Hi all,

Now in my TWW. We have been trying for DC #2 since October 19 and I had a chemical early March.

I usually use Clearblue Dig Ovulation tests but this month I just used cheapie OPK's.

Fingers and toes crossed 🤞🏻

Would love you hear all of your TTC stories.

Hi guus, I would like to join this thread as you all seen very nice and going through the same thing I am. My husband and I (both 29 this year) are trying for our first baby, we've been trying since January after I had my mirena coil removed after eight years. We assumed it would be easy and would conceive quickly alas, it appears not. I made the error of thinking every twinge, every stomach ache or sore body parts meant I was pregnant and gave been sorely disappointed every time my period has come. I've got myself het up, convinced we can't conceive and I'm actually infertile and then I have to have a word with myself and realise I'm panicking too early and we've got to give it time. But I'm sure a few can relate! Once that switch is flipped, there's no switching it off. All I can see are babies everywhere! Sorry for the essay, I don't have many others I can talk to about it!

Nannon145 · 29/04/2020 22:09

@vikki414 that’s ok - keep me updated with how it goes!!!

@EmmaA91 completely understand where you’re coming from. This is only me second cycle trying and I had the same mind frame! It’s just scary isn’t it and the 2WW and then getting your period is the worst feeling. Don’t worry, every woman feels the same. Have you tried using ovulation testing strips to track you ovulation? I started doing this this cycle and it helps give you an idea of when you are ovulating. For example, the app I had told me I would ovulate on day 14 and I actually ovulate on day 18/19 so if you haven’t got something like that, you could be baby dancing on completely the wrong days!!! Just a thought. But even if you are using these, I think every woman is different and it’s completely normal for it to take time so don’t worry. Just try and stay as calm as you can and it will happen - that’s at least what I keep telling myself lol!

I see the same kind of line as yesterday. I think it's just the indent I'm looking at Confused way TMI but I get these hormonal spots on the inside of my thighs each month around when AF starts and I can see one brewing so I think I'm out.

Jaylou7 · 30/04/2020 08:32

From personal experience I have never seen a line like this on a FR that’s an indent ? Fingers crossed xx

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 30/04/2020 08:41

So pleased for everyone that has had a BFP this month. I’m going to have a moan though BlushSo fed up. I’m a day late but just got another BFN with fmu using a CB. It’s so emotionally draining. I’m struggling with dealing with DS who resembles Velcro and everything that is coming with lockdown and the emotional rollercoaster of this too. Sorry for whinge

Jaylou7 · 30/04/2020 08:48

Oh hun moan away if it makes you feel better. My ds is also glued to me it’s tough I feel you. Just wondering have you done a first response as they are less sensitive. My bfp didn’t show on digital first took a few days but first response did x

Nannon145 · 30/04/2020 09:40

I’ve done another test this morning and it still very light. I don’t think it has darkened at all. What does everyone else think?
This was definitely within the 5 minutes though today.
I’m hopefully getting some one step early pregnancy strips getting delivered today too so I have saved my urine in the bathroom (disgusting I know) so I can test with them if they arrive soon.

Nannon145 · 30/04/2020 10:37

@lostfrequencies TMI but my brown discharge became heavier this morning and it has now started to turn dark red so I really think it’s my period. 😫 just wondered what your bleeding was like with your 1st because I’m so confused as to why I’m getting the faint lines on the pregnancy tests

vikki414 · 30/04/2020 10:41

@Nannon145 yea will definitely update fingers crossed for you too 🤞 xxxx

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 30/04/2020 11:00

@Jaylou7 I used a FR a few days ago and that was negative too so I’m guessing I’m just late this month.

lostfrequencies · 30/04/2020 11:17

@nannon145 I think mine was brownish discharge like you've described, there wasn't lots of it but it was worrying enough. Have you got lots or is it only when you wipe?

Nannon145 · 30/04/2020 11:17

It’s only when I wipe but it is turning red now 💔 not looking good is it 😫

Nannon145 · 30/04/2020 13:50

I’m just taking it now as this is my 1st day of my period. I’m forgetting the pregnancy tests I’ve taken and I will 100% not be testing early next month because I would hate for the same thing to happen again. I will only test from now on if I am 1 day late for my period - and that is a promise. No more POAS addict because it has been too heartbreaking this month & if I hadn’t have done it, I wouldn’t of even known about them positive pregnancy tests.
If, by a miracle, I stop bleeding in the next day or 2 then I will test to make sure I’m definitely not pregnant but I just can’t see that happening.
So here’s to next month, fingers crossed that May is my lucky month. It is my birthday right around where my ovulation date should fall so that would be a perfect birthday present for me 🤞🏻

Jaylou7 · 30/04/2020 14:12

I wish you all the luck in the world for your next cycle. Sounds like you have got your head in a strong position. On to the next month! 💕

mia22221 · 30/04/2020 15:06

@Jaylou7 congratulations I'm so happy for you! Thought id come back on nearly at my 2 week wait and was so happy to see your results all my prayers are with u ❤️❤️❤️

Jaylou7 · 30/04/2020 16:01

Thank you so much @mia22221 how lovely of you 💕🙏

nlm82 · 30/04/2020 16:20

I still have 10 days before I can text and I can't think of anything else, not sure I'll cope with this much longer if it's negative Sad

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 30/04/2020 17:05

@Nannon145 fingers crossed you get a lovely birthday present next month

nlm82 · 30/04/2020 18:17

How early/dpo do people test?

DontStandSoClose · 30/04/2020 19:48

I’ve decided to rejoin this group, I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago but it doesn’t look like it’s worked out, I’m only just 6 weeks though so it could be worse. We were only on the first month of trying so I shouldn’t be too down hearted, just a little annoying now as I have no idea when I’m going to be fertile and don’t have the time or energy to have sex all month long (we have a 4 and 2 year old already). I’ve never had to monitor or measure anything as I’ve literally just had sex around ovulation and fallen pregnant. I’m not convinced it’ll be so easy this month now, I really don’t want to get sucked into obsessing over it, that’s never been my/our approach, but equally we don’t have the energy for sex every other day lol! I’ve no idea when I’m meant to test negative for this pregnancy too, it was still blindingly positive yesterday.

@nlm82 I wait for my period to not show up, I understand why people can’t wait but it isn’t conclusive either way testing at 7dpo and getting a negative test.

Nannon145 · 30/04/2020 20:54

@nlm82 if I were you, I’d wait until you have missed your period. Sometimes you can get that positive beforehand and then go through a chemical pregnancy and it’s horrible. If you can, I’d wait if I were you. I wish I had before I went through this.

@DontStandSoClose I’m sorry to hear this, I really am. Maybe you could use OPK strips just for the first month or 2 just so you can really understand when your ovulation day is so you can focus baby dancing around that day?

incywincyspiders · 30/04/2020 21:29

@DontStandSoClose ahh no lovely :( I'm so so sorry! have you thought about tracking your ovulation? I used the cheapy ovulation tests last month and although I didn't conceive last month, it made easier to know when to put the effort into sex etc. I would recommend it. Yes it's frustrating to keep up testing everyday but at least you will know exactly when you ovulate!

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 30/04/2020 21:35

Which ovulation tests do people recommend?

DontStandSoClose · 30/04/2020 22:24

Annoyingly I know pretty much exactly when I ovulate normally (day 11) I get pains on one side and have done for years. It’s never gone to a second month of actually trying for a baby so it’s a bit odd talking about tracking this month for next month etc.

I contemplated ordering some cheap test strips off amazon and said to my husband earlier and he looked at me like do we really need that? Generally we don’t but I am tempted now. We have been relaxed before and only actually had sex a couple of times around the right time and it’s worked, I would just carry on like this but I don’t actually know when the right time is argh!!
