I hope @littlebee1990 doesn't mind me starting a new thread as our old one was full...

Congratulations to @SK2970 who had just posted a positive test!

(Point me in the right direction if I've missed a new thread)

I’m glad I found you all again! Even more bfps!!

I’m now 12 dpo and staying strong so far this month at not testing. It makes me stressed and I’m pretty sure AF is on her way. I have a couple of tests just in case but they are sealed and wrapped up in a cupboard to minimise temptation!

sle0911 · 24/06/2020 09:12

Yay found you all again, thanks for the new thread! Not much to report here, I think im 12dpo but no idea really 🤷🏼‍♀️ if no AF by the weekend il test then, had period like pains and low back ache from last Friday which lasted a couple of days but seems to have stopped now, feeling a bit nauseous this morning so who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ good luck for every one testing soon, and congrats all the BFPs 🎉🎉

nervousnoob · 24/06/2020 09:36

I have a question which I know I can only ask safely here. I've never had sore boobs as a PMS symptom, so I don't really know what to expect when everyone says sore boobs is an early symptom :(

Bubblegum20 · 24/06/2020 09:42

@Littlebee1990 @Fran2020 @hellobambinos that's so weird I've woke up at 5.30/6 for the last couple of mornings too! I'm still waiting for my other tests to arrive, so hopefully they will do soon, then fingers crossed I can hold out for testing again until tomorrow

Smushty14 · 24/06/2020 09:59

@msanne @BookishEm yay!!!! So pleased for you both!!!! 🎉

I'm holding off until tomorrow before testing again. What do you ladies think of the first response tests? Worth the money?

msanne · 24/06/2020 10:08

@Smushty14 - yes the FRER are 6.4mlu so I think are the most sensitive ones. However, I do find them a bit frustrating as you get a real obsession with line eyes - which is frustrating, to say the least. The CB digital ones are about 25ml I think so are not as sensitive (so you need to wait longer for your BFP).

@nervousnoob - please know that just because the internet says it is an early pregnancy symptom - it doesn't mean that it will happen to you!

My personal experience is the symptoms come and go. I feel totally normal one minute then all-out crappy the next. My experience of sore boobs has been intermittent. Sometimes it is a burning sensation in the nipples, other times it is like a sharp stabby pain (particularly on the side of the breasts for me). Your normal will also be different with each pregnancy! I felt nothing for my first two at all, and then symptom overload for my last one.

Hope that helps xoxo

Tokyo29 · 24/06/2020 10:49

Hmmmm - I just did a test and there was maybe the faintest of half lines? I think AF is due tomorrow or the next day but I haven't had the usual symptoms (cramping and bloating) and instead have a lower back ache. Buuuut I've also never really counted my cycle days AND we adopted a dog two weeks ago (very stressful)...

I am usually a moderately rational person but TTC is a real mindf**k and it's only cycle 1 Confused!

Massive congratulations to everyone who has a BFP so far!

cd24x · 24/06/2020 12:05

@BookishEm Congratulations!

@msanne Looking forward to hopefully seeing your digital result tomorrow!

@nervousnoob I had incredibly painful boobs last month between ovulation and AF, to the point I couldn't lie on my front in bed and had to wear a bra 24/7. Even the slightest brush against them was horrible. And we were not TTC at that point. So I wouldn't focus on that being a typical pregnancy symptom too much. Everyone is different!

12DPO for me and all my previous 'symptoms' have disappeared. I don't have any cramps or feeling sick. I'd like to say I'm still bloated but realistically I think the fullness of my stomach is due to lockdown weight gain Grin

Just waiting for AF to rear her head now. I've bought Femometer OPKs and a thermometer for next cycle so I can track properly.

Nottherealslimshady · 24/06/2020 12:13

Woke up this morning with the most horrendous lower back pain, what are the chances it's a pregnancy symptom? 🤣🤞

nervousnoob · 24/06/2020 12:54

Thanks for the clarifications about my question :) Well yeah then, I don't have sore boobs. Although I do have lower back pain but I should be attributing that to prolonged periods in the bed Netflixing during the weekend 😬😆

sle0911 · 24/06/2020 13:01

Guys does anyone have experience with co-ops own brand pregnancy test? I've just done one, had a random urge, and a faint pink line has come up but it seems way too far over to the left than it should be, I didn't notice is straight away as was looking more to the right but did notice after about 5 mins or so! Could this be a dodgy one?

24th June - 4th July Testing Buddies (thread 2)
Nottherealslimshady · 24/06/2020 13:09

@sle0911 that does look dodgy, the box should have a picture of what it should look like. I'd take another if I were you. Fingers crossed it's still a BFP

sle0911 · 24/06/2020 13:12

@Nottherealslimshady yeh the test line should be the same kind of distance as the control line if that makes sense 😂 I haven't got any more tests, gonna try my hardest to hold out and get some tomorrow instead of today! Thank you! X

mrswilso · 24/06/2020 13:42

Hi ladies
Back with TMI about my CM again 😂
Just wiped and it was a lot of creamy/lotiony but had the weirdest little clumps in it?? (Eeeeeew!) the clumps held their shape when I checked with my fingers too...like I couldn't smoosh them away...sorry if anyone's at their lunch right now haha 🤣
Is this a good sign?? I'm probably about 11dpo today and trying not to cave and test haha!

kate123cl · 24/06/2020 15:37

@mrswilso I had this yesterday too! Although was only 5DPO. Hopefully a good sign!

Whilstwewait · 24/06/2020 16:17

@HellloBambinos I dont think a test would show up that pink after the time limit if you weren't pregnant. Ive done loads of tests and not been pregnant and even after a day no pink line appears so i think you definitely are pregnant. Congrats

@sle0911 definitely looks dodgy a bit like the strip may have moved in the casing. Was there colour to it?

@mrswilso im having so much CM its thick and white and always seems to appear the same time of the day (not lotiony though too thick to be like body lotion) last month i didnt have any but i think previous months i may have done so im not looking too much into it. I have had creamy just before AF one month and other months been dry. Its a mindfield.

Im enjoying this beautiful weather. Im only 4dpo so nothing to symptom spot yet xx

sle0911 · 24/06/2020 16:41

@Whilstwewait yep the line was pink, going to class it as a dodgy one though and ignore it! May even try to hold out now till the weekend and then try again!

dogmam · 24/06/2020 17:18

Hi girls, sounds like some of you are going through a frustrating time with lots of uncertainty. It's so hard this process isn't it, nothing like you think it's going to be before you start trying.

@1992EM glad you're feeling more relaxed although it only takes one time of DTD to get pregnant so don't count yourself out! How much is not enough?

I really think testing early isn't worth the emotional hassle! Obviously easier said than done but ultimately waiting until the day of or after AF is due is the best time to test, I've just been reading through other threads where girls are testing so early and possibly thinking there's a faint line but then AF arrives when it's due and then it just unnecessary heartache, just for the sake of finding out a few days early. I know it's just so hard though isn't it Confused

@tokyo29 totally TTC unrelated but congrats on the doggy and good on you getting a rescue! We've had our current rescue dog a year this month and he was the best decision ever. Totally worth it and don't know what I'd do without him now, especially during lockdown!

How hot is it by the way, my god it's boiling and I'm in the North East so anyone in further down must be dying!!

1992EM · 24/06/2020 17:42

@dogmam Thank you . We dtd 4 or 5 times over what I think was ovulation but I am just guessing really as haven't been testing and have no ovulation symptoms. I just went by what it said on the internet for a 30 day cycle. Last month we dtd more or less every second day until I was definitely past ovulation. I then convinced myself I was pregnant and it made the whole experience very stressful. I am hoping the relaxed approach may work in our favour but we will have to wait and see next week. I have the tests ready and waiting if I need them 💕I am only about 8 dpo so very early days. I did CB test last month that went blue after the time limit . I checked it a few hours after and it was a line . I wasn't pregnant so I wouldn't overly trust looking at a test after the allocated time. It doesn't mean you won't be pregnant though , I would just retest. x

nervousnoob · 24/06/2020 18:05

It's really frustrating TTC. My husband is really supportive of my "planning" of DTD but honestly at times I judge myself. I wouldn't really like to be around someone like me who gets angry/ frustrated when my partner says he's "not feeling like it". I'm simply thrusting my mental pressure on to him. It's just this tiny window and in my ovulation window I get mad so quickly when he says no. I don't want to be this person 🥺🥺

1992EM · 24/06/2020 18:09

@nervousnoob I think a lot of the time partners maybe don't understand the necessity to do it at certain times. I know my oh didn't realise how little time you actually get to fall pregnant each month . Maybe try explaining to him and explain why you feel that way and the disappointment each month that it comes back negative. I know my oh has no idea how stressful it can be as I don't tell him all the details as I don't want him to stress . Then I think why should I go through it alone so this month I have been a lot more open and I think it has helped him to empathise more.

Nottherealslimshady · 24/06/2020 18:30

@nervousnoob I know the feeling, I just kept reminding myself that my best chance was by turning him on rather than just asking for his sperm. He needs to be into it for it to be effective so try mixing it up, have some fun, it's still sex it's meant to be fun remember :)

Fran2020 · 24/06/2020 18:54

Hey, how's everyone today? I had to stop working this morning because of my headache/ nausea/ sore eyes. I've been snoozing on the sofa most of the day.

My ICs are still not here but I got and took an FRER at about 1:45pm with my saved FMU (from 5:45am) and got a BFN, not even a squinter of a line! 😔 keeping the FMU in a container NOT in the fridge for 8 hours could've affected it.

I'm currently CD24/ 12DPO and my cycles range from 26-31 days. Do I still have hope? I have had so many symptoms (tried not to symptom spot this month though). I know some people don't get a BFP until after AF would be due or even days later. I'm feeling very disappointed as I really expected to see even a faint line on the test as they are so sensitive.

Thank you all xx

dogmam · 24/06/2020 18:55

@1992EM 4 or 5 times is more than enough, so try not to worry, although it's good that you're more chilled this month and haven't started using OPKs yet, I bet the majority of mothers don't use OPKs, it's probably just a very small percentage. I think they're great for knowing when you are ovulating, for people like you and also me who have no symptoms (I barley get AF symptoms) so can use that information in months to come and just to know your cycle but its very easy to obsess over them. I'm also 8DPO Smile

@nervousnoob it's difficult when you are really longing for a baby and wanting to do everything you possibly can to make it happen. I guess maybe that's the difference between 'actively trying' to get pregnant i.e planning when to dtd and just stopping contraception and waiting for it to happen. How long have you been TTC?

Nottherealslimshady · 24/06/2020 19:03

I've just been reading a web page about FRERs and it said this is the reliability. Its really low! Gonna try and not get my hopes up because I'm gaining weight like I would before AF but I haven't tested since 5 days before AF expected but I'm gonna try not to test before AFs late if theres a next month
