Hi all,
I am 4DPO and today and yesterday I've had very strange CM, it's watery but with white clumps that are very stringy. Does anyone know what this means? I've never had this type of CM before. Been ttc DC3 for 18 months now. Thanks in advance!

I'm not really sure @MrsBlue1986. I have the same but cervix feels quite soft. Although when I looked it up, it's hard to tell if it's either, because I never felt it before now. Hard to feel too because mines quite high. And I am 5ft 11. Haha. We're funny aren't we. I have quite thin white cm too. X

MrsBlue1986 · 26/04/2020 16:35

@lag1986 haha im the same height, i know what you mean!! To be honest, whenever i check my cervix, its always high, or so i think. it doesnt ever seem to go low!? But the last few cycles, my cervix area has always been generally quite dry, its only this month where each day is consistently wet or with some white cm. I dont kbow what is considered to be normal..... xx

LAG1986 · 26/04/2020 16:45

@MrsBlue1986 mine also. Always wet white cm. Last week I had tummy cramps about 5dpo. Never noticed this before. Been trying 3 months now. Cant remember what happened with my 1st 2 kids, was 6 years ago now, and I fell straight away. X

LAG1986 · 26/04/2020 16:50

This is what I found on Google @MrsBlue1986...... After you become pregnant, you might notice an increase in your usualdischarge(called leukorrhea), thanks to more estrogen in your system and an increase in blood flow. This normalearly pregnancy dischargeis thin, milky white and has a mild smell. And, really, you can have it any time duringpregnancy.

MrsBlue1986 · 26/04/2020 17:00

@lag1986 oooh! Wonder how much of it is needed to define thin and milky white. Haha. This sounds gross but... I only get the white bit if my finger is touching around the cervix area - really far up. Othereise the walls are just wetter than normal.
Sound familiar,? X what DPO are you?

Rebs1994 · 26/04/2020 17:02

My first birth was a forceps delivery and since then my cervix has never been the same - even my last smear they sent me off for further tests as it was looking abnormal. Since the birth, one half is soft and the other is harder, so I've given up looking at my cervix for indication for anything! Although having said that, today is the first day where it's been really low in the tww, however all my googling says that a low cervix is not a good thing! 🤷‍♀️

Yes @MrsBlue 1986. Same. Wet and after touching my cervix have white cm in my nails. Like a hand lotion texture. Haha oh dear.
@Rebs1994 yeah. I dint really know what I'm meant to be feeling in terms of soft. Or how high. Suppose I should just keep checking so I know changes. I bought an early test. Bit anxious about doing it. But suppose I will have more of an idea if I'm pg or now. X

MrsBlue1986 · 26/04/2020 17:12

@lag1986 Yes, exactly the same as me haha. I didnt know if that was just normal though??? ahh man, I just caved and did a test at 7DPO. Did one of those "4 day early extra sensitive ones" which i bought on zoom baby, but it came back neg. Dont know why i do it to myself Sad xx

LAG1986 · 26/04/2020 17:15

@MrsBlue1986 I did a normal one this morning Hmm dont know what I was expecting to see. And of course, it was negative. Bought some 6 days early ones today. I'm due af thursday, so will do it in morning. Nervous lol. X

MrsBlue1986 · 26/04/2020 17:25

@lag1986 ahh let us know tomorrow how you get on! Im due next Sunday, so maybe its too early for me, but ive heard of women getting positives at 6/7 dpo !! Xx

LAG1986 · 26/04/2020 17:28

@MrsBlue1986 definetly. Will test before I go to work. Never done an early test before. Didnt know they existed till the other day. Think my partner thinks I've gone mad. Haha. Fingers crossed all these signs mean something. X

MrsBlue1986 · 26/04/2020 17:32

@lag1986. Ive just made a new thread with this question on, but thought id ask you too!

I have been trying to conceive for 3 months now, and i have a question ive not been able to figure out!

How to tell if your cervix is open / closed!?

I know if it is soft/hard, or high/low but that's about it.

Whenever i feel the tip of my cervix with my finger it always feels the same. I can't feel any hole, and sure wouldn't be able to feel a hole with one little finger!?

Any advice ?? Xx

LAG1986 · 26/04/2020 17:37

@MrsBlue1986 I can feel my cervix. It's quite high. Need my middle finger to feel it. Quite soft. I can feel like an indent, but not a hole as such. Very moist white cm. And I'm not sure if you can call it hard or soft. Feels quite soft when pressing it, but not sure what im feeling for. What are yours like? X also 3rd month trying. X

MrsBlue1986 · 26/04/2020 17:42

@lag1986 yeah Im a little confused too. 1DPO-6DPO the cervix was very soft to touch, mushy feeling and felt wet inside vagina walls etc. Today at 7PO, still wet inside, but the cervix feels slightly firmer and more like a round plum. !?

At 4DPO i got thick white CM, but less since then, more just wet inside.

Guessing by your username, you are 33/34 also?
Im 33 now, 34 in Aug, and i feel worried that so many other friends have had kids straight away in their late twenties, and im late in the game... 3rd month trying too. I know it can take couples months and months to eventually get pregnant. I guess im more anxious as you never know if there is something 'wrong'

Definitely being over sensitive there haha x

MrsBlue1986 · 26/04/2020 17:47

@LAG1986

Just found this from googling!

In early pregnancy, your cervix will become soft and high in your vagina. This is one of the first things that happens after fertilization. Your cervix will then harden but stay high. (Healthline.com)

LAG1986 · 26/04/2020 17:48

@MrsBlue1986 I'm 33, 34 in October. I'm trying for baby number 3. Was straight away with my other 2, so this is new to me. Dont know why I was so naive to think it would be the same. I've recently stopped smoking, taking folic acid and dieting. Trying everything possible. Even bought my partner some vitamins haha. Bless him. He willing to try anything. We have children with other people. This is our 1st together. X

LAG1986 · 26/04/2020 17:52

@MrsBlue1986 are you periods regular? I stopped my pill 3 months ago and they're dead on time and days apart. So I'm not worrying about that yet. Just want to do it now. Some healthy couples still take 12-24 months to fall pregnant. X

MrsBlue1986 · 26/04/2020 17:56

Yeh ive been taking folic acid, although tbf, not every day. Dont know if that matters or not...ive just missed the odd day or so here and there.

My husband thinks im crackers buying so many pregnancy tests haha. He keeps telling me to just chill, and not stress about it as worrying isnt going to help. He has a point.. but I cant help it Grin haha x

MrsBlue1986 · 26/04/2020 17:58

@LAG1986 ah that's funny you mentioned about the pill, I came off the Cerazette pill early Jan, and since then each cycle of the 3 months hss been pretty regular, 29, 27, 28 days. I would say that is regular!? X

LAG1986 · 26/04/2020 18:02

@MrsBlue1986 I was on the same type of pill. Yeah. I even bought my partner some fertility vitamin sachets hahaha. Sure he thinks I've also lost the plot. I take my folic acid when I remember too. Only just started taking though, because I read that it can help. My partner says the most perfect thing.... " You cant rush ultimate perfection" Grin my god I love him. Our own baby together would be the icing on the cake. X

MrsBlue1986 · 26/04/2020 18:04

@lag1986 haha that's funny. Men do have a point in a weird way haha. I didnt know whether to buy those male fertitilty tests, ive seen online to check how fertile a man is.. dunno if its a load of b though ? X

LAG1986 · 26/04/2020 18:07

@MrsBlue1986.... funny you should mention them. I bought him one of them from superdrug today too. Hahaha. So bloody hilarious. Grin. It was reduced from £18 to £1.70 because of short date on it. This is so funny. We are so alike. Haha.

MrsBlue1986 · 26/04/2020 18:08

@lag1986 wow, what a bargain!! Haha. Has he "tried" them yet!? Xx

LAG1986 · 26/04/2020 18:11

@MrsBlue1986 not yet. Only got it today, so will try it in the week. Haha. He was mortified at the cup. Haha. Vitamin sachets I got him were £3.50 down from £35. So were a bargain too! It was almost like they were meant to be bought by me. X

MrsBlue1986 · 26/04/2020 18:15

@lag1986 haha he was probably wondering what on earth to do with the small cup! Haaa! Yeh, bet he loved your little presents today haha. Be interesting to see how you get on with those..curious! X
