Agnus castus?!!!

Who here has taken agnus castus and actually had a positive outcome? I've been ttc baby number 2 doesn't look like it's happening anytime soon considering taking this as a last option , I just want my bfp! Please anything will help xx

Thanks @custardbear I've just ordered primrose oil tablets! I'll look into tincture, never heard of that!
I do need to up my exercise, my job keeps me pretty busy/stressed. So glad you got your DD

Ladies! No wonder my LP shortened taking these, I've just checked the pack and I was taking 2200mg dose a day🤯. I never even looked at the amount, just took one a day. I might look into the 400mg ones now as I did like the fact it delayed my ov by two days. It's gone bk to normal since stopping.
I'm hoping a lower dose will still delay my ov but keep my LP at 14 days. Will keep you posted for next month as ovulating tomorrow now. Hope everyone is well?!

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of using Agnus Castus for coming off the pill? I've done a bit of research online and generally it seems to be suggested as being helpful post pill, but a few sources say to leave it three months to see if your cycle regulates itself. I've been off for three months now, and while my first cycle was 30 days, second 37 and am now on CD27 of my third cycle, I'm either not ovulating, or I'm ovulating very late following a 3/4 day luteal phase.

Just wondering if anyone used Agnus Castus post-pill and what your experience was, or if you have any advice? I'm keen to get things going asap as would like to give us the best chance of catching in the next couple of months - we've been TTC since we had to postpone our wedding due to covid, but if it doesn't work out in the next few months we may have to have a rethink as wedding has been rebooked for September 2021 x

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks :) as I said to you before I really want to make sure I'm doing the right thing! At the moment it's a toss up between this £90 post-pill detox or giving Agnus Castus a try!

@custardbear hope you don't mind me asking as I'm looking at a tincture instead of the tablets - can you recall which you took and the daily dose?

To take this up until ovulation but what about the CQ10 ? What do you guys recommend or what have you guys done ?

@Donnat89 hi! I take it continuously but not sure if that's right or not?! I know you need to stop once you're pregnant so I wonder if it shouldn't be taken in the tww? Would be interested to hear others thoughts on this.

Me I did. Started taking 1st of month 400mg a day I believe and bfp 6 weeks later
Combined with pregnacare throughout first half of pregnancy

Did anyone find that this regulated/shortened their cycle? I'm on cd 44 with no sign of AF - longest cycle yet and need to do try something to sort it out.

@MintGreenLife - it was by A Vogel, I took the recommended dose which was something like 20 drops in water, but it says on the instructions

I've heard so many mixed reviews on AC but I love it and I have used on and off since I was 16 for awful PMS (I'm now 28). I fell pregnant with my son on my third cycle of trying while taking AC (I was only really taking it for PMS so I don't know if it helped). Sadly my son had Pataus and was born sleeping on the 29th of June. My mum is a doula and doesn't recommend taking it while pregnant but she told me it has been used to successfully treat infertility in women. I'm taking a b complex as well as AC and folic acid atm.
It's crazy how some people love and hate it. Just different body types I guess.

@notyetamumbuttrying just rereading this thread! I've finally given in to agnus castus and have just taken my first. 6 months off the pill and I seem to have only had one ovulatory cycle with a decent LP, can't workout for the life of me if I ovulated on the other cycles and had a super short lp, or if I just didn't ovulate at all, I suspect the later. Really hoping AC works for me as I'm getting very frustrated with my nonsense cycles now! x
