I’m only taking folic acid. & gin!

Adrianoska · 12/04/2020 20:58

@Sausage1990, I had 28 days cycles all my life. Then 7 months ago I had mc (accidental pregnancy, we didn't TTC) and after that I took a mini pill for a month or so before realising that we both want a baby so much. So I stopped. My period webt to 28 days. Then I got pregnacare conception and my cycle went to 35 days! I was convinced I am pregnant. So I did some research and realised that many women suffered extended cycles from taking it. I took it for another month and the same long cycle happened. I stopped and moved on to proceive max and my cycle went down to 23 days! Wtf. This month I was taking pregnacare conception only some days and my cycle was 25 days. I bought more proceive max and I think I will drink that before ovulation and move to pregnacare after ovulation till af of BFP.

Good luck my lovely 🌸

Adrianoska · 12/04/2020 20:59

@Karanciri hello! 🌸Good luck for this month, hope wa all get lucky ♥️

Sausage1990 · 12/04/2020 21:16

Thank you @Adrianoska that's really helpful. I can't decide if I should stop taking pregnecare until after ovulation has happened or if I should continue... I'm on CD 16 with ovulation predicted next week. I don't know if it will make any difference now...

I've got so broody recently. Since we had out early loss at the beginning of January it's just made me want it so so so much more. I just want to help in any way I can. And long cycles are a pain because you have to wait so long between each cycle to try... Xx

Pregnecare conception is safe in pregnancy too so I know it won't go to waste as it can be taken once there's a bun in the oven I'm just not sure what to do for the rest of my cycle / future cycles...

Aggy106 · 12/04/2020 22:49

Hi everyone, can I hop on too? Waiting for AF which should have arrived yesterday but getting all the other symptoms and a bfn yesterday.

A bit about me: We’ve been trying to conceive number two since September. Since they returned in July my cycles are all over the place, the longest so far has been nearly 60 days. I’m still breastfeeding (my little one is nearly two 🤦‍♀️), I’m not convinced I’m ovulating every cycle, if at all. I’ve been using the clear blue opks and keep getting highs but rarely a peak. It’s interesting what others are saying about pregnacare because I’m taking it so wonder if that’s having an effect. It took nearly a year to conceive our first and two miscarriages in that time. I’m trying not to get too worked up about it and just go with it.

I joined the buses last time and it was really supportive, just need to get back into the acronyms again! Hope you’re all having a good long Easter weekend Flowers

MoonW · 13/04/2020 08:31

Just started a thread for advice but I’m so frustrated at myself!

Must have slept completely through my alarm and didn’t wake up at 6am to take my BBT, and only woke up naturally at 8:20 which resulted in a temp 0.2 higher than every other morning - so I have no idea whether to add it to the app/chart or not Confused

SS123456 · 13/04/2020 08:32

Looks like I'm joining you all on the May bus. I have no idea what is going on this cycle, I have just started my period 14 days after my last one ended! I was due to ovulate tomorrow 😔

Littlebump2018 · 13/04/2020 09:01

AF arrived right on time 😔 let's hope this month is better for us xxx

Cloudmtb · 13/04/2020 09:08

Hello May Bus! I am on Cycle day 5 and have pretty short cycles so will be testing at the start of May! Fingers crossed for a cycle that is not as short as last one (22 days!) - tracking ovulation with clear blue this month as a bit worried about LP.

Good luck to everyone this month!!!

Skyla01 · 13/04/2020 09:18

@Sausage1990 how long are your cycles normally? If I were you I'd maybe avoid something that could be making them longer? My cycles are 30-32 days and that feels long enough sometimes! It's really frustrating when you want something very badly, we have to trust that we are doing all we can and it will happen for us one day.

2020journey · 13/04/2020 09:29

I've been waiting for someone to start this as I was out of April about a week ago. Cycle 2 for us trying for number 1. I'll be expecting AF around 9th May, due to ovulate around 24/25th April.

HopefulRobertsons66202 · 13/04/2020 09:53

@2020journey same for me!!

Minster2012 · 13/04/2020 10:00

Argh so annoying thought my AF was starting yesterday (With spotting) so was hoping for full today so we could get on with things, today no sign 😕

Sausage1990 · 13/04/2020 16:13

@Skyla01 yeah linger cycles suck. Mine are usually better 32-35days but have been 38-44days recently. I definitely feel that. My cycles were long enough.

I've decided not to take anymore pregnecare conception for the rest of my cycle but I'll continue taking folic acid (I'll get some tomorrow)...

Yes I'm a true beliver that it will happen all in good time, just hard to have patience sometimes. I've seen 3 pregnancy announcements this Easter Bank Holiday weekend & another about a week ago, which makes me more impatient... Haha

Lily2020 · 13/04/2020 16:15

Hi ladies 👋🏼 AF just arrived for me so jumping on the May bus! Ordered some OPK tests & download fermometer app 🤞🏽🤞🏽 better luck this month!

BattenburgBerry · 13/04/2020 18:49

I’m coming off the pill this week, only 2 more days to go. I’m so nervous, I don’t know what to expect. I’ve been on the pill for 20 years so realise my periods may take a while to get back to normal. Is anyone else worried about the current pandemic, I’m hoping things will be back to normal by the end of the year.

serialplanner · 13/04/2020 20:14

@Aimy1 my period is due on 23rd April close to you so will see if it turns up! What cycle ttc is this for you? This is number 1 for me so that's why I have jumped on the May bus as v unlikely! Will follow your advice to try and wait until after period is late! Will you do it on the day or like 4/5 days late?

Aimy1 · 13/04/2020 20:31

@serialplanner this is my 4th month trying now. Started in december. I'm due in in around 10 days. I note all my symptoms and periods plus ovulation on an app called Ovia and fo far it has been bang on with my periods being due! I'll do the test the day after I'm due I think (I say this and I know next week I'll be buying one 😂) will this your first? X

serialplanner · 13/04/2020 20:40

@Aimy1 yes I will try and do the same and test on 24th April-longer if I can (if AF doesn't turn up!)

Yes this is the first time but been off the pill for a while so regular cycles.

Thanks re Ovia app I only use one called Period Tracker if anyone has any other suggestions especially if you have tried a few that would be greatSmile

I can see why it's so hard not to wait. I am totally consumed in my thoughts and very grateful for these forums! It helps I only have one test in the house until I crack and order moreGrin

serialplanner · 13/04/2020 20:43

@BattenburgBerry I am worried but then I think how long would we have to put things on hold? It might not happen straight away? Things could be better in 9 months time? Is there ever a good time? We are actually relaxed enough to have time to DTD lots? Etc.

I don't know if this sounds stupid but I was also so anxious about keeping it a secret as I am a big drinker so I like the idea of trying and not having to hide.

Aimy1 · 13/04/2020 20:44

@serialplanner It took me 6weeks to get my periods back and that stressed me out so much because every other time I've stopped my pill, my periods have come back straight away. I had post natal depression after my second child, 3 years ago but I still suffer with anxiety and have to fixate on something so I think of having a baby 24/7! I fell pregnant with my other 2 within 3 months of trying and that was without tracking anything. This time is totally different, I must spend about £50 a month on tests! But I've promised my other half I wont buy any or order them until my period is due this time! X

BattenburgBerry · 13/04/2020 20:55

@serialplanner I’ve been thinking that, I like the idea of hiding away while making a start. I’m worried that coming off the pill will make my skin flare up and come out in spots, so hiding away working from home for a few months suits me fine! I’m not expecting to conceive straight away but I’ve had to come off Meds for an autoimmune condition so I don’t really want to wait any longer.
Our plan is to just wait and see what happens, no pressure, no ovulation sticks, no science, just keeping relaxed and seeing what happens. Fingers crossed.

Littlebump2018 · 13/04/2020 22:15

Hi everyone! What ovulation tests can you recommend? I've been trying to work mine out with an app but no tests and as this is month 3 of TTC I think j I should try some :)

serialplanner · 13/04/2020 22:33

@Amiy1 that is stressful! Good on you for handling everything. Let's see how long we can last without testingStar

@BattenburgBerry sounds a good way to try and even better if you are okay if it's takes a month or twoSmile
