Thought I would start the May bus as looks like not been successful this month.

I am also 6dpo. Crazy times.

I am especially worried about my husband and his feelings now. He is almost certain that this month we scored. Poor thing, I don't want to see him being devastated 😔

@Newbie0818 me! Me and my partner are currently trying for our first. I am now 29 and spent 15 to 28 on the pill which I’m hoping hasn’t ruined my chances! Been TTC since October 2019.

@Minster2012 Oh I know! I would LOVE to just go into a shop without worrying right now and browse around not a care in the world! Also having to stick to more basic meals due to OH doing shopping. Bless him, he's getting a lot better but I am getting tired of thinking whether he would know where to find a certain item in the shop and whether it's essential enough that I can be bothered explaining 🤣

@Newbie0818 I have never been pregnant, never had a 'scare' that I might have been therefore never even taken a pregnancy test, all a new world to me!

@Adrianoska Thank you! Just getting a bit sick of being in confinement I think and the added anxiety of TWW. OH keeps suggesting I go on more walks to just get out of the house but the walks stress me out when there's people out due to having to think whether I am far enough away and whether I should cross the road. We are lucky to live in a small village where that doesn't happen too often but maybe I should take his advice and get out there with my audio book and relax a little!

@Adrianoska Sorry forgot to add, this is now our second cycle TTC. The first that I have really been tracking everything, although last month I did know when my ovulation was just didn't track CM or anything else and especially didn't give the whole TWW process a second thought. This month I am going crazy!

I'm 31 and TTC no. 2. First month of trying and I have to say I am losing the mental game already. My hopes and my legs are up!

I'm on CD15, but we've been DTD every day since CD8. I had wanted to follow SMEP but my husband was keen for every day. Not sure if he'll feel the same in a week's time

I can't get the CB OPK at the moment so using a different brand. I'm getting negatives across the board, but I do have EWCM.

Is anyone else DTD every day? I've read conflicting advice on whether it assists or not.

Sorry to bother everyone with all my panic.
So yesterday morning at around 7am I had my static smiley. In the afternoon I had some blood when I went for a wee. Then we didn’t get to DTD until 11.30pm
But before and after we did it I had the most intense ovulation pain. I may have mentioned earlier in the thread that I can’t remember the last Time I had ovulation pain. Which had been worrying me itself!
It’s strange how when you start ttc your body starts playing tricks with you!
I’m worried I may have missed ovulation. And if I had ovulated already before sex yesterday could we still get pregnant? I’m still planning on doing it tonight and tomorrow.

Please can I join in. I’m 29 came off the pill in Feb, still no period but ovulated Monday 20th April, have taken a first response today and it was negative and I’m not feeling very pregnant. So don’t think April is our month 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Positivetime It's possible for sperm to live for 3 days. It won't harm trying again but sperm has to be there before the egg is released

@Ltay2 totally with you on OH shopping I’ve given up, he will actually bankrupt us shopping I think!! He’s even said it himself!

@vintagemoo welcome!! I’ve had IVF before & we were told that “for the best quality sperm sample” before they needed DH’s Sperm we had to DTD consistently each 3 days. That a 3 day wait made prime swimmers. That’s why I’m now having a 3 day break before coming up to what might be the start of ovulation then we’ll DTD every other day just to make sure until i get a peak & see. So I def don’t think every day is necessary. But that’s just based on that.

@Positivetime ovulation pain can be perfectly normal try not to worry & yes if you ovulated before then you can still get pregnant, it doesn’t have to be the sperm waiting & you still don’t know for sure it could have been indigestion 😂try not to worry hun xxx

@Adrianoska aww I really hope this is your month. It's hard when you've DTD so much at the right time- I sometimes feel like how is it possible we aren't pregnant again!

@Positivetime I think the egg hangs around for 12-24 hours so sounds like you are all good. Plus sperm can live for up to 3, maybe 5 days too.

I met my husband almost a year ago. We were using condoms. About 7 or 8 months ago he didn't use it ONCE! Just once. It was roughly in the middle of my cycle. I was obviously not TTC so I got a bit worried. In the morning I took an after pill! And forgot all about it. When my period was late I tested and I was PREGNANT! We were shocked (he really happy). I was like wtf? Anyway... Sadly we lost it soon after. I went on the minipil but after one month we decided to TTC (the loss almost destroyed him). Now... 5 cycles later of sexing almost all the time :NOTHING. ... WHY??.

I meant to say over a year ago haha.

Welcome @Nfox2591 - I'm also 29 and going into cycle 2 of TTC! I ovulated on 14th April so only a week or so ahead of you. 9DPO is still pretty early, I'd test again at 12/13DPO! Keeping fingers crossed for you.

@Adrianoska It's so crazy isn't it! The amount of thought put into contraception and then when it comes to it chances of conception are so low, even on peak days!

Right. I just got a fairly dark opk. Cd42. LH rose before af is due? When do you guys think I should just bite the bullet and be brave enough to do a pg test?

Firstly @Minster2012 wow, you have a great friend to be a surrogate. You have had such a journey in life, I hope you will get your BFP soon! A 3 day wait should hopefully get you both well rested for FW 😉
It’s so frustrating that your entire life it’s drummed into you that if you have sex once you will get pregnant, but the reality is very different 😬 Fingers crossed for us all that this is our month!

Ooh thanks, that's good to know. I guess though that with IVF you don't have to worry about timing so much.

I just had a positive OPK, so DTD again... I hope I haven't scuppered my chances by being over keen eek.

@RobinRose @Minster2012 @Ltay2 Good afternoon all! Late to the party today. CD11 for me over here and OPK still showing "low" - but I'm still a week off my predicted OD so I'll keep checking! Homeopath appointment tonight for fertility and hormones - can't wait!!

@newbie0818 - me! Never even been a hint of pregnant. Didn't realise how stressful (and difficult) it is to actually GET pregnant! My mum always used to tell me if you ever had unprotected sex, even once, you'd have a bun in the oven 😂 and whilst I know that's not actually the case, I always assumed if you had sex on one of your fertile days you'd make a baby! I can't get my head around why that doesn't happen.

@Adrianoska I feel your pain! But it happened before and it will happen again! Maybe try having sex just once the whole cycle ;) (joking...!)

@Newbie0818 so as you say LH surges can happen at any time. But also many ladies get positive opk as their bfp so.... It's up to you! I have my fingers crossed for you either way!

@Ltay2 no idea as cycles all over the place since coming off the pill. Longest cycle was 46 days so that milestone would be on Saturday.

@MrsEmilyB me too! Who knew it would be such a rollercoaster ride.

I really can’t face disappointment again, so I’m going to keep doing opk’s until Saturday and if they stay positive And no af I’ll test then! God I can’t cope with this 😅
