KInd of..I am on and off computer tonight whilst pottering rond place. Are you okay?

LipstickMum · 13/10/2004 21:31

Sorry had a big gap coz I was on the fone. Just wanted a natter really, I think AF is coming

Hulababy · 13/10/2004 21:32

(((hugs))) Sorry; nightmare isn't it? But are you sure? My AF has just gone - first one since coming off pill and TTC; was very horrid and lasted forever.

LipstickMum · 13/10/2004 21:34

Yeah, I read your post about hellish AF post-pill. No, I'm not sure it's definitely AF, I dont want to test until I'm late, ya know?

LipstickMum · 13/10/2004 21:35

It is a nightmare and I am trying hard not to be obsessive . I am ttc #2 have dd17 months, you?

Hulababy · 13/10/2004 21:37

TTC#2 too, my DD is 2.5yo. Only intended having one child until a couple of months or so ago! Now really want a second. Took ages to concieve DD though

LipstickMum · 13/10/2004 21:42

Took us about 6 months with dd, but was coming off the pill like you. Do u use ovulation kits etc. I think I am going to for next month.

Hulababy · 13/10/2004 21:46

Last time it took us 15 months, then an early mc, then another 14/15 till I got pg with DD. I didn't do anything last time to try and help - wasn't really aware of what things I could do. And Dh is very much a "let nature takes its course" kind of guy, This time I have been temping (and charting on Fertility Friend) and monitoring cervix position and CM. Did it last month and continuing. Hopefully it'll help. Not used OV kits. Not planning too just yet as they are so expensive.

LipstickMum · 13/10/2004 21:49

OPK's are expensive, although cheaper on the medisave website. I haven't used them yet either dp is a GP and sort of believes in regualr sex around time of ovulation, he wil go along if I feel I need to scientifically monitor exactly when that is

Sorry you had to try for so long first time round Does put things in perspective for me a bit after only 3 months, I should stop bl**dy whinging!

Hulababy · 13/10/2004 21:52

Well, I can't talk really. This was only my last month and I still felt a bit disappointed. FF plotted OV at CD18, and we had BD'd at all the right times - so I think you just kind of exect and hope, don't you? Let's hope this time round is nice and quick for us all.

LipstickMum · 13/10/2004 21:54

~~~~~~~~~ babydust all round
Thanks for the chat, am off to bed. See you soon.
Hulababy · 13/10/2004 21:55
Me too...night night
SHELY · 14/10/2004 04:18
hi ladies. does anyone out there have extremely painful periods? they just seem to be getting worse as iam getting older, and this month is killing me. from the belly and the back ughhh...but no doctor has seen anything wrong with me thus far, from ultrasounds and blood tests. this is the 1st day, and i have a very high threshold for pain, and this would be what men would consider to be "morphine worthy", if they only knew what it's like to be us. they'd be crying like a baby anyway, i have an appointment for an hsg test on the 20th, so we'll see what, if anything, that reveals. if nothing, iam clueless about the cause of this pain! i got a specialist appt. at 10 am tomorrow, and iam not a big morning person, so i better get some shut eye! new york traffic is death early in the morning, so it will take an hour and 1/2 to get there. good night gals!! baby dust filled dreams to you all
Tania2 · 14/10/2004 04:36
G'day girls,
Shelly sorry about AF arriving. You story was very moving and i shed some tears for you. God brought you an angel and knew that it would make you who you are today a strong positive and loving person. I was very glad to read that you now have a beautiful partner you so very much deserve him and he is very luck to have you. I know your angel is watching over you and will help you conceive. Good luck and bless your soul.
Tessiebear ~ good to read that the brazilian worked! See i told you it would be worth the pain are you hooked now will you be continuing??
Onamnbreakbut ~ Good luck all sounds promising
Cobweb ~ no bleeding has to be a good sign. i had horrible cramping and spot bleeding with ds and he is a beautiful healthy boy.
Happy bding everyone and good luck to those ready to test!!!
Tania2 · 14/10/2004 04:42
Shelly what are you doing up at this time. I have an excuse i live in Australia its 1:40pm here.
In regards to painful af i do get and have always had painful and heavy af's I suffer from endo. Iam seeing a narapath and she has told me that heavy af's are good the more you bleed the more eggs you release and its a good clean out. The pain is the unwanted crap breaking away from the lining. This is the only thing now that gets me through my af's.
jeddah · 14/10/2004 06:39
god girls!!!!!! its taking me aging to catch up!
Thanks minnie1 I feel better today.
I am cd28, I ov on cd22 and last month I had a luteal phase of 6 days!!!!!!!! I am now 6 days today post ov!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and hoping and praying hard.
Girls............what cd can I do preggers test????????
regards to all
pooka · 14/10/2004 07:59
LipstickMum I also think AF is on its way. It's ridiculous for me to be upset about it, really, as this is only really the second month of trying. With dd, who is now 15 months, I conceived first time (wedding night) and I'm paranoid/worried that that means I'm going to find it more difficult this time round. Stupid, I know. I just have never been the most patient of people. It was a real shock last time as had been told I had polycystic ovaries, and hadn't had an AF for 11 months, until first AF just before wedding.
oh well - keep on trying.
Shely - I also seem to have been having awful AF's. Tania2 - fingers crossed that means more eggs and more fertile. Certainly prefer having and AF, however nasty, to not having one IYSWIM.
runtus · 14/10/2004 09:04
Morning all, blimey you all had a good chat last night dIdn't you?! Took me ages to catch up.
Finally gave in and bought a saliva ov testing thingy last night, had a quick test run (CD6 so know not oving now) and it all seems easy enough. Like the fact that it is the same size as a lipstick so can be taken to work easy enough.....DP was a bit non-plussed with the whole thing but think that is just still part of the not wanting to get all'technical' about it....he is by nature in the 'let nature take it's course' camp but I'm wearing him down! I think my need to get pg has just got stronger since I sorted out my maternity leave and everything with work - I just want to get on with it now !!!!
Cobweb - hang in there girl and I know it's not possible to forget about it but try not to stress about it, the more relaxed you are the better.
In case you have forgotten I am still holding Sweethearts chocolate stash, anyone hungry or in need of sustenance??
Sallie · 14/10/2004 09:10
AF arrived this morning
Morning all....
I am on cd22 and getting very bad pains around my left ovary. It happened on and off all day yesterday and this morning. It has made me wince a couple of times. Don't usually get this after ov (cd13 this month). Anyone know what this could be?
LipstickMum · 14/10/2004 09:26
