Anyone in the same boat and fancy some company over the next couple of weeks?

I'm 32, DH 31 - TTC#1 and this is cycle 3.

Hey! I'm 3 dpo ! This is cycle 1, ttc#1 !

Em4815 · 29/01/2020 13:48

Hi @ladytmp - welcome! Fingers' crossed for you! On my cycle 1 I was convinced I wasn't going to let it stress me out and whatever happens happens - now cycle 3 I'm full on using OPKs and Preseed! 😂 I also said to myself I was just going to wait for AF but that went out the window too and both times have ended up testing too early 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hey girls,
I am 35
2DPO
TTC my 2nd (although my first is 11 years old)
We've been trying since last August although this is my first month using OPK's as the "relaxed approach" just wasn't working haha
Really hope this is a positive month! I've had pink spotting for the last 3 days (very small amount and only once per day) but I've never ever had that before so I'm not sure why I have now.. can only assume it's OV spotting
Trying my hardest not to symptom spot but it's sooooo hard!!
Good luck to both of you 😊

Em4815 · 29/01/2020 16:32

Hi @Gems7 - welcome and fingers' crossed! My last two cycles I've had 'symptoms' that I was sure were positive signs and ended up BFN so will try not to do it this month ... easier said than done though. I've never really paid attention to cycle before so it's all new - for me it seems AF symptoms are very similar to some BFPs!

Let's hope for BFPs for all this month 😁

OP posts:
Gems7 · 29/01/2020 17:02

@Em4815 yes they are so similar, and every month I seem to experience something new that I've never experienced before.. Last cycle it was really painful boobs for a full week and this cycle it appears to be OV spotting.
Which OPK's are you using? I've used the clearblue digital (pink) ones this time for the first time, haven't used any before and I seem to ovulate a bit later than I always thought I did.. but think I will get the advanced (purple) ones next cycle unless I get a BFP
🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 fingers crossed for us huni, this TWW always takes so long! Xx

Lizziejayne13 · 29/01/2020 17:34

Hi all !
Can i join
Age 43
AF due 10/11 feb
Ttc #3 - first with new husband - my older 2 are grown up ....
cycle #5
Im currently 2dpo - every month say im going to relax but here i go again symptom spotting ! Good luck all ! Only symptoms i have Are tenderboobs but i always get those anyway at this stage ... Xx

Em4815 · 29/01/2020 21:10

@Gems7 I'm using the Clear Blue Digital purple ones which seem to be working well for me - I like the flashing smiley as a bit of a warning the static is coming but they're so expensive I hope I don't have to buy them for too much longer! 😂

Em4815 · 29/01/2020 21:12

Hi @Lizziejayne13 - welcome! Wow #3, exciting! Have you found it any different this time around?

OP posts:
Ylladyoll · 29/01/2020 21:22

@Lizziejayne13 I'm 43, 4th child with new partner, I had every symptom going last month but AF came as predicted... this month no symptoms at all, AF due 6th Feb. I caught first time with all my other children, my last I was 28, so it must be age, do you find it more difficult? How many cycles have you tried? Xx

Ylladyoll · 29/01/2020 21:23

sorry I see on 5th cycle, I'm on 4 xx

Indigo89 · 29/01/2020 21:33

Can I join? Between 3 and 8 dpo. I'm not really sure when ovulation was as saw ewcm so DTD, then seemed to have more ewcm a few days later. It would be very lucky indeed if I had ovulated and caught. Not using opk yet- hesitantly trying as still bfing DD and periods not long returned.

ladytmp · 29/01/2020 23:30

@Em4815 omg I'm already looking for signs! Drives ne crazy all this waiting! I was googling way to see if you're pregnant early and somewhere read about the toothpaste method, have u heard of this? Grin

Lizziejayne13 · 30/01/2020 00:05

Yea my youngest is 16 and i fell Pg quite accidentally with her so this time ttc is stressful, i think knowing my eggs are older is scary and im worrying more ... doing everything right at the right time but each AF makes me feel sad that this may never happen again but i also feel blessed that i do have children already if that makes sense x

Lizziejayne13 · 30/01/2020 00:08

@Ylladyoll

Hi yes it sounds like we are almost having identical experiences! Im on my 5th cycle ttc - i had 2 early positive FRER tests in december but then it went negative so nit sure if i had chemical or dodgy tests? But apart from that no luck at all :(

Lizziejayne13 · 30/01/2020 00:09

@ladytmp

Whats the toothpaste thing?

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/01/2020 00:14

I think I’m D of O, or tomorrow will be, so maybe a bit early but in the same boat! Will be testing in a couple of weeks anyway!

32, TTC #1 with DH 30. Got pregnant first cycle trying in October but lost it at 5+3. Second cycle trying again but we weren’t super diligent last cycle as it was over new year. So fingers really crossed for this one

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/01/2020 00:17

Oh and OPKs I’m using OvaView from Amazon. £13 for 60 and working very well! No need for flashing smilies you can see the line darkening over time without them

Ylladyoll · 30/01/2020 06:18

@Lizziejayne13 so I've never experienced a chemical or MC have a 28/29 regular cycle but looking on these forums I'm preparing myself for these as it does seem much more likely post 40. Me and my partner just decided to stop using condoms and see what happens. So not going to doctors or want the pressure of opk just trying to hit mid month with the BD be interesting to keep in touch as see how we both get on. 44 in April so feeling age is against me but others have been lucky on here at this age. Just taking pre vits and trying to eat as healthily as possible, I'm overweight:/ xx

Ylladyoll · 30/01/2020 06:24

@Lizziejayne13 my youngest is 15 and I also have a 16 and 25 year old all girls, be nice to have a boy. Saw a gypsy who read my palm early last year who predicted my new partner to a tee and the birth of a boy,I laughed at the time as nearly 43 but it now seems very possible so that's weird :/

Em4815 · 30/01/2020 07:24

Sorry to hear about your loss @BuffaloCauliflower - will keep everything crossed for all of us this time!

Tell all about the toothpaste method @ladytmp!

OP posts:
BuffaloCauliflower · 30/01/2020 09:11

Thanks @Em4815 it was very early and it happens. It’s almost slightly comforting that I’ve got having a MC out of the way, if that makes sense?

Combo of BBT (natural cycles) and OPKs tells me I pretty much definitely ovulated yesterday. We DTD Saturday/Sunday and Tuesday/Wednesday, will try again tonight just for luck and then fingers crossed 😬

Posie8 · 30/01/2020 09:45

Morning, can I join?
I'm 37 and ttc first baby.
Think I ovulated last weekend, been having really bad cramps for the last 3 days and some nausea, AF is due in 8days.

Gems7 · 30/01/2020 09:58

Yes @ladytmp I am also intrigued about this toothpaste method.. 😃
@Em4815 yes I am buying those ones next time if I'm not successful this cycle.. fingers crossed we won't need them though!!
Hey @Ylladyoll @Lizziejayne13 @Indigo89 @BuffaloCauliflower good luck girls! 🤞🏻 xx

Gems7 · 30/01/2020 10:20

Oopps and you too @Posie8 good luck hun.
How long have you been TTC?
Xx

ladytmp · 30/01/2020 10:29

@Em4815 @Gems7 @Lizziejayne13 so apparently if you mix some of your urine with regular toothpaste (the plain white kind I imagine) then if it changed colour or froths, you are pregnant! If it stays the same, it's either too early or your not. Apparently a lot of women have tried it and got relatively positive results from it but as ita not scientifically tested who knows if it's just coincidence but hey! Be interesting to see if it worked!
