Line eyes...

Hi everyone,

It's my first TWW and I think I'm just driving myself a bit crazy at the moment! My lovely grandma passed away on Friday after a short battle with an aggresive cancer and we thought we would have had more time with her...

Anyway, I am around 8dpo today, and thought I would take a HPT (thinking I could use some good news this month). It is not FMU (it is SMU) so I wasn't expecting anything this early but I got a really faint line within the 5 minutes.

It is crazy faint but I can see something there... took an FRER though from same sample and it was neg.

Question is.. can you see this or am I just too hopeful? Could it just be an evap?

This is that test from this morning now... nuch darker now its dried. faint positive or evap?

All of mine started out like that from around the same DPO.
I'm now 2 children up.

The cheap sticks are normally able to pick up the hormone at a lower level than the high street plastic cased branded ones.

Thanks for your reply. I did another cheap test this evening (with the current covid situation I want to know asap if I am pregnant) but it came back neg :/

Do you think there is a chance that some are more sensitive than others or my HCG is just too low this evening? Did you have positive and negative at this stage?

Hate to say this, but this happened to me and it was just a bad batch from two different batches also. I would say negative and just wait for your period. Sorry hun.

@safiyah2020 was that with wondfo??

It depends which ones you use I think. I'm sure I could see the lines better at midday but I think it was the lighting that helped.

Also, they do say evening wee will be most diluted.

First response should pick up closer to when your due on, as in the same week but make sure you get the early test and not the rapid response x

Think i just started spotting and very very crampy so I'd say I'm out. Also done with the wondfo for pregnacy test. Hope you have a lot better luck then me! Fingers crossed

So Af due today but no sign. Latest Wondfo has a line still - but no line on frer taken this morn .

A frer would be positive by now if you were pregnant and this was correct.

Bad batch, had this happen to me too.

@MrsPattenson what was the serial.number on your two batches out of curiosity??

Hi @JoyfulExpat thank you for your val uable insight.

My tests are from 3 different batches. I don't have the serial numbers to hand as not home at the moment.

I have heard of people who havent had BFP on FRER until 16-17 dpo so I don't think I am out yet. Also find it hard to believe that getting a line on tests from 3 different batches consistently over 6 days (when I previously got absolutely nothing) could be dismissed as BFN.

I guess I will have to wait and see if AF turns up but I don't understand the negative responses some people feel the need to write.

It's not negative responses, just don't want to get your hopes up that's all. When I've been pregnant frers have always shown before any others. Just wait 5 days and if no AF test again. That's the best way to be sure of a definite result.

And there's no pink to your line. It looks like there's is a line at the top and not at bottom so it's not a solid line. I don't get how you can think these are indications of a postive result.
