I hope @littlebee1990 doesn't mind me starting a new thread as our old one was full...

Congratulations to @SK2970 who had just posted a positive test!

@Fran2020 sorry you are feeling that way! Yes, of course you still could be pregnant, only your AF can fully confirm you're out. As hard as it may be, testing this early is not worth it. Think about whats more important to you.. finding out a few days early that you're pregnant by doing tests before AF is due, or waiting until after AF is due for a more accurate result whilst saving yourself the awful disappointment of possible inaccurate early tests. We do ourselves no favours do we haha

Nellin · 24/06/2020 19:19

OMG! I did the same thing! hahaha testing on the 26th!

Nellin · 24/06/2020 19:22

@chrissagcat - OMG! I did the same thing! hahaha testing on the 26th!

Littlebee1990 · 24/06/2020 19:29

10DPO for me and I’m not going to pee on a stick until Sunday which will be 14DPO.. AF due Monday.

We’ve been drinking gin in the garden since 5PM and it’s safe to say I’m tipsy, feel bad for drinking in the TWW but we’re both working from home and tbh it’s really bloody hard. I know I should be grateful that we both can (and I am) but bloody hell its difficult! I’ll feel awful if I get a BFP but I just don’t feel like I’m going too.. cycle 3 and already feeling worried it’s never going to happen. Ridiculous.. I know x

@Nottherealslimshady this data is so helpful! Thank you x

mrswilso · 24/06/2020 19:31

@fran2020 - @dogmam is spot on and @Nottherealslimshady's comment is fab too!
I'm definitely gonna hold out longer after reading the numbers there, thanks slim 😘

mrswilso · 24/06/2020 19:36

@littlebee1990 don't feel bad! You definitely deserve it and I'm sure I read somewhere that little bean doesn't start using the placenta until 6ish weeks. It won't hurt! My little sis wasn't trying and didn't know she was pregnant until around 5/6 weeks and the first thing she said to me after showing me the tests was "oh God I hope the baby's okay" 🤣 she was living it up (a bit too hard to be honest!) a couple of weeks into the pregnancy but she is now 4 months and 2 weeks with my perfectly healthy little niece 🥰
She was totally honest with her GP when she went for the first appointment and the doc told her not to worry at all too.

Nottherealslimshady · 24/06/2020 19:48

@Littlebee1990 enjoy it, you deserve it. It'll happen for you, it'll happen for us all :)

1992EM · 24/06/2020 20:07

@FRAN2020 So sorry to hear that. I think we are maybe similar cycles and today would be the first day I could test using a sensitive test . I would wait until the day AF is due and test then. It will give you a few more days for the line to be darker if you are pregnant.

@dogsmam Thank you. I hope it is and you are so right. Any of my friends who have had children, it has happened so quickly and I think I had just hoped I would be the same. I think going back into work some days has helped this month too as I am not constantly symptom spotting. Don't get me wrong I still question things 😂.

It is crazy to see how unreliable the frer is until AF is due . They shouldn't really encourage you to test early if that is the case .

@littlebee1990 Enjoy and do not feel guilty. I know lots of people who have went on nights out without knowing they are pregnant. Working from home is hard going.

Footymum81 · 24/06/2020 20:29

Hi everyone, posted a couple of times on the old thread... well yesterday I caved and tested early and got the faintest whisper of a line... tested again today and it’s definitely got darker. Still very faint but AF not due till Friday. Been feeling queasy in the afternoons which is what prompted me to test.

Congrats to the recent BFPs x

1992EM · 24/06/2020 20:49

@Footymum81 Congratulations 💕

Nottherealslimshady · 24/06/2020 20:53

Congratulations @Footymum81!

nervousnoob · 24/06/2020 21:09
@nervousnoob I know the feeling, I just kept reminding myself that my best chance was by turning him on rather than just asking for his sperm. He needs to be into it for it to be effective so try mixing it up, have some fun, it's still sex it's meant to be fun remember :)
Thank you this is helpful. I don't know why do I tend to forget it in my ovulation days 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'll try harder next month.

@1992EM: yes I've explained to him how the window is so important and he has been receptive. But he doesn't understand the implications on the days it's supposed to matter 😶 And that's when I lose it 😣

@dogmam: not long TBH. just 3 months. Somehow we couldn't plan earlier due to financial reasons. But I also keep thinking im a bit on the heavier side. I'm overweight with 27.5 BMI and I'm 33 already. And I'm diagnosed with GAD. Hate the combination 😣

mrsgtobe97 · 24/06/2020 21:36

Hi 🙈 second cycle trying, will be testing around 3rd or 4th July. Unsure we managed to meet the egg tbh, we decided very late in my cycle to try this month but I did have Ewcm when we DTD, but it dried up the day after 🙄 god knows.. we shall see

dogmam · 24/06/2020 21:44

@littlebee1990 do not feel guilty! Infact.. walk into the kitchen and pour yourself another gin! You are soon going to have 9 month+ of no alcohol so enjoy it while you can! I had a good drink at the weekend and I'm going to do the same tomorrow Wine obviously as soon as a BFP arrives then I won't be touching any as I only really drink to get drunk which I wouldn't do whilst pregnant so wouldn't even have the odd glass with dinner.

@nervousnoob 3 months isn't a long time but it's hard to not get wrapped up in it all when it's something you want so much. I think you need to be a little kinder on yourself, instead of focusing on the negatives like weight and age (which 33 is nothing to worry about) try to be positive and it will happen. Just think, this time next year you can have your baby in your arms Star

1992EM · 24/06/2020 22:34

@nervousnoob I totally get it. I was like that last month and I got annoyed because my oh didn't get it and had no idea the amount of stress I put myself through. So this month I basically told him and we decided to have the more relaxed approach but still trying to dtd around expected ovulation. To be honest I think he was also feeling under pressure last month and I don't think I really got that either. My oh thinks it will just happen and if it doesn't then something is wrong. This month has been better after having that conversation and we both are taking each others emotions into consideration more. It is a steep learning curve.

Nottherealslimshady · 24/06/2020 23:58

AF just made a dramatic entrance! 🤣

1992EM · 24/06/2020 23:59

@nottherealslimshady I am so sorry AF has arrived. Hope July is your month 💕

Kalecat · 25/06/2020 01:02

Omg... can anyone else see these lines?! I edited them so you can see better. I'm only 8dpo & didn't even use FMU! I'm so happy 😭 but I don't wanna get my hopes up... will be buying a FRER ASAP!!

Footymum81 · 25/06/2020 05:45

Thanks @Nottherealslimshady and @1992EM
Also sorry to hear about AF arriving for you ‘Shady’ even when you expect it it’s a horrible feeling.

@Kalecat I can see the line on both of your pics - congratulations

1992EM we found the best approach was discussing which week was ‘bonk week’ during AF as dtd is off the table then for a few days and that way he knew roughly but there wasn’t the pressure of a particular day. We have a toddler and a teenager in the house too so opportunities are somewhat limited, especially during lockdown. I bribed my stepsister to take them for a walk this month and then when my mum came over for a ‘garden visit’ we both happened to need to pop back indoors at the same time 😉 I don’t think we always appreciate the pressure to ‘perform’ that the men feel

Tokyo29 · 25/06/2020 05:59

@dogmam She is 50% sweet angel and 50% total asshole. The 'sweet angel' part is mostly when she's asleep... She's still quite young and hasn't had any training yet so that task is filling up my days.

@Kalecat I'm new to reading tests but I definitely see a line! Smile

Littlebee1990 · 25/06/2020 06:05

@Nottherealslimshady I’m so sorry AF got you, sending all the baby dust for next month!

Littlebee1990 · 25/06/2020 06:07

Ladies am I going crazy? I woke up feeling sooooo rough after my gins (only had
3) and peed on a stick.. am I imagining this? 🙈
