First time TTC - second cycle

I was wondering if anyone else is in the same position as me?
I’m 29, it’s my first time ttc and we started trying last month. I quickly become obsessed with symptom spotting and testing like a maniac but other than taking folic acid and using the clue app to track fertile window and ovulation we didn’t do anything extra.
It’s now my second month ttc and I want to give it a better shot this month! Today is my first day in my fertile window, I’ve got pre-seed lube, I’ve cut coffee down to 1-2 cups a day, I’m making a conscious effort to eat healthily and I’ve ordered vitamin d for me and wellman for Hubby.

I would love to speak to anyone else at the same point as me, or hear any tips and tricks for getting that beautiful BFP!!

@Sip123 yeah today. Looks like I spoke to soon as af has arrived after only 20 days 😥
Not sure whats going but guess I'll need to wait it out and see x

@Laurenemma13, oh no what a rollercoaster of a day. Would you cycle usually be that short

@Sip123 not really sure how to process things atm!
I was back and forward at the doctors as I was irregular. Sometimes I'd bleed for 21 days then have a day break and then go again.
Last month I had a 29day cycle, month before that 14 days, 2 months before that were about 33 days. They thought they had it sorted as there was a tampon stuck that they didn't detect even on scans for 5 months 🙈 They thought that had caused it but looks like it's still not sorted

@Laurenemma13 sorry to hear you have had such challenges, did they give you any other advice if it didn’t settle?

@Sip123 just now I'm waiting on a hysteroscopy and a laparoscopy but they have said to TTC and basically when ad isnt here to do it every 2nd day to give the best chance ... not ideal but I'll give it another month and see how it goes

@Sarah1253 I already have one but never felt like this with my first as I got pregnant straight away.

Now in my second month and I'm exactly like you! I will ovulate in 3 days, so you're definitely not alone! X

@frolicmum, I’ve no idea what’s going on have two different opk one Femometer which is showing at 10% at moment and clear blue which only opened pack today first two didn’t work and third showed low fertility, I think I’m due to ovulate around Friday so will see, are you using anything to track ovulation

@Sip123 I'm not using any ovulation sticks at the moment but am tracking my temperature.

As per clue app, I am due to ovulate in 2 days and my temperature has dropped slightly this morning (0.2 degrees). I believe me obsessing over it and stressing does things to my body that are unnatural unfortunately. Last time my AF came 7 days early which puts me under even more pressure or I put myself under pressure. It's stupid really.

We have sex every other day at the moment, I don't manage more with an 18 months old toddler at home 😅😂

@frolicmum it’s so hard isn’t it. You know stress doesn’t help but when you want something so bad how do you not!
I think ever other day is good goinng, we have no children but work very opposite hours and struggling with every other day.. I feel it’s loosing a lot of the romance to which isn’t either of our thoughts just in the bag of my mind I’m worrying if this will be our month rather than ‘enjoying the moment’

@Sip123 I think confused is the best word for it 😂
So af (if that's what it is) has already gone so really only 3 days, if that. Didn't think it was ovulation bleeding as it was just too heavy and even implantation bleeding. Also thought that would be too early!

@Laurenemma13 that’s really hard to tell. Have you done bbt or opk at all to give any guidance.
Welll according to my Femometer opk and clear blue opk I ovulated today. Came off af on Sunday and have had sex every other day since and an extra for good luck on ovulation day 🤣 now they joys of the 2ww knowing that I can’t stress!! Let’s hope second month lucky..

@Sip123 yeah no idea tbh 😂 I didn't do but or opks apart from a few sporadically. I've bought clearblue tests, pack of 20 and going to do one each day this month to track.

@Laurenemma13, thank you. I found out I ovulated a bit earlier than I thought but have done two months and same day both so has been useful to know, I found bbt and link matched.

@Sip123 yeah it's super useful to know and gives you a good idea now. I've read that so many people dont actually ovulate on day 14 or when an app guesses it so were missing it!

I've been lurking on this thread as an unregistered spectator haha for a couple of days thinking I wouldn't have a reason to join in yet but this morning has changed that!

We're in our first month of trying for baby no 1 and neither of us expected anything to happen for the first couple of cycles and so we've been really chilled this past week. Just starting the second week of waiting and I've had a very light bleed - I never get spotting or bleeding in between periods so this is brand new for me. AF not due until next Monday...

I'm going to see how it goes and then order a test in and take it on Sunday morning - I've got an exam on Saturday morning and don't fancy having a freak out (good or bad) just before it haha!!

@kittynoire welcome.. this sounds promising and exciting.. I hope you get a positive when you do test

@kittynoire I already have one and this sounds like me first time round!!! We didn't expect anything and I got pregnant in my first cycle!

@Sip123 Thank you - I have a feeling that it's going to be negative, I'm getting period like cramping now so I think AF may just be gearing up for an earlier visit! Plus I've read so many posts from people saying they just felt pregnant and knew and I honestly don't feel any different at all!

@frolicmum Ahhh so it does happen then!! If we've somehow pulled this off in the first cycle then my OH is going to feel absolutely robbed - I told him he'd have months of fun before anything happened

@kittynoire how many days are you past ovulation?

I need to try and the romance in the sex as I just feel like it’s the baby making process and it’s causing me loose the spark.. trying not to show it

@kittynoire welcome! That sounds promising though I get why you're oh would be disappointed. Mine was disappointed this first month with no bfp but did say he was looking forward to another month of trying!
@Sip123 how you doing? I get what you mean about the romance! I've tried to not tell Dh when I'm ovulating so it's not so mechanical and also bought some nice new things from love honey which went down a treat 😂🙈

OH is doing extra hours at the moment and we work opposite hours so it’s with 6.30 am or 10.30-11 pm 🤣🤣

@Sip123 I think I'm around 10dpo now but I've only used the Flo app to judge it so it could be totally off! I've been tracking my period for the last year as we were originally due to get married in Sept so I was tracking it to figure out if I needed to go back on the pill to stop it from falling on wedding date - I thought it would have had enough data by now to give me a good ovulation estimate so that's all I've gone off. But after going through my cycle data it seems my cycle can be anywhere from 31 to 36 days so I guess it's hard to predict - might have to try opks next month!

@Laurenemma13 Thanks for the welcome Luckily for him I think he hasn't got to worry about losing out on the trying process - I think we're out this month.

Had a very very slight bit of spotting last night (less than on Monday) so I thought there might still be a glimmer of hope but this morning it's heavier - still not a lot but as it's got heavier I think it's AF making her appearance a bit earlier than originally expected.
