Line eyes...

Hi everyone,

It's my first TWW and I think I'm just driving myself a bit crazy at the moment! My lovely grandma passed away on Friday after a short battle with an aggresive cancer and we thought we would have had more time with her...

Anyway, I am around 8dpo today, and thought I would take a HPT (thinking I could use some good news this month). It is not FMU (it is SMU) so I wasn't expecting anything this early but I got a really faint line within the 5 minutes.

It is crazy faint but I can see something there... took an FRER though from same sample and it was neg.

Question is.. can you see this or am I just too hopeful? Could it just be an evap?

And there's no pink to your line. It looks like there's is a line at the top and not at bottom so it's not a solid line. I don't get how you can think these are indications of a postive result.

It's not negative responses, just don't want to get your hopes up that's all. When I've been pregnant frers have always shown before any others. Just wait 5 days and if no AF test again. That's the best way to be sure of a definite result.

Hi @JoyfulExpat thank you for your val uable insight.

My tests are from 3 different batches. I don't have the serial numbers to hand as not home at the moment.

I have heard of people who havent had BFP on FRER until 16-17 dpo so I don't think I am out yet. Also find it hard to believe that getting a line on tests from 3 different batches consistently over 6 days (when I previously got absolutely nothing) could be dismissed as BFN.

I guess I will have to wait and see if AF turns up but I don't understand the negative responses some people feel the need to write.

A frer would be positive by now if you were pregnant and this was correct.

Bad batch, had this happen to me too.

So Af due today but no sign. Latest Wondfo has a line still - but no line on frer taken this morn .

Think i just started spotting and very very crampy so I'd say I'm out. Also done with the wondfo for pregnacy test. Hope you have a lot better luck then me! Fingers crossed

It depends which ones you use I think. I'm sure I could see the lines better at midday but I think it was the lighting that helped.

Also, they do say evening wee will be most diluted.

First response should pick up closer to when your due on, as in the same week but make sure you get the early test and not the rapid response x

Hate to say this, but this happened to me and it was just a bad batch from two different batches also. I would say negative and just wait for your period. Sorry hun.

Thanks for your reply. I did another cheap test this evening (with the current covid situation I want to know asap if I am pregnant) but it came back neg :/

Do you think there is a chance that some are more sensitive than others or my HCG is just too low this evening? Did you have positive and negative at this stage?

All of mine started out like that from around the same DPO.
I'm now 2 children up.

The cheap sticks are normally able to pick up the hormone at a lower level than the high street plastic cased branded ones.

This is that test from this morning now... nuch darker now its dried. faint positive or evap?

I read that the wondfu are 25miu so it doesn't really detect pregnacy until at least 14 dpo. I did two this morn as I had teo different batches. I can see a shadow where the line is but then again that could be the chemical strip and I've just been staring at these things for was too long. I managed to get a pic of sunday and yesterday afternoons ones. They have a bit more colour in them in real life . The bottom one that a radioactive pee colour is sunday afternoons ( I had taken my prenatal just before the pic!) . My temp is still well up this morn . I'm either 12-13 dpo and usually on 13 af shows at some stage. Temps usually drop a day or two before so dont know what to be thinking. Nipples still sensitive although not as much as sundays painfest.

So took another test FMU and got this. More visable than previous ones. Appeared within the 5 mins but got darker at about 15 mins... I am still so unsure what to think as they don't really seem to be progressing.

@MrsPattenson I did another test there at lunch ( smu) and got another vvvvv faint line, fainter then the one on sunday so defo wont be able to get it on the Camara. Of my temps are still up tomorrow and af hasn't shown then I might try a frer. I'm reluctant to use it also ! Had some af like cramps this morn for about ten minutes but nothing since .

I tried a FRER yesterday but nothing on it. Dont want to waste my last one so going to wait until the weekend before I use it. Still cramping and (maybe TMI) lots of thick creamy CM for last few days. No spotting though, but I know not everyone experiences this with implantation.

Getting a bit worried now as I don't want to get coronavirus but I work with children and they haven't yet closed schools in UK :/

I used these and never had a line! I do think frer are the most reliable. I actually used some cheap babymad tests this time which were pretty good and they had a faint line at around 8dpo and used a frer at 9dpo and was a blazing yes! I hope you get your BFP! Xx

If it's two different batches then that should be good! Can you get your hands on a frer . Also those lines are faint but I didnt need to zoom!

I did another test this morning with FMU (I think I am going POAS mad) and it was another visible but very faint line, again within the 5 mins. None of them seem to be getting darker yet :(

it's worth me saying that the tests I am taking are from 2 different batches as I know that in the past there have been problems with certain batches of this brand. Tests from both batches are coming back faint pos... so that's a good sign? right?

Cramping continues this morning...I am incredibly impatient!
