5 DPO and symptom spotting like crazy :)

Im currently 5 dpo and my boobs have been killing me the last few days! I dont normally get sore breasts until a week before af, so this is really early for me.
I know its far too early to be symptom spotting, but I cant help it
Anyone else 5dpo and having any symptoms?

Can it last just a few seconds like 30 - 40? (Never having had it I have no idea)

At least I'm assuming that's what it was 😂😂

Oh my heartburn came and never went 😂 I drank gaviscon from the bottle 🙈😂

I never had sore boobs at all in my last pregnancy very strange lol

@MrsLully how are you feeling now ? Hopefully no sign of AF

I also just had EWCM but I though I ovulated 5/6 days ago now I'm confused 🙈😂

@Emlou26 hopefully this means something! I've not had too many cramps but noticed today my boobs are sore and I've never had that before? Do you have any other symptoms other than heartburn?

@Emlou26 I'm doing ok, thanks for asking. Still have an appetite and only felt a bit meh this morning when I was having breakfast, oh and a few smells have bothered me as well. Besides that all feels fairly normal to be honest.
Are you going to be waiting till the weekend to test?

I just posted this on another thread because I'm totally confused 😂I got a positive smiley on my CB digital ovulation test but a not so positive on my dip test same urine 🤔 this was a week ago. Now I have just notice EWCM do you think I got a false positive on the digital 🙈 I usually do get a blazing dark line on the dip tests but I never this month. Maybe I should just give up this cycle it's possible it's messed up due to to chemical pregnancy. I will probably still test at the weekend though 😂 x

Over the course of today all the classic AF symptoms have started: sore boobs, feeling irritable and depressed, bloating etc etc. She’ll be here on Friday, I’m now 90% sure.

@TheOrangeMonster I have just had a read thank you! I also had terrible bloating and cramps. Have you tried taking a test ?

@Emlou26 I’m not going to test until Friday, if AF doesn’t turn up. I feel like I’ve been round and round with this enough times to know when it ain’t gonna happen this cycle - this is what happens, I get al this stuff coming on about three days before.
I think I’m about due another visit (phone call) with the GP now, this is getting ridiculous.

@TheOrangeMonster I know it's hard 😞 I would defos contact them after this month if AF arrives. Surely they should be giving you something to try and help induce ovulation.

@Emlou26 I am ovulating. When I first went after 12 months they checked everything and said there was no problem, even though I have PCOS I am ovulating. Then my GP left and after 18 months I went back, the new one said because I was young I had age on my side and to go away and just keep at it! I was livid. Clearly in this case age is not on my side. We’ve been discussing it and we think it might be DH who needs to be checked out. He’s really nervous though, he’s been putting it off.

@TheOrangeMonster oh sorry I just thought with pcos you don't ovulate as often 🙈 sorry my mistake. If you are ovulating then yes I would maybe get your husband to go for a test. It happened to my friend she was given ivf and conceived 1st time.

@Emlou26 don’t worry! It’s a very common issue with PCOS women, I guess I’m actually lucky where that’s concerned. That sounds really reassuring about your friend.
It’s weird isn’t it, how we always assume it’s the woman, it’s ages before we even consider it might be the man! (Even me and DH!)

I know the women always assume it's them first @TheOrangeMonster ! And they feel awful. It's ok I don't mind a wee rant I have plenty myself 😂. And you are still in just now as well! Hopefully the next few days go quickly 😂

@Emlou26 the cbd detects oestrogen as well as lh the smiley will probably be due to the oestrogen surge and the lh surge wasn't detected in that urine. To get your surge you really need to be testing multiple times a day for the stripes.
I normally use the cbd first thing to get the smiley and then test every few hours with the stripes to get my lh surge

@claireb707 ah ok I see. I was testing 3 times a day with them 🙈. They never got any darker then I ran out of tests and gave up lol. Maybe I never actually ovulated x

This was as dark as they got.

Ye I defos think I am out this month, I think I am ovulating just now (a week late) pain in one side, bloating, EWCM. We have not been able to dtd this week 👎🏻 so I think I'll be onto next month! (Sigh) ☹️

From what i've read, CM can do all sorts of weird things post O if conception happened.
It is also possible for an OPK to show positive if you are actually pregnant! Some women actually use them as pregnancy tests instead as they can be cheaper! Its not a complete science, as some womens LH levels rise in pregnancy and others dont, as well as protein of HcG and LH can look similar to a test.

Im not going to use OPKs as a pregnancy test myself since it isnt as accurate, but can mean that you have actually conceived!
When is af due for you?

@30andTTC1 it was exactly a week ago today I got the solid smiley I would say I'm roughly 6dpo and would be due around the 18th. My cycles vary between 30-35 with ovulation usually around CD16-18. So I would expect my period about the 18th last period was 17th of May (chemical pregnancy). I was going to test on Sunday 10dpo but now I think my solid smiley was a false positive as it looked like I got a positive yesterday morning but a few hours later it was negative again. Only thing that made me re test was the EWCM and cramps 🙈 very confused and just feel deflated lol

Ovulation test is positive again darker than yesterday god knows what's going on 😂😂😂 I'll dtd tonight then just need to wait and see x

Could be your pcos causing a high LH reading? My sister had this when she was trying to conceive, which is how she found out she had pcos. She ended up using opks along with temping instead of relying completely on opk's. She now has 2 beautiful girls :)
