Hey girls as we are about to get thrown out of our thread I have started a new one so we can continue manically looking for EWCM, sore (.)(.)s and orange feet whilst chanting 'in with love, out with BFNs'.

Come on over/in

StarlightMcKenzie I think that's sounds perfect

Well I am confused.... I am 2 DPO and I think I may have ovulated twice... I had two LH surges but I thought maybe the first one was a bit faint to be a BFP so persumed I just had one when I got the 2nd one. Anyway I am now on my fourth day of OV pain. I feel like I've got a constant stitch its quiet uncomfortable. Also my cervix is still high open and soft even though by my calculations I hatched an egg 3 cays ago so am 2 DPO.

Will try and jump DP tonight just incase. Who knows maybe the first one was false. Anyone else had 4 days worth of OV pain?

GryffinGirl · 01/11/2007 14:09

Starlight are you are bored as me with this 2WW lark? soooo boring!

Not sure my DH would be thrilled with a used wee stick, but then surely they would be swept along in the moment and not really think of the health and safety aspects . You could always have the waiter bring over his main course, life up one of those lid thingies (a choche?) and lo and behold there's a little pair of bootees or something

no i haven't yet anniemac, i have been to the docs twice in the last month, once with very late period ( she said that it was one of those things) and second i was bleeding very slight from cd9 - cd12, she said it was ovulation bleeding!! never heard that before or every had that!!! she said that they would not start any investigation until we were ttc for over a year!!! one thing i have just read is that if your body mass index is less than 18.5 is is very difficult to conceive, mine is only about 17.3 ( but i am very healthy) so who knows

hedgepig · 01/11/2007 20:02

Sarah all this stuff like ... you mustn't be too heavy or too light or too old or too unfit or drink too much is so frustrating because it is all averages. I am the opposite end of the BMI spectrum to you but I conceived very quickly at over 35 for my DS when looking at all the "advice" I shouldn't have done. However trying for number 2 is a completely different kettle of fish I agree with you if you are fit and healthy you should be OK, ttc is stressy enough without adding another thing to worry about !

Bucky2007 · 01/11/2007 20:36

I'm alive, I'm alive . Guess what the oven did not kill me! [hgrin].

Well did my OPK today on the train to Bath and it was negative. I'm guessing it will be the same as last month around CD14. CD12 today so we will see.

I tell you getting the dog has REALLY made me think about parenthood. If I feel SO bad about leaving a dog (with someone coming to see him in the day) what am I going to be like with a dc!! I actually cried today because Finn was in the garden in the dark and I missed my train! Pathetic doesn't begin to cover it.

Pixie ov pain sounds interesting...you could have twins!!! Little elves with green outfits and cute blonde pageboy hair.

gryffin not much longer...you've almost done a week!

Madoldbird and Lockets and everyone who showed concern for the state of my tongues health...THANKS girls

. I think I have lost about 4lbs in a week too from all the walking the dog!

digitalgirl · 01/11/2007 20:37

starlight lol at wee stick pressie!

pixie keep bd'ing, do not stop, I repeat, do not stop. Remember when I got the opk+ on CD20 and then my cervix went completely soft for four days leading up to CD35? I thought it was a PG symptom, it was actually me ov'ing. keep bd'ing and only start counting dpo once your cervix has dropped back down again!

bucky are you ok? are you out there? have you poisoned yourself and DP? will I have to rally the MN troops to come resuscitate you? who will feed Finn his cream cheese?

sarahnh sorry our can you go to another doctor and tell them you've been ttc for a year already? it's horrible when you just want some answers and the whole ttc thing is so unpredictable.

am cd5, have shaken off yesterday's bug (temp stayed the same this morning - yay), AF has gone, have fingers crossed for early ov this cycle...having all sorts of weird boob and ov-type sensations. am polishing my binoculars ready for the long egg hunt ahead.

digitalgirl · 01/11/2007 20:38

there you are!!!

07mumstheword · 01/11/2007 21:10

Sounds like lots of hopeful symptoms going on here. I hate the 2ww but being on cd5 I'm rather wishing I was on it. How strange it this TTC lark, of course I want a BFP at the end of it this time!

starlight It's the thought that counts and you can't get much more thoughtful than a beautiful presentation of a wee stick!

Bucky glad you're ok today. You were in my neck of the woods today, I live 20 minutes away from Bath.

Hi I'm going scatty here. I have sore boobs and nipples; more so than usual, nipples also redder than usual and the gland bits seem more pronounced plus more CM than usual (sorry about the number of usuals above)

BUT I have cramps like my AF is about to start and some slight bleeding, I'm not due till Sunday

am I kidding myself?

GryffinGirl · 02/11/2007 10:35

Morning all!

Bucky - you are not dead . Can you speak or are you comminucating in grunts and whistles . I'd write to Mr Muscle and tell him that his product nearly killed you, but that you won't complain furhter if they give you a lifetime supply

DG - good luck with the egg hunt. Glad you are feeling better! Was laughing at you reading the sex columns more intently. I have been doing the same to try and keep things interesting when TTC.

Pixie - I had the same thing last month. I am convinced I ovulated twice, but even with a double shot, nothing happened which is all rather disappointing, but shan't dwell on it . Who was it on this thread that said they were an eternal optimist? That's def me at the meoment. Maybe excitable or DG? Bucky?

CD 23 and nothing of interest to report - slightly sore (.)(.) last night, but that's faded this morning, very mild cramping, CM, spots (lots !) and huge amounts of impatience! This has been the worst wait my MILES. I am sooo impatient this month.

hedgepig - they sound like very promising symptoms

hello to 07MTW, exctable, sarah etc.

digitalgirl · 02/11/2007 15:51

GG when are you testing? Are you a 28 dayer or a 30 dayer?? I'd probably be just about ov'ing on CD23 (if I get lucky this cycle!).
I think no symptoms is a good sign, look at sweetkitty she had none and got a BFP!

cbcb hello girl! have you moved yet? any chance of persuading DH to give TTC'ing another go?

sweetkitty · 02/11/2007 15:55

I STILL don't have any symptoms sometimes think my boobs are tingling but am probably making it up.

terramum · 02/11/2007 16:21

Hello everyone - been hanging round here a little so thought I'd post here to relieve some of the stress

Currently on CD53 with no sign of AF...cycles are usually long...but not this long EVER! Usually around 36ish days...42 at the most.

Very very confused...we only BD once this month (our anniversary ) 26 days ago & I think I might have ovulated round then as I had EWCM...but wasn't thinking we'd get pg at all really...but here I am with no AF, having had all kinds of weird symptoms that come & go. Tested on CD38 & this morning, both negative . Cervix has been consistently high though for the past week or so & still is today...going a bit loopy as you can imagine - HELP!

07mumstheword · 02/11/2007 16:25

Sorry terramum no advice but just wanted to say as hard as it must be please don't go completely mad! Digital Girl is probably the best for giving you advice as she has also been having long cycles and she is a fountain of all knowledge TTC! I'm sure she'll give you some pearls of wisdom later. sit tight.

digitalgirl · 02/11/2007 18:32

Terramum hello! You poor thing, CD53 is a long time to wait with no answers.
Ok, here's my take based on the info in your post...

If you had sex 26 days ago, the egg would have implanted at the latest 14 days ago and you would have had two weeks to build up the HCG hormone that pregnancy tests pick up. Unless you're one of those rare women who take ages to build up the hormones then it's unlikely your pg.

You're body has probably made several attempts at ovulating over the past 7 weeks, hence the EWCM 26 days ago. You may even find you've had random days with EWCM and then nothing for ages. This is your body attempting to build up enough oestrogen hormone in order to release an egg. If your cervix is high, this is another fertile sign, so it's probably going for another attempt right now! Drink lots of grapefruit juice to encourage EWCM and keep having sex until the EWCM goes and your cervix drops back down again.

However, I have heard that when ovulation is so late the egg isn't always viable, so it may not implant or grow properly. If you'd rather wait till this cycle is over then do as much as you can to relax - book a massage and weekend away anything! Hopefully that should bring on ovulation and then two weeks later you should get your period. It's a bloody long time to wait though, so in the meantime go see your doctor. Tell them your cycle has been really long and you want a blood test to check your hormones. If possible, ask for a day 3 test, this should compare the two hormones in your body needed to bring on ovulation.

My doc referred me for a day 19/21 blood test which tests for the amount of progesterone in your body after you've ovulated. I'm not sure of the relevance of this yet as it's not 'after' ovulation I'm worried about yet, it's before.

Sorry for the long post. I hope this helps. I've been reading Toni Weschler's 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' even though I've only been trying for 3 cycles. It's really informative, TTC is so full of unknowns it's really helped me deal with having long cycles (my last three were 37, 41 then 50 days). I'm looking into acupuncture to try and bring them down to a normal length.

Good luck!

madoldbird · 02/11/2007 18:52

Good evening ladies

Bucky Glad you are ok, and hey, if you get a BFP this month, we'll ALL be doing it!!!

hedgepig Ooh sounds good, when are you going to test?

terramum sorry, no pearls of wisdom to add, but to hear you are having a rough time. The high cervix does sound like it may be your body attempting ovulation again, as i think DG said.

Anyone planning on testing over the weekend?

Bucky2007 · 02/11/2007 19:06

All I want to say today is Digitalgirl WOW [Shock] you are the oracle and sound like a doctor. You go girl.

No for me on the OPKs again today. Tomorrow was the day last month CD14 so we will see although somehow I think I am going to have a 31CD-er again this month so it will be later and I will have run out of pee sticks.

If I do get a BFP this month it will be a miracle what with all the stress from the burglary, the amount of vino I have quaffed, my failure to take my Folic Acid due to dog distraction and lack of BDing because we are all loved up with Finn and talk about nothing else...'What is Mr Finn doing now?, Did Mr Finn poop today?, How did Finn walk on his lead today?, Does finn look sad? Did the dog walker leave finn a school note today? etc etc. Doesn't make for a very raunchy atmosphere.

Hi CBCB nice to see you around.

O7MTW Where abouts do you live? My parents live near Cirencester so I am not from far from Bath originally either.

Welcome Terramum

Congratulations again Sweetkitty It's so exciting .

terramum I told you DG would help!

DG Yet again you amaze me with your depth of knowledge. If ever you need a career change don't worry about any official qualifications - you could be a TTC Life Coach!

Bucky I live on the outskirts of Bristol - classed as South Gloucestershire now. Was thinking of all the things that have taken your mind off TTC, especially Finn - I bet not obsessing helps, this could actually be your month, so long as you BD of course!

libralady · 02/11/2007 19:55

Evening ladies,
Just caught up with this thread. Just remembered something from another thread a while ago which may help DG & Terramum
Have you thought of taking Agnus Castus to try and settle your cycle?
Apparently you can get it from somewhere like Holland and Barrett and take it daily to regulate your cycle although you can't take it when pregnant. Did think about trying it myself if I still had problems after a few months (took me over 3 years to get pg with DS after being told I didn't ovulate and my cycles all over the place) although this time I conceived in my 4th month of trying and am now 5+2.

Bucky2007 · 02/11/2007 20:37

Mmm I could kill for a big slice of treacle tart and ice cream mmm. Is that a symptom bit early at the mo.

I cricked my neck looking up at this tall bloke in my office today and tried to convince him that he had committed GBH by being so tall. Its still killing me, what with the toxoplasmosis (that I don't appear to now have), oven cleaner poisoning (that I did not die of) and now a pain in the neck its all gone a bit Pete Tong .

I am going to watch The Prestige on DVD now and then might try and seduce DP. Hmm I have big competition at the moment. It could be difficult!

Hello everyone,

Am feeling tonight. I am still having OV pains in my left side. Although my nips have gotten very sore as normal post OV my cervix is still high, open but... firm?! I have not a clue whats going on. I think I'm having issues poppin my egg either that or I have endo deposits on my left ovary that they missed on the scan because I have had a stitch like pain for 5 days now! It's getting me down a bit, well a lot. I'm sick of being in pain.

Sorry, Hi CBCB really pleased to see you on here x hope all is going well for you.

DG you really are becoming an expert. Where did you get your copy of "taking charge of your fertility" from? I ordered mine nearly 5 weeks ago...... and it ain't here!

Bucky I permenantly have neck ache this pixie is dating the BFG. DP's 6 ft 7" I LOVE IT
