog (tmi sorry!). But anyway they're painful and I hate them so this will not be fun for me. Hubby grinning like a Cheshire cat when I told him we have to change positions this month.

Don't buy the FRER, do not buy it!!! I think you're all stocked up for a couple of months anyway :P. If you buy it you have to use it after you get a faint positive on the cheapies.

Also have you heard of the Sperm meets Egg Plan. I am sure you're probably all doing it. But basically they say you start BD at cycle day 8 and you BD every other day. You have to use OPK's from cycle day 10 and once you get your peak you BD for 2 days in a row then skip a day and BD again. After that you don't have to BD (unless you want to anyway :P). To be honest I've naturally been doing it but thought I'd throw it in there if anyone is not.

Also wanted to give an update on AF and the "Mooncup". Basically mine doesn't hold enough, I lose a lot of blood due to PCOS as I've mentioned before, but my cups keep overflowing if unchanged in 3 hours which is better than the tampon but a still doesn't solve my issues for sleeping :(

Oh shame that is horrible that it hurts you I love those positions. What a pity that it hurts you even if your cervix is high does it hurt?

SMEP I have heard of it but I heard you start from the day you finish your period and then every other day and then day of peak and day after (2 days in a row) then skip a day and do it the day after so same thing you said just starting a little earlier. I have done it mostly like that except that I dont usually do it the day after skipping after O. So might add that one in hahah.

Ahhh no thats absolutely brutal that the cup is too small. So sorry hun. What rubbish man.

As for the FRER I have about 50 opks but 25 are pro matris and I don't want to use those lol. As for pg tests I have about 16 left of easy@home but only a CB digital to back up a cheapie positive which is no good for testing early. I know I am so bad justifying my spending habits 😂😂😂

@candycrush2298 I think my cervix doesn't go up very high :S unsure but usually in those positions I can feel the hit against my cervix (if that's even what I am feeling)

Add in the day after skipping after O. Just to be on the safe side.

I've emailed them but I ordered the largest size cup so may have to go for a different brand. In general though it did a really good job :D.

Hmmm you are a bit low on PG tests. I'd say it gives you reason to buy one? How much is FRER normally by the way?

The cup sounds interesting, I've not tried using one before. I might try it if I have no success again this month! First month trying clear blue ovulation test so will see how I get on with that first.

@Elakiya ahhhh man that truly blows. I wonder if there is like anything you can use or take that will make it less painful I mean I know hubby is totally over the moon about it hahaahha but not fun for you.

Hmmm yeah sounds like you may need a bigger one but do you get bigger sizes when I was searching it was just cheapies on ebay and I saw 25/30ml cups are there bigger sizes than that?

@candycrush2298 Genuinely hope my cervix is not low though, scared it would result in cervical incompetence (where your cervix opens early?). Actually what is your cervix meant to feel like, I know you guys check if its high or low how do you check?

@Elakiya I had no idea there was a thing such as cervix incompetence. Omg!!!!
I started just after my periods ended as then there isnt blood so its not too gross but it would still be open and it feels like a hard ball with a hole in the front hahah and then i felt it everyday and felt it going higher and getting softer getting closer to ovulation. And then mine goes down low again and hard but there isn't like a hole anymore so I guess that means its closed lol during the tww but it kept going high and soft or staying high and soft so I stopped tracking it because it helped me nothing.

@candycrush2298 they are £7.31 on my Amazon. I find it still so expensive, especially when you have an addiction like ours haha!!
I'm not sure AF will arrive tomorrow but definitely within the next few days. I literally feel like my boobs have gone up a size, i don't know why but they appear huge and sore this month! Each cycle just throws something new my way 🙈

Ive never heard of cervix incompetence either!! Girls im learning so much on this group haha. I don't check my cervix anymore, it's rubbish. Last month it was everything it should be when conceived but AF still came

@Kaybobx I bought mine off a brand called Hun. I emailed them all my questions how to put it on, how to take it out, why it's leaking. In the end they realised I was leaking due to my flows and have offered to give me a full refund and sent me a link to a cup that's bigger.

Note: When it's filled with blood the cup is slightly harder to remove, I've found.

@candycrush2298 Cervical incompetence is when the cervix opens early and causes you to miscarry. Yh I know have 2 people that have had it, one has miscarried 3 times. I think the first was an abortion, the second was carried to 5 months and then the cervix opened. Then the third time she had it stitched but the stitches came undone and she miscarried.

The second person carried her baby to full term but the baby was born with underdeveloped lungs so died the day he was born.

@Elakiya I have just seen a thing called Tempdrop you wear it on your arm and it tracks your BBT while you sleep but omg its expensive lol!! Just makes me more determined to get this temping thing right 🤣🤣🤣

@Kaybobx lol you need to set reminders on your phone like maybe 10min before you leave the house that clearly say "EAT BREAKFAST", "TAKE VITAMINS" I have to have reminders for everything LOL.

You know i was wondering about that too obviously I will keep testing the first few weeks to watch those lines darken but after that passes like what am I going to do? Probably bargain hunt for baby clothes and hopefully planning the nursery will take a lot of time 🤣🤣🤣 who knows but I am going to need something.

@candycrush2298 Yes! Must get organised! My husband brought this lovely little shelving unit to put up by our kettle that literally has all our vitamins on.... i still forget haha!! 🙈

If AF hasn't arrived by the time they arrive i might take one for the fun of it just because im an idiot but still have one for the next cycle at least haha!!

@Kaybobx I have no idea how/why cervical incompetence occurs.

Forgot to mention in my last post that the second lady who carried to full term had to have cervix stitched. The under developed lungs of the baby was not due to cervical incompetence. Just sad that she carried to full term and lost in the end.

If you have cervical incompetence they tell you to basically stay in bed all the time.

@candycrush2298 just looked at temp drop! Sooo expensive. Let’s just try to do the whole thing this month and see if we spot anything useful. If I don’t notice anything I won’t do it next month because it just disturbs my sleep lol.

You guys mentioned testing to see the lines get darker. I watched a video where a woman said she was having twins and because her HCG levels were so high it came out as negative ( initially started as positive but as time progressed the tests were negative) based on that even if you only have one baby in you after say 2 months will pregnancy tests stop picking up the pregnancy? I’d want to keep testing for 8 weeks to ensure nothing is wrong.

@Elakiya that is truly so sad. I cant imagine the heartbreak she must have felt.

And I have read that too I read that one girl never got a positive pg test but no periods and she kept feeling pregnant and had terrible morning sickness and the drs only used urine test and said she wasn't pg and then eventually after like 8 weeks they sent her for a scan to see what was wrong and she was having twins. Had they just done a blood test they would have picked it up. Absolutely mental how that works hey.

I agree with you I would also keep testing to make sure nothing is wrong. I might relax after the first scan (private scan at lkle 6 weeks that is lol) but I am paranoid so I would probably stress until the first trimester is over and the chances of miscarriage drop you know. Who am I kidding I have no idea what I will do. Probably freak out like a mad woman until I go into labour 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Glad I've found the new thread!! I'm on CD3 and due on 21/08! Just bought a BBT this month to start temping... no clue what I'm doing if anyone can offer advice? Baby dust to you all!!

The only thing I think with regards to the cups etc. Is surely the sperm that shoot out first and immediately swim up are the best 😂 the ones that are closest to the cervix.

An incompetent cervix can be caused by a number of things, trauma, or treatment after having abnormal cells on a smear. Sometimes there's just no reason.
This usually causes a problem going into the second trimester when the weight of the pregnancy is heavier. If a woman had certain risk factors such as the ones mentioned above - she may have cervical length scans after 12 weeks and as prev mentioned a suture inserted to help the cervix remain closed. They are amazing things!
