5 failed rounds of IVF and I'm bloody preggers!!!!

Oh my god. I just have to tell SOMEONE.

We have had 5 failed rounds of IVF, the last one failed last year. Spent tens of thousands of pounds to no avail.

My period was late (which is standard really, it's all over the place at the moment) and I thought I'd just do a test so I could put the thought of being pregnant out of my mind and carry on waiting for AF to turn up.

And fuck me it was positive (excuse the language!!). I'm literally beside myself!! I have never had a BFP and was told to stop IVF, there was nothing more they could do.

It's very early, so praying all goes ok, but this is more than I've ever had before.

Joining in with the congratulations. I too posted a thread titled "the opposite of is it a line" when after 5 years TTC and a round of IVF I finally got a BFP. They take a little while to sink in and I still have my positive tests in my drawer which everytime I open it I think how gross it is that I have sticks I've pissed on in there but having waited so long to see a BFP I can't bring myself to chuck them out. My DD is now a lively cheeky toddler who's only just stopped singing in her cot and gone to sleep.

I also have my tests, in Dd memory box as strong as the day I did them.

I'm another annoying soul, many failed IVF and multiple losses. Then Dd appeared naturally after being told nothing further they could do. It gets better. Lockdown. When was my period, I muse after fifteen years of tracking and invasive tests, yup, was ten weeks pregnant and didn't even realise. That's toddlers for you. Now 17 and still walking in a daze.

Thank you again so much everyone! I'm so grateful for your good wishes. We are now arguing about how to tell our parents 🤣 Never did I think we'd be able to argue about that so it's fine by me!

Given you're going to have a LOT of test results, put them together and photograph them all, and send them the photo at the same time. Caption '43 tests cannot be wrong' . Job done.

OP, not read the full thread, but praying for you and fingers crossed for you too. After five rounds of IVF I got pregnant too. Now have two boys. Greatest happiness ever. I remember the shock. Take care of yourself. Take folic acid. I hope you have an easy time of it so you can enjoy being pregnant.
