@MrsEmilyB it’s the jeans I’m worried about. In the last 6 months I have lost 9.5kg, I bought new jeans to celebrate and they haven’t been showcased yet, at the rate I’m eating they won’t fit once the restrictions are lifted 😕

Minster2012 · 28/04/2020 13:31

@CoronaBaby that’s brilliant about the weight loss well done!! Don’t worry about genes or jeans...but I did nearly spit my lunch out laughing about you showcasing your undies about after lockdown... who else will you need showing them to??? 😂🤣

Skyla01 · 28/04/2020 13:42

@MoonW when is AF due? I don't know anything about temping but fingers crossed for you!

@Ltay2 I think weight is like so many ttc things- if you aren't bang on average or "normal" we worry either way!

@Runnergirl1 if you can afford it might be worth investing in a fancy tracking system, see how it goes. I've heard ovusense is good fit long / irregular cycles. And I know what you mean- a lot of ttc DTD isn't very glamourous...!

It's not even May yet and the thread is filling up fast! Hope to see lots of bfps over the coming weeks!

MrsLBear · 28/04/2020 13:49

@MoonW your chart looks very promising, wishing you the best of luck!! Let us know how you get on tomorrow.

@Adrianoska now that is very interesting, question...did you have to collect the bird poo? I'm not doing this btw I am just so intrigued haha. Never heard anything like it.

CoronaBaby · 28/04/2020 13:59

@Minster2012 it took a lot of effort but I was after leaving myself go a bit, I feel much happier in my own skin now, which was the main point of it.
I don’t think anyone would really want to see me in my undies, I tend to avoid the mirror myself 🤣
@Skyla01, this is my first time joining a thread, I used to just read and run but I’m so glad I found such a friendly thread to join!

Newbie0818 · 28/04/2020 14:05

Sorry to hear @selina37 but onwards and upwards 🌸

It’s so frustrating isn’t it @Runnergirl1 but this group is so helpful to air anything out.

Ooh @CoronaBaby exciting times! There’s also a load of lingerie on Amazon, I ordered a few bits which came super quick, and hubby very much appreciated it!

Haha @Adrianoska I love that! Tbh I’d try anything! My step mum is from Ethiopia and she is very into the cultural rituals too.
Sorry about the MC, and don’t worry about the nipples/boobs, mine hurt randomly on and off throughout my cycle. I think it’s just our bodies playing tricks on us. I totally get what you mean by the empty feeling, but you never know... there could be a tiny bean!

@MoonW How many dpo are you? I’m due on af (well my Flo app says I’m late, but my longest cycle will mean I’m late in 4 days...). I’ve also been checking my cervix and it’s high and creamy cm too.

Well im just hoping SOMETHING happens now ladies. I’m on CD42. Desperately trying not to symptom spot, which is going well seeing as I don’t actually have any symptoms! Or at least, none that I’m consciously aware of?

Juno231 · 28/04/2020 14:27

@newbie0818 your CM and CP sound promising, fingers crossed this is it!

FWIW I've got a BMI of 25.2 which puts me in the overweight category, but I don't think you'd ever guess that by looking at me. Am currently fastigiously using myfitnesspal though to lose a few pounds before I get a sticky bean. Anyone doing any core exercises in preparation? I keep thinking I should try to be as strong as possible ahead of child bearing but then the sofa beckons...

I'm on CD11 today and should be ovulating on CD13, but my resting heart rate is only 60, which is the lowest it's been in the last month. It should be rising for ovulation so I'm not sure what's going on. For comparison I was at 72 when I ovulated last month!

DTD on CD8 and CD10 - can't decide whether to skip today and go every other day to give my husband a break or if I should plough on so to speak lol. I'm conscious femometer tells me today has a 23.5% of conception so I don't want to waste that opportunity!

Newbie0818 · 28/04/2020 15:02

@juno123 thanks, that’s what I think but then af always arrives -.-

I’m not sure about exercise and heart rates etc but DTD every other day is definitely ok. We’ve only done it every 3 days this month as we’re technically taking a break from ttc (which hasn’t gone very well). I know what you mean about not wanting to miss an opportunity though, it’s hard not to want to cover all bases.

Skyla01 · 28/04/2020 15:30

@Juno231 you could always have a little break until you get peak opk and then get back on it? I'm sure you'll be getting your peak soon!

I have started doing some planks recently- exactly like you thinking about getting my core in shape! Took a lockdown to get round to doing it. I am trying 3min work outs just now, hoping to make it to 5 min one day.

Positivetime · 28/04/2020 16:44

Has anyone ever had bleeding on ovulation before? I’ve just randomly got some spotting when I went for a week and I’m mid cycle never happened to me before. Really scared

localbunny · 28/04/2020 16:51

@Minster2012 good to have a bus buddy! Which cycle of trying are you on?

Re: weight conversations, my BMI is actually too low which equally apparently isn't great for TTC. I think BMI can be pretty flawed, as some people are just naturally a bit curvier and some people are naturally a bit leaner. If you're eating well and moving your body, I wouldn't stress over it (and btw I'm a nutritionist Smile)

Ltay2 · 28/04/2020 16:55

@Positevibes I have had spotting around ovulation once. I have tracked ovulation for about 3 years now and only had it happen once but it is a known thing so I don't think you have anything to worry about?

NemoBear7 · 28/04/2020 17:19

@Skyla01 Wow! 3 minute planks on one go?!? That’s very impressive. Were you an athlete in another life?

I’ve just started doing the plank myself in the hope of toning up the old jelly belly as my 3 year old calls it. Can only do 45 secs at a time at the moment though! 😔

Skyla01 · 28/04/2020 18:32

@NemoBear7 the one I'm doing just now is plank - side plank - plank a minute each. Would not be able to do 3min non stop of just plank! It's fun to try new variations & videos- I find them on YouTube. 45sec is a really good start- plank is a hard exercise! As I said only started doing it regularly now I'm stuck in the house all the time. A silver lining to this- we might all be a bit fitter at the end!

Ltay2 · 28/04/2020 19:09

Does anyone have success with checking cervix positioning/firmness? I have no idea what I'm really checking for or if what I'm feeling is even my cervix 🤣 maybe I just have short fingers 🙈

Newbie0818 · 28/04/2020 19:45

@Ltay2 I do! Although apparently it’s really unreliable haha, which is what I’ve found. So if you reach on up in there, you’ll find a little round donut shaped thing With a slit in the middle. Supposedly it’s fairly low and feels like the chin usually, then for ovulation it goes right up and feels soft like the lips, and the slit will open to allow sperm in (soft, high, open, wet- show), and just before your period it will sink really low and be hard and open, like the feeling of an I ripe fruit/ tip of your nose. Supposedly if you conceive it should go soft and very closed, but I’ve read lots of different things. I found a helpful guide that I’ll post a link to if I can find it again 😁

It’s unreliable though as we all have different bodies and it can change position several times a day, which is what I’ve found! In the morning it’s always really high, sometimes so high I can’t even feel it, and in the evening it’s lower. I tend to go by how hard or soft it is.

@Juno231 you got me thinking about it earlier, and I’ve just checked and it’s high and super soft! That’s not happened before at this point in my cycle (cd42!). Now I’m paranoid haha.

Just beware, this one is VERY graphic and not for the squeamish... www.womenshealthmag.com/health/a19977125/cervix-pictures/

MoonW · 28/04/2020 20:06

@Newbie0818 thank you for sharing those links! @Ltay2 I also feel like I have absolutely no idea what I am feeling for 😂 but hopefully those graphic photos from the second link will help. I think DH would have something to say if that kit they’re recommending to take photos of your own cervix showed up in the post! That smear one did make me cringe a little though 😬

Ltay2 · 28/04/2020 20:09

@Newbie0818 Thanj you that was very helpful! Especially the graphic pictures haha. I now know what I can feel is my cervix but my fingers are just too short to feel anything in really detail, literally can just about touch with the very tip of my finger 🙈

NemoBear7 · 28/04/2020 20:23

@ Skyla01 Ah ok! I was a bit surprised by 3 minutes! Keep up the good work with a minute several times a day that’s really good.

My hope is that if I’m trying to tone my stomach I’m bound to end up pregnant and hide the good work! That’s the hope anyway! 🤞🏻

babyG123 · 28/04/2020 21:09

4dpo and got cramps and lower back pain.
😩 almost like AF is coming but 10 days early.

Skyla01 · 28/04/2020 21:30

@Ltay2 I use cervical position a little. It's useful to correlate with where I am in my cycle. High/ soft/ open = ovulation, then a few days later it is high / closed / firm. Once I get to the firm stage I know ovulation has passed and we can relax on dtd. It's kinda imprecise, and if you have short fingers probably quite difficult...!

@Newbie0818 a high cervix is promising! I try not to check as AF approaches as it's always low which make me lose hope.

@NemoBear7 that's the hope that we fall pregnant and it's all been for nothing!

Newbie0818 · 28/04/2020 21:40

No worries @MoonW and @Ltay2 ! They’re a bit gross but really helped me.

@skyla01 mine seems to be all over the place, though never usually soft, high and closed this close to af. God knows what my body is playing at now.

Ltay2 · 28/04/2020 21:40

@Skyla01 Thank you for the help! I definitely lost a little hope when I felt that mine was low but AF is upcoming so a little more reassured to know that that is fairly normal and not necessarily a bad sign about potential BFP. Still only early days, 5DPO so a while to go before testing anyway.

Newbie0818 · 28/04/2020 21:42

That’s promising @babyG123 🤞🏼Hope that’s a good sign for you! I had af cramps a week ago and she still hasn’t turned up 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just assumed late ovulation for something. My body is all over the place since coming off pill so I really don’t know anymore.
