Not to be depressing but is anyone finding it hard to be joking yet another TTC bus. Finding it particularly hard this time.

This is my second time TTC as we already have one but she was born after only 2 months TTC. Now with being at home all day with a 3 year old for the first time in 18 months as she’s normally at pre-school.

The stress of trying to get pregnant and a fiancé who is a key worker and not really around much, I’m feeling even more stressed and hopeful this month. It seems to be the only positive hopeful thing on the horizon at the moment, and I’m desperate to have a little bump again and dig out the maternity clothes again!

Anyone else finding this month harder than others? Sorry for the moan

MrsEmilyB · 17/04/2020 12:45

Had another BFN today at 10dpo 😭 so I think I'll be joining you guys on the May bus! TTC #1, cycle 2

Any tips for more luck? I bbt and use OPK so know I ovulated and we BD at the right time!

Newbie0818 · 17/04/2020 13:18

I definitely understand that worried feeling @Dixie17 I’ve always worried that i would be infertile, I don’t know why. And now each month it feels like it’s becoming a reality :/ chin up though, that’s all we can do.

I completely feel you @NemoBear7. I always thought I’d get pregnant as soon as I missed a pill, so now that I’ve been off it for so many months and still nothing... how silly I was! Lots of my friends have got pregnant by accident too, or so they say... it’s a bit of a slap in the face.

And that advert is horrible! 96 seconds my a**!

NemoBear7 · 17/04/2020 13:33

Yeah, you’re so right. @ Newbie0818 That ebay advert always makes me feel for woman who are infertile. It must make them cry whenever it comes on.

WildButterfly · 17/04/2020 13:38

Hey everyone, I'm joining too. Not desperately TCC, but as I'm 36, it just felt like maybe this slight break in my professional career (was in the process of applying to new jobs), and having removed my implant about a month ago, came as signs that maybe it's time to give it a try. Have a DD from a previous relationship who's now 19! CD4 for me, not really tracking ovulation apart from using Flo's predictions so far.

Katbaby · 17/04/2020 15:44

I'd like to join! Think I'm on the May bus as af is threatening to arrive with full force I think I can sense her haha. After my last cycle lasted 116 days I'm hoping that my body is back to normal and I go back to my pre pill 28 day cycles 🤞 was only on the pill 18th months

Minster2012 · 17/04/2020 16:56

@NemoBear7 I’m similar but for slightly diff reasons, as with others we’ve had MMC in March so isolation would have been perfect for us to hide pregnancy, no one had noticed me not drinking going into it & yet going into it I was having a miscarriage with a 20 month old handful & my hubby rubs a construction & event toilet business so still working but most of our work is gone so he’s trying to keep our business going & super stressed & all I want to be is pregnant & have him home.

He has agreed TTC as we can’t do IVF again & it gives me a focus too (& it would be cheaper 😂) but no doubt that will be stressful too!!

NemoBear7 · 17/04/2020 17:19

Oh I’m sorry you’ve had to go through that @Minster2012 it makes my moan about still not being pregnant feel so silly and insignificant. Fingers crossed we get our wish for May conception. That would be perfect. New year new baby. 🤞🏻😄

Minster2012 · 17/04/2020 18:42

@NemoBear7 don’t be ridiculous, everyone has the same right to moan, I shouldn’t moan as I have a miracle DS whereas a lot of ppl don’t do it’s all the same honestly!! Mumsnet is our safe ranty place 😂😂

Skyla01 · 17/04/2020 19:06

@Katbaby 116 that must have been so frustrating! Was that your first post pill cycle? It took me 6 months for cycle to be regular again. It's hard when you just want to get on with ttc!

Welcome to everyone else! We all have our moans and reasons for being here. Fingers crossed the May bus is lucky for us!

Katbaby · 17/04/2020 19:14

Hey @Skyla01 yes first after pill! It's been a hard and expensive in tests 3 months. Ive done so many pregnancy tests it's driven me crazy! I naively assumed it would just drop back to normal straight away. Apologies if you've already said but how long have you been trying?

NemoBear7 · 17/04/2020 19:44

Thanks @Minster2012 you’re being so nice. Men just don’t understand in the same way.

NemoBear7 · 17/04/2020 19:56

Is anyone trying any new or different diets this month to help with conception? I’ve been eating a bit to much chocolate on a daily basis to help with both getting through the TWW and the isolation. Just interested to know if anyone is eating or not eating particular foods to help with the baby making? Thanks 😊

Adrianoska · 17/04/2020 20:40

Welcome to all the new girls 💖 hope all is well 😘
We all at different stages, ages and phases... But we all want the exact same thing so much 🤞❤️
It is my fith cycle of TTC. I am on cd7 today and in the fertile week. We have started the serious BD and I really pray it works this time. However, for some reason I have this overwhelming negative feeling that it is not going to happen again. When we started TTC I was so optimistic! I have two kids from my previous marriage... But I am 36 and I am starting to panic now really💖 much love to you all

myhappystreak · 17/04/2020 20:48

@Adrianoska do you have short cycles? I'm on CD8 and tonight is my first night BDing. I'm going to start OPKS tomorrow but according to Ovia I'm not ovulating for another week. I definitely missed the boat last month as we started trying late into my fertile week, so we are trying the SMEP plan this month and says to start on CD8.

X

popcorndiva · 17/04/2020 22:03

Think AF has finished so countdown to starting opk tests in 5 days. Does everyone do them in the afternoon?

popcorndiva · 17/04/2020 22:06

@NemoBear7 I have some grapefruit juice in but not opened it yet. It's meant to help the ewcm I think

NemoBear7 · 17/04/2020 22:17

@popcorndiva Mmm, interesting. I’ll give it a try. Might need to mix it with something as it might be a bit tangy on its own.

As for OPK I think you’re supposed to test between 11am and 3pm if I remember rightly.

jules5232 · 18/04/2020 00:47

My first bus! Trying for #1, CD11 and this is our second month seriously trying. Started using OPKs for the first time this week too, so well see how that goes. My AF was way late last month from the normal day to day being so thrown off. At least theres a lot of time for BDing this month!

Adrianoska · 18/04/2020 01:46

@myhappystreak my cycles are 25 days long, recently. All my life I was spot on 28...then I had a miscarriage 7 months ago, took a mini pill for two months after that... 23 /25 days! So annoying. I worry...

Skyla01 · 18/04/2020 10:15

@Katbaby over a year now... but still optimistic that each cycle could be the one! I hope your cycle will be much shorter now. It's so frustrating though I understand.

@myhappystreak smep is a great plan to cover all bases. Do you know when you usually ovulate? I don't ovulate until cd18 or so, feels like a long wait!

@NemoBear7 I just try to be healthy with my diet. And drinking raspberry leaf tea this month. Oh and I try and avoid caffeine.

Positivetime · 18/04/2020 10:42

Does anyone know whether a period of 3.5 days is normal? I’ve noticed mine are getting shorter over the years. Not sure if I need to worry. Last month my period lasted like 2 days.

NemoBear7 · 18/04/2020 11:13

Thanks @Skyla01 I’ll have to order some. Fingers crossed it help. Have been cutting down on caffeine too if you don’t count chocolate! 😋

@Positivetime I read something on one of the TTC apps that said 3-10 days counts as normal for AF. Don’t worry, shorter doesn’t mean anything bad.

Macaz20 · 18/04/2020 12:10

Can I join ☺️ AF arrived for me over night on CD30, normally a 28 day cycle so the little cow was teasing me this time 😂 #1 cycle 3. Here’s to May 💕💐

Positivetime · 18/04/2020 13:04

@NemoBear7 thank you! Feeling more positive today!
