5 DPO and symptom spotting like crazy :)

30andTTC1 · 05/06/2020 13:36

Im currently 5 dpo and my boobs have been killing me the last few days! I dont normally get sore breasts until a week before af, so this is really early for me.
I know its far too early to be symptom spotting, but I cant help it Grin
Anyone else 5dpo and having any symptoms?

Hey there - I’m 7dpo after O on day 53 (ffs COVID stress) and I’m doing the same. Telling myself how unlikely it is.
Got weirdly erect nipples all the time haha! Only The right one is sore though, and right boob has grown to the same size as left boob (left boob is the big sister usually). So weird, because before SF I usually get sore boobs but not weird nipples! Also tons and tons of white CM which I haven’t noticed before but could just be reading too far into it.
I have PCOS.

TheOrangeMonster · 05/06/2020 15:12

*AF not SF!

30andTTC1 · 05/06/2020 15:24

Hiya!
Ooh, 53days! I feel for you. Hopefully now lockdown is easing, so will your stress :)
Interesting that the smaller sister has caught up, has this happened before?
Ive been getting white/creamy CM too, which I always though CM was supposed to be very low/none after O. Hopefully a good sign for us both!
I fell asleep on the sofa at 9:30 last night, which I'm never tired that early. But I could barely keep my eyes open

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining!
@TheOrangeMonster I also have PCOS so can't pin point exactly when I ovulated, potentially 6 days ago but have been noticing a LOT of creamy white cm!
Anyone noticing any other symptoms Smile? - real or fantasy as I totally get it's quite early!!haha x

TheOrangeMonster · 05/06/2020 15:29

I was wondering if there was a link between the PM saying we could see our families and the very next day I O’d - freaky!
I’d heard that about CM too!
No, this is the first time I’ve noticed that they’ve become the same size - mind you, I don’t normally feel them quite as much as I have been doing this cycle, ha, DH thinks I’m going mad.
Fingers and toes and eyes crossed that this is going somewhere for us!

TheOrangeMonster · 05/06/2020 15:31

@ForeverHopeful67 I use OvuSense and it’s BRILLIANT, highly worth the money. They have a discount on at the minute.

30andTTC1 · 05/06/2020 15:37

Hopefully it is youre stress lifting and getting ready for baby making :D
I've had a look at OvuSense before, but couldnt really work it out tbh haha! From what I read, it only tells you once youve O'd not when. Is that right? I was also a bit worried it might be a bit of a mood killer after we'd DTD, then popped that in haha!!

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 05/06/2020 15:45

@30andTTC1 You wear it at night, not all the time, you put it in just before you go to sleep so unless you literally DTD and then instantaneously go to sleep without peeing or anything else it shouldn’t interfere with anything. I just do it in the bathroom before I get in bed - he doesn’t even see me.
It’s unlike any other fertility tracker in that from the second cycle of use it can predict one day before O that you’re going to, and then it will confirm afterwards. It has a proven 99% accuracy rate over hundreds of thousands of cycles of use too.
I sound like a blimmin advert for it but it’s literally just because it’s given me so much hope and empowerment - I thought I wasn’t ovulating at all because of PCOS. OPKs are just totally useless for me.
I forgot to mention that this morning I felt a weird spasm in the uterus area, like a muscle twitch but more internal. Nothing since though, no cramping or anything. It was probably nothing tbh.

Moominmiss · 05/06/2020 16:20

@TheOrangeMonster I’ve read about ovusense before.
I couldn’t see a discount on their site though?

The only thing that concerns me is what happens if you need to get up in the night to use the toilet? I do most nights, sometimes twice a night. Wouldn’t this affect its readings? I assume I’d have to remove it each time which I would think would skew any readings?

30andTTC1 · 05/06/2020 16:52

Thanks @TheOrangeMonster, if this isnt the month, I think I will invest in one. Your info was really helpful!

Hopefully your twitch was implantation? Fingers crossed it was since you are 7 dpo!

How close to af/after youre due have you all been testing? I keep trying to wait until due, but I'm finding my impatience hard to control each month!

30andTTC1 · 05/06/2020 16:56

@Moominmiss it looks as though the code CAHILL gets you 20% off at the moment.

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 05/06/2020 17:18

@Moominmiss the algorithm is designed to ignore any readings that are outside human body temperatures and it takes it every five minutes through the night and does an average, so there’s no worries about going to the loo! Also, it will correct for spikes if you had a fever, and also having a hot or cold bedroom won’t affect it. Very happy to start an OvuSense thread of that would be helpful.

On topic - @30andTTC1 I’ve been testing the day AF is due. I don’t want to know if one ends up being chemical. I’ve been asking DH to hide the tests! But I do go utterly insane in the TWW. Grin

TheOrangeMonster · 06/06/2020 16:26

On the symptom spotting bingo today ladies, we have weird tingly throat and stuffy nose, like I’m coming down with a cold.

I hasten to add that I have already had (tested) and fully recovered from Covid 9 weeks ago, so it isn’t that. Weird to pick up a cold when I haven’t been out of the house in days, in June, right?
Aaaaah I bet I’m just imagining things.
Any other symptoms appearing for you guys?

Moominmiss · 06/06/2020 17:00

@TheOrangeMonster a blocked nose was my first early symptom with each of my pregnancies that resulted in my children!

I’d wake each morning with a blocked nose, and sorry for tmi but when I tried to blow my nose it would have blood in it.

No symptoms for me here. I’ve been tracking my rhr with my Fitbit after reading a post about it, but not even seeing anything on that really. I just want it to be next week so I can think about testing!

TheOrangeMonster · 06/06/2020 19:01

Thanks @Moominmiss.
I’m trying so hard not to get my hopes up - the stuffy nose and the throat have almost disappeared now - it’s so weird, all of this morning up until mid afternoon it was like I was getting a cold, and now barely anything!
It feels like I’ve seen so many negatives I think if I ever do finally get a BFP I won’t believe it, though I know many people try for a lot longer than me!

DressingGownofDoom · 06/06/2020 19:08

Hello, I'll join you! I'm 7 dpo today and had a tiny tiny bit of spotting yesterday so I'm quite excited about my chances this month!
I also have thrush, which is less exciting Blush

claireb707 · 06/06/2020 19:15

I'm 3dpo today, cycle 10
No symptoms as yet

Niisa · 06/06/2020 19:21

Hi ladies! I'm also 5dpo and couldn't STAND eating my lunch today - I was very nauseous. Hopefully a good sign. CM was creamy today so not too sure. This is my 3rd cycle ttc #1 after an mmc in March

ApplePie86 · 06/06/2020 19:30

5DPO here and no AF symptoms yet! Not testing til AF is due or even later as don't want to get my hopes up!

TheOrangeMonster · 06/06/2020 20:42

@ApplePie86 that’s very sensible. Getting your hopes up sure makes it worse if it all comes to nothing.
I still manage to do it every time (2.5 years later) Blush @Niisa and @DressingGownofDoom fingers crossed for you!

30andTTC1 · 06/06/2020 22:32

@TheOrangeMonster you're not the only one with new (in my case probably not there!) symptoms today.
This evening I've had quite bad heart burn. I get it every now and again, but this isn't quite the same. Almost queezy instead of acidy. Probably me reading too much in to it though 😂
I've also been shattered again this evening. I've just crawled in to bed, barely making it through the evening!

30andTTC1 · 06/06/2020 22:34

Welcome to all you other lovely ladies! Sounds like we are all due a visit from af (well, hopefully not!) about the same time!
I'm going to try to hold out until af is due on 15th before testing.. let's see how that goes!

OP posts:
Niisa · 06/06/2020 22:37

@30andTTC1 I also have the CRAZIEST heartburn omgggg! Haven't had this since my miscarriage 😭😭

MrsLully · 06/06/2020 22:44

Hey ladies, can I join you? I'm currently 9 or 10 DPO and symptom spotting as well. Have a terrible tooth ache and I've been avoiding taking ibuprofen just in case, but arrrg. I tested because I wanted some sort of validation to my let's not take effective pain relieve journey and got a BFN, so probably I'm out this month anyway.
First time around I gave birth without pain relief, so I clearly must be a masochist.

TheOrangeMonster · 07/06/2020 09:53

I think I’m out again ladies, everything except the sore nipple has completely vanished, I don’t even feel like I normally do before my period any more. Kind of have this feeling I know I’m not pregnant again. Sad sorry to be a Debbie downer - having a bit of a miserable morning. I hope things are still looking up for you guys!
