First Time Trying - 1DPO?

Anyone else first time trying for a baby and near enough 1 dpo?

@RMusic12 I am using the Ovia app. Probably doesn't help I haven't had any previous cycles for it to use the data from :(

Cool I'm using the Premom I was the exact same.

I came off the pill in October, I only took my first period from coming off a couple of weeks ago (can't remember exact date) I tracked it in my app.

It can take up to 3 months for your body to get back to normal.

@linz5678 welcome. I am just looking at an estimated ovulation date based on previous periods in an app I’ve used for years. I DTD every other day on the run up and on the day after what it said was ovulation. I wouldn’t want to get too worried about the exact date as they say the sperm can survive for days inside anyway. Of course this might change if in months nothing has happened haha. This is only my first month of trying.

@RMusic12 I’m going to hold off on testing until next Thursday I think (if I can manage)!

@RMusic12 Yeah I did read it can take 3 months to come back to normal as well...just trying to be optimistic and patients is not my strongest attribute ahaha might have to try that app out and see if its any better!

I did read that the mini pill doesn't stop you ovulating (I could be wrong though aha) so if that is the case I can't work out how now I have stopped taking it, it is not showing up on the OPKs. Surely its been there all along but it can't be 'fertilised' while I was on the mini pill

@karenkeys this is my first month of trying as well technically however I was hoping to catch straight away after coming off the pill but nothing is that straight forward these days ahaha :')

If only it was that straight forward eh?

It was really getting to me that I hadn't taken a period when I came off the pill. I kinda missed it (I know sounds crazy) then one night I came home from work and it made an appearance lol

6days PO here not trying but not not trying if that makes sense - trying to keep a log of my periods/ovulation to get in tune with my body after being on the pill for years!!

I've felt so nausious and crappy the last couple of days with lower back pain but not sure if I would even feel something this early on and if its just my mind playing tricks!

Hi all, hope yours are having a nice Friday :) so I got a 'high' reading on my ovulation test last night so presume I have ovulated today or soon hopefully. Still none the wiser but persevering with it aha. Has anyone had cramps when they ovulation? How long does it last roughly and is it a strong pain or a dull ache?

In work today a colleague was telling me her best friend had her baby last night and tore in 3 places if she knew I might be pregnant she’d never have told me. It’s so hard keeping quiet when TTC

@ haha no worries. I’m 6dpo (estimated). I’ve decided to test next week on Thursday. Getting the first response early result test for the first go. Which are you going with?

@linz5678 I think I had ovulation pain this month, it was like a sharp pain for a few minutes then felt like a stitch but obviously lower down for a few hours after that!

I'm 8dpo in the morning, might do a test on Sunday with a cheapie and see if anything shows up. If not I'll probably wait till at least 12dpo before doing another.

@littletandme ah thanks! I had some low down pains last night.

Did an OPK this morning and it was positive! Must ovulate CD17/18 so later then 'average' I presume as it's about 12hrs after you get a positive and today is CD17 :) pleased the OPKs are finally showing something ahaha already dreading the 2ww I am going to be so impatient! Aha xx

@linz5678 yes, a BFN this morning but I'm not too disappointed. I'll do another on Wednesday and if that's not positive then I'll wait for AF! We conceived my DD on cycle 2 so I'm hopeful for next month if we didn't fall this time.

@littletandme awww okay. Hopefully it's a BFP when you do test again :)

My 2ww starts now and I know I'm gonna be dying to do a test within a couple of days aha 😂 need to keep myself busy xx

Currently 8dpo took a test with one of those early strips and absolutely nothing.... I know it's still early.

Also just found out one of my pals is pregnancy for the 2nd time. I am very happy for her but I had a wee cry to myself, and I'm so sorry to sound so selfish but why is it easier for other people 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔

Aww @RMusic12 I can imagine that hurts hearing of others getting pregnant but it still could be your month! I’ve decided to move my test forward a day to next Wednesday. My other half’s idea he said since it’s a pack of 2 tests we may as well give Wednesday a go and then try at the weekend when my period is due if there’s no line.

Fingers crossed for our tests next week!

Earlier on I felt a really sharp pain left hand side way down below. I'm thinking could that be implantation? At 8dpo?

I woke up also in the worst mood ever my partner even asked me if I was on my period! So bad!

9 dpo and I feel like someone is literally sitting on my bladder!!!

I have never had a kidney infection and I have never had a UTI,
This is such an odd feeling! Help!

But I done a test this morning and negative, am I still to early in testing? Or do I give up? X

@RMusic12 I’ve read you’re really only guaranteed a positive after your period is due so I wouldn’t give up yet. I’m 9 DPO today as well but haven’t tested yet. Holding out until Wednesday earliest.
