Agnus castus?!!!

Who here has taken agnus castus and actually had a positive outcome? I've been ttc baby number 2 doesn't look like it's happening anytime soon considering taking this as a last option , I just want my bfp! Please anything will help xx

We’re you taking it for long cycles? My cycles range from 32-35 days. How long have you been taking it?

Nope @MrscJan2018 for short ones! Mine sway between 24-26 days so wanted them at 26 so that I ovulate later. It's worked as didn't get my surge today but now freaking out I won't get it at all and wondering whether to stop?! I am new to it so started it a week before my period so it's been two a bit weeks now. I love it, it helped calm my pms symptoms down too. It's like a wonder drug if it helps long cycles too! Should it shorten yours then?

Hi @MrsCl19, I take it for long cycles I started it a few weeks ago and within less than 3weeks I ovulated, so I stopped taking it until AF showed again yesterday so just started taking it again. My cycles range anywhere between 32-80+ days. I take it with folic acid and vD.

@notyetamumbuttrying I’m sure someone earlier in the thread said they took it for long cycles, I’m fairly new to all this as well, I’ve got a 3 year old DS but fell pregnant with him fairly quickly, have been trying since he was 1 to conceive again but have had two miscarriages inbetween and I’m so desperate for my rainbow baby I’m willing to try anything at this point!

Hello, I took it first month TTC and was successful. Not sure if it was the Agnus cactus as I only took it about 1 week before ovulation and until bfp but don't think it can do any harm. It has good reviews online and is supposed to help lengthen luteal phase if that's an issue

Just to add I took 2 a day- 1 after breakfast and 1 after dinner

@Suki2020 hi, thank you so much for your response, if you don’t mind me asking how do you know when you’ve ovulated? I use CB advanced digital ovulation tests, would I just stop taking it after I get a positive on this? Also how long was your cycle this time? Sorry for all the questions 🙈

I took it when I didn't get my periods back for several months after stopping the pill. It may have been coincidence but they returned within 4 weeks of me starting it and I conceived the following cycle. I took pregnacare at the same time, although I think a different time of day as PP said. I think it's not recommended that you take it if you are pregnant so you should stop if you get a positive test. I may only have taken it during the first half of my cycle, I can't remember.

@MrscJan2018 I use OPK’s to let me know I’ve ovulated alongside temping and checking CM.

Is this a positive on the ovulation test , if it is then I can gladly say it's because of the agnus castus because before I don't even think I was ovulating at all after I discontinued the depo , it's been so hard for me to get pregnant , hope fully this month is my month ❤️❤️

Yep can see a line there @myajane it'll prob get darker again tomorrow. Will you test again then?

@myajane ovulation tests you may find get dark then go light again, mine went up and down but when you get a positive you know as it will be blazing dark.

Keep testing if you can try in the morning and afternoon as some people can miss their surge.

Do you know your cycles? Or are they a bit all over?

i started taking AC in May. Can I ask what your AF has been like since taking it? Mine was just so short and light. was just wondering if that is because of the agnes castus

@cleo20 hi! Yep mine was the same. Lighter by day 3, basically ended on day 5 when ordinarily I would at least get spotting. It's an amazing product isn't it!

Hi ladies, so I came on today...two days earlier than I should have. Now wondering if the Angus caused a short a lp as it's always 14 days, no matter when I ovulate. Now I'm here with a 12 days lp for the first time and unsure what to think?! I started taking it again today as I'm cd1 but now wondering whether to just stop?

@myajane that's interesting to know, as I thought it was supposed to delay AF for a couple days. I started taking it this month, just one tablet a day, but stopped when I ovulated

I took the tincture when I couldn't conceive after surgery and miscarriage - 14 cycles of failed TTC and took for a month, fell pregnant ! Unfortunately had another miscarriage but fell again the next month and now have an 11 year old daughter!
I really rate it!
Also high concentration of evening primrose oil (only take til ovulation though) I fell pregnant with that twice but had m/c ... my second baby was gym and new job I'm sure that helped me conceive - totally took my mind off ttc and also lost a little weight at gym which can really help with hormone levels

Thanks @Chlo2701 I delayed ovulation by two days and I assumed by luteal phase would stay the same but I came on early, strange. Ah well! Gonna try it again from cd1 until ov and see what next month brings!

The 14 cycles above is periods - not IVF
