runtus · 18/10/2004 14:07

Bugger it - you do one jot of work and miss the most exciting thing to happen in bloody ages!

MINNIE1 · 18/10/2004 14:09

congrads sweetheart you won far and square..
The thread is so long it had taken me ages to get to the bottom !!! ha ha ha

sweetheart · 18/10/2004 14:09

hee hee - it was very exciting. That was the most adrenelin I've had all day!!!!!

sweetheart · 18/10/2004 14:10

arrgghh thanks Minnie. I'm having some problems scrolling to the bottom of the page!!!

That you for letting me play - it was very exciting (how sad is that!!!)

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 14:10

LOL Bugger i just went to check some of the last hour threads and boom you girls go nuts. glad i started a challange that had nothing to do with getting pg. well done girls you make me laugh.
Now that is done i have to go to bed.

MommyD · 18/10/2004 14:10

Sweetheart wins.
Quick question - i have never taken my temps when ttc - I think I would end up totally obsessed. Do you think you could feel a temp rise when pg? Some ladies talk about feeling hot - but surely the rise is SO small that most people wouldn't actually notice it????

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 14:12

Sweetheart i live in oz and i have never heard of that saying "hows ya kangaroo"

hester · 18/10/2004 14:13

Hi jeddah! Hope you had a good weekend. I was about to say that one of us deserves to get pg next and so finish this thread, but then I thought of Becki and runtus and krocket and sweetheart and Tania and Minnie and LipstickMum and Mirage and MommyD and bintracy and Sallie and Shely and Hula and Mariella and Crazylegs and ooh, everyone else, and I just couldn't decide who I wanted to the next lucky winner (after me, of course ). It is a fantastic thread but very soon it will kill my PC so we're going to have to hope that someone gets there soon. Probably won't be me cos I'm still on CD7 but I'm hoping Number 12 will be lucky for me.

A close friend told me the other day that her mum had said of me, 'Of course hester should become a mother - hester already IS a mother; she's the mother-iest person I know'. (Meaning that I'm very maternal and take care of people, as well as being close to a lot of other people's kids, I guess.) It was a sweet thing to say but it made me feel a bit weepy and sorry for myself that I might never get to care for my own child. But hey, that's BFN talk! I'm not going to give in to that for at least 20 days!

Hope everyone on here is managing to keep their spirits up. Cobweb, I've been thinking of you...

MINNIE1 · 18/10/2004 14:14

Nite nite Tania, Your challange has put a smile on my face...
S/H, I know sad is not the word, but had a laugh and i cannot beleive i lost!!! ha ha ha ha
Mommyd, Would love to help but i'm not to sure about temping..

sweetheart · 18/10/2004 14:14

sorry Tania - that made my day!!!!

I guess it's the british perception of Australians - it's like we don't walk round saying pip pip and tally ho but I'm sure thats how people practice their English accents!!!!

hester · 18/10/2004 14:17

How did that happen?! I was CONVINCED I was going to win the coveted thousandth poster spot, and then that imposter sweetheart sneaks in and whips it from under my nose!

That'll teach me to keep my posts short and snappy...

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 14:19

Hester it will be a hard decision. If we wait till someone gets that BFP then we will be waiting till either Thursday for MommyD then Sunday for Me (anyone else) thats if we both can wait that long. at this very moment iam not feeling the least bit pg. S**t if i was pg would i be up past 11 at night chatting to you girls surely not, i would have been fast asleep hours ago. oh now iam feeling

mariella · 18/10/2004 14:22

ooooh, I missed all the excitement. I'll try and be the 2000th person on this thread instead, at the rate this is going that will be reached sometime tomorrow afternoon!
Hester that was a really touching post. I'm sure it will happen for you soon, we all do.
Next person on this thread certainly won't be me I'm in the middle of the worlds longest and heaviest af (tmi, sorry) I think someone said that was often the case after mirena removal but I wasn't expecting this ! Sorry not even due to start bd for a good few days yet

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 14:23

I cant seem to break away from my PC. I love being able to chat live with you girls instead of waiting till you all wake up.

sweetheart · 18/10/2004 14:26

hester sorry babe!!!!

I should be ready to test at the weekend if af hasn't already arrived. Maybe I'll be the 1000th post and the 6th BFP!!!!!!

Ooohhhhh I hope so!!!!!!!

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 14:27

RIGHT THATS IT IAM GOING TO BED!@!!!! But if ds wakes in the night i will be here checking on you girls!!!

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 14:28

Hey we could have another 3 graduates by next week MommyD, Sweetheart and ME. Thats positive thinking isn't it girls!

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 14:32

Iam really going to bed now REALLY!!
Good night [sleepy face icon]

sweetheart · 18/10/2004 14:33

I won't be able to post if I get a BFP though. My dh wants us to keep it a secret until 12 weeks and although I would tell you girls in a flash I have a friend who uses MN and I know she's been in here checking up on me!!!!!!

Plus I have a £50 bet with her that I wouldn't be able to keep quiet for 12 weeks and I really can't afford to loose £50!!!!!

sweetheart · 18/10/2004 14:33

Tania, don't leave us!!!! The night is young and so are you!!!!!

hester · 18/10/2004 14:36

Sweetheart, I forgive you - but if you get the next BFP I will begin to seriously wonder if there's bribery and corruption going on

Seriously, if you, MommyD and Tania2 all get BFPs I will be upgrading my celebratory Rather Good Glass of Wine to something very sparkly. AND Green&Black chocolate. And I will be suggesting you all join me because it will suggest that this thread is very lucky indeed and to be treasured.

Now Tania2, GO TO BED! You need your sleep! Would it help if we sang you a lullaby?

Mariella - thanks babes; your support means a lot

hester · 18/10/2004 14:39

Sweetheart, you can't possibly keep it secret from us, don't be silly! Firstly, because you'll burst with the effort. Secondly, because we have x-ray eyes and We Will Know. And thirdly, because if you suddenly go silent tongues will wag and you'll be well busted. Surrender to the inevitable!

jeddah · 18/10/2004 14:42

Hi little old jeddah here, I too am ready for testing at the weekend, I already tested on 7dpo and got a BFN I was told that I tested far too early.

I fly to barcelona on wed and back sat....so I will test sunday morning (cd38 and 15dpo) Thats if af hasn't arrived...so whos ready for testing then...
me
mommyd
sweetheart
tania2
Am I right in thinking that, US 4 are all testing at the weekend....have I missed anyone due for testing?

MommyD · 18/10/2004 14:45

I am pretty sure you can count me out - I feel AF on her way AND we completely missed ov days as dh was away from home . If AF arrives on time dh will be away peak time next month too
I did a First Response yesterday and it was a BFN anyway. Might have been too early to test but doubt it . It was 3 (maybe 4) days before AF due. Cycles are 28 or 29 days
