You are all so good. Ive wasted two tests already and im not even due till Sunday. Should know better but i cant help myself. Ive bought two more and left in my glove box so i wont be tempted to go out in the reain and get them.

Woke with a swollen eye this morning, god knows why, not a pregnancy sign by anychance is it? . Tania can you pop round and do my housework too, you are good getting it done before the kids wake

LipstickMum · 19/10/2004 09:20

Funny you should say that about your eye onamnbreakbut, A few days before I tested my eye was really sore and twitching and felt like I had a sty developing or something, it was odd! I don't think it was realted at all, but at the time I read all sorts into it!!!

MommyD · 19/10/2004 09:21

Morning - Tania - I too feel NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING. AF due Thurs (cd29). I have decided not to test until Sunday or Monday - when THREE days late - if indeed I am late!
I have now convinced myself I am not pg so don't think I will be too when AF shows. (Especially as I had BFN on Sunday - even though it might have been too early to test)

LipstickMum · 19/10/2004 09:22

Sallie, I'm not sure if you have me muddled with someone else (easy to do on this gigantic thread!). I was talking abot ov pains because someone mentioned theirs were so bad they had to take a painkiller. I said I knew I was ovulating because of mild pain, but never that bad... Make sense..?

jeddah · 19/10/2004 09:23

Good morning girlies!!!!!!

I think I have it right in saying.......

Me (jeddah)
mommyd
sweetheart
tania2
tessiebear
twiga
onamnbreakbut
crazylegs

are all testing at the weekend! Bloody hell girls surely one of us will get lucky out of the 8 of us....... HAVE I MISSED ANYONE OUT????

Crazylegs ...sorry to have confused you, but from what I have read, its not dependant on the due date when you test....... it is dpo!
It takes 7-10 for implantation (but everone is different....can take up to 14dpo)Once the egg has implanted...the pregnancy hormone HCG is released which is picked up on a preggers test.

If you don't know when you have ov...... and you tend to be regular...then go by due date. I see that you think you ov on cd12.......so you could test on cd24/25 like you said!

Slink........ov pains are different for everyone, I have heard that some do have to take a pain killer, but this is not very common.

I have a question for you girls who have been pregnant before

I am on cd33 I ov on cd23....I am determined to wait until the weekend before I test again as got bfn on cd29! but i feel like i am going to have af.... like a fullness, slight dull ache.....would i STILL FEEL LIKE i AM GOING TO HAVE AF IF I WAS PREGGERS???????

LipstickMum · 19/10/2004 09:24

MommyD you are due exactly the day I was last week (except i was cd28 on Thurs) When did you ov?

I tested on Wed night because I was so depressed after watching trinny and tranny and wanting my own make over AND thinking I was having af cramps... how wrong was I... and you may be too fingers crossed

Sexyandhappy · 19/10/2004 09:28

Well I am not testing unless GP/nurse offers it for free today. I am going to have a blood test to see why I am not having any periods.... I have no symptom of pregnancy but no periods as well and too skint to pay £10! But they want to test my hormone levels and my thyroid.... just in case I am premenoposal

Any of you had this ? missing periods for a while ? I have had 1 period since August which means I have missed 2 but not back to back... a bit like if I had my periods every other month.

Bagpuss30 · 19/10/2004 09:28

Jeddah, I am also testing at the weekend.

If you are pg then the symptoms are similar to those of af aswell so who knows. I remember that the last time I was pg I was never more convinced that af was just around the corner until I got my BFP. Good Luck

LipstickMum · 19/10/2004 09:29

Jeddah I think you have the list of girls waiting to test right, I am nervous for them too!!!

Have you never ben pg before (sorry, forget everyones stats!!) If not, the signs for af and pg are VERY similar, which is the real bi**h! Tiredness, bloating, mild af pain, sore boobs, sore back are all common to both, not to mention lots of others people swear by.

IME last time I was preggers, the only symptom I had was mild af pain and some implantation spotting, no sore boobs or anything. This time it's the same, no other symptoms except the pain, which is just things growing and changing very rapidly in the uterus, as I understand it.

HTH?

jeddah · 19/10/2004 09:37

hi lipstickmum..... no I have never been preggers, but I am convinced that I an going to have af at any minute, god I am so tempted to test!!!!!!!!! should I?

Sorry bagpuss30! that makes 9 of us.....sorry can't remember your stats??????? good luck .

sexandhappy, just read about your missed periods.....what are your stats....have you recently come off the pill or anything????/
To be honest with you.... its great that you are being tested. They will do about 9 tests in all. 3 hormone tests, thyroid activity and general bloods like iron, calcium etc etc etc. So at least you will know.

sweetheart · 19/10/2004 09:39

Morning ladies!!!!

I'm so chuffed today - I lost 2Ibs at ww last night so only another 2Ibs to go and thats me at goal!!!! I'm going to be so good this week as I'm determined to do it.

I totally pigged out last night in celebration - I had Domino's pizza for tea followed by a whole packet of pistacio nuts (Yummy!!!)
The had some classic choc cake with cornish ice cream and squirty cream uummmmmmmmmmm - I felt so sick afterwards!!!!!!!

Anyway - my boob has stopped hurting and I don't have tummy cramps or anything so hopefully.......
Although I don't have any preg symptoms either so??????????

Feeling very nervous today about my hospital appointment tomorrow. I'm really worrying about things they "might" find wrong with me. I'm going out for a drink tonight to calm my nerves!!!!!

Oh and p.s. - Friend has said she won't check up on me in here any more!?!?!?!?!?!?!

sweetheart · 19/10/2004 09:40

Oh sorry that was a bit long

Lipstickmum - I can't help you I'm affraid - I didn't relise i was pregnant until I was quite far gone last time and it came as a total shock so I missed out on all the early symptoms. Sorry!!!!!

Sexyandhappy · 19/10/2004 09:43

Have been off the pill for donkeys' years actually.... we were using condoms. What do you mean 9 tests ?
I am 36, I have 2 kids, first one took 9 months to concieve, next one only 2 months and this one who knows as I have no clue what's happening!

runtus · 19/10/2004 09:45

Morning girlies!

Bit late today, decided to have a lie in until 7.30am for once! Bliss..........

Just read the list of all those testing at the w/end, god how exciting! Good luck everyone, statistically at least one of you has to be lucky and get a BFP.

Decided last night to go ahead and book the flights to Oz for the end of Jan. Basically we have to do it at some point and we could wait forever weighing up the right time to go. I think that if we go at the end of Jan, I will have been on Clomid for 2 months (if it is prescribed after my blood test) so I'll either be flying on Clomid (which I have read is safe) or flying in the VERY early stages of pg (and might not even know it) so the dange is no bigger than at any other time really.........god, when did going on holiday become so complicated??

LipstickMum · 19/10/2004 09:45

Hi jeddah, Well you are 10 dpo, so technically you could test ... but I don't want to be the one to encourage you, just in case you get a BFN Wonder what the others think???

Sweetheart, I think you have me confused, am I writing v confusing posts?? I got a BFP last week, I already have a dd who is 18 months. I was just answering other ppls queries, not talking about myself

runtus · 19/10/2004 09:47

Ooh, S/heart massive congrats on ww last night - sounds like you had a fab tea to celebrate!

Try not to fret too much about the appointment, the more calm you are the better it will be - promise!

binatracy · 19/10/2004 09:47

hi everyone
well i did 2 tests yesterday and both positive!!! dosent feel real! ive got doctors thursday so see then! loads and loads of goodluck to everyone testing this weekend and all ttc xxx

Bagpuss30 · 19/10/2004 09:50

Congratulations binatracy! . OK ladies, does that mean we have our six graduates now?

jeddah · 19/10/2004 09:50

sexandhappy

Sorry didn't mean to scare you. There will be 1 blood sample but 9 tests! carried out on that 1 blood sample.
LH
FSH
PROGESTERONE
LFT
TFT
HB
UREA
CAL+MAG
ELECT
Thats 9.
The first 3 are hormone tests and the rest are general blood tests to test for general health

sweetheart · 19/10/2004 09:52

Lipstickmum - sorry!!!!! All that fat and sugar from last night has sent me a bit off course today!!!!! I actually meant jeddah!!!!!

Runtus, ohhhh you must be soooooo excited - I'm so !!!!

I'm not sure about the flying on Clomid but I know it's ok to fly in the early stages of pregnancy. I think it's only the last 3 months that it's a bit dangerous. Just make sure you inform your insurance company - at least then you could get medical attention if you needed it!!!!!!

LipstickMum · 19/10/2004 09:52

Binatracy CONGRATULATIONS claps Well done!!!

sweetheart · 19/10/2004 09:55

Thanks Runtus

Ohhhh, is that 6??????

You can't stop this thread now - wait till the weekend, it's a lucky one!!!!!!!

Mind you that's easy for me to say I suppose I'm on the companies broadband!!!!!

jeddah · 19/10/2004 09:55

Oh my god!!!!!! congratulations!!!!!

Bagpuss30 I still do not know what happens after the 6th graduate......does someone start a new thread....? if so, will everyone then transfere onto that.....which will mean that it is still long>>>>>
Sorry being a bit of a newcomer...not sure

sweetheart · 19/10/2004 09:56

Oh yeah sorry

CONGRATS BINATRACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

runtus · 19/10/2004 09:56
