So, the subject says it all! Although I feel I may have more a chance this month.
I came off the pill December - last month we was out. But this month, I apparently ovulated yesterday 12/01/20. We did the deed twice 2 days before ovulation... so today Iam 1dpo.

Anyone in the same that wants to join?
I really want to try not symptom spot, but yesterday I felt the cramps - which led me to think it was ovulation.
Confused

Sorry @TangBloodyFastic - Such a kick in the teeth isn't it. Still a positive attitude for next time, When is O day for you? Mine predicts 28th, although my AF has not properly arrived yet, it is certainly on it's way...

Here's to a November baby!! Lol x

TangBloodyFastic · 17/02/2020 10:29

@polejunkie tbh I have no idea! Each app is saying a different thing with one giving the start of my next fertile period as the 25th?! That's only 3 days after my period will probs finish so I don't believe that date is correct.
I've got some OPK to use for this cycle, so hoping to be able to tell for definite with those.
My BBT dropped this morn. Quite impressed how accurate that was as when I actually went to the loo AF was in full force! Clever stuff really isn't it 🤓

polejunkie · 17/02/2020 10:33

@TangBloodyFastic - I dunno, my fertile week starts from 23rd (4 day AF) I will get clear signs of O looming around 25th 26th (EWCM is a clear sign for me) so that may be accurate for you!

It is amazing how clever it all is, but at the same time we should be able to use this to our advantage and here we all are - Not pregnant haha x

TangBloodyFastic · 17/02/2020 10:38

@polejunkie yeah EWCM is very obvs for me too and hopefully DH won't be away at the most critical time this month Grin
My body gives me all the signs I need and still can't get up the duff! This is only our 3rd cycle so not getting stressed about it just yet but due to my age I can see the dr after 6 cycles if it's not happening for us.
What cycle are you on now?

polejunkie · 17/02/2020 10:45

@TangBloodyFastic this was only our 2nd, but I wasn't on any contraception so shouldn't be losing any time there. I know it's really early days and we shouldn't get disheartened, but I can't help it - I think because I fell immediately with my little one (I'm now divorced so I don't know that me and current partner can actually conceive...) I am not really equipped for the TWW and it's playing on my mind a lot, honestly I really feel for those who try, unsuccessfully, for years. Still, within the first 6 months is quite normal and we are in the middle of that, so very much trying to keep positive! My partner is also older, so I genuinely feel like if it doesn't happen naturally we certainly won't be going down treatment routes etc, we are lucky enough to have a child so we shall see how it plays out x

TangBloodyFastic · 17/02/2020 10:58

@polejunkie staying relaxed is what I keep hearing is key. Not easy though when it plays on your mind all the time. It's still early days for you so don't get too disheartened too soon.
I haven't been on contraceptive pill for years either so, in theory (!!!!), I'm good to go!
Taking folic acid to make my accommodation as inviting as possible 😂

polejunkie · 17/02/2020 11:02

@TangBloodyFastic - I may start taking Folic Acid, as you say we must try to relax! It is very early days x

LV1987 · 17/02/2020 11:55

Relaxing is so easier said than done though, isn't it. I hate that I'm not in control 😂🙄

polejunkie · 17/02/2020 12:34

@lv1987 - in full agreement with you on that front - I think I'm crazy, but when you talk to people, you realise this whole TTC lark is rather consuming!

Kates21 · 17/02/2020 13:10

I’ve got tests 🤦🏽‍♀️ I went to B&M to cheer myself up and suddenly ended up with some tests in my basket! With 4 days to go, I think I did well 😂

LV1987 · 17/02/2020 13:25

I'm so restrained... Mine have been sat in my drawer since 17th Jan 😂 I'm still trying to hold out until Saturday, when my app says AF is due... In theory, if my dates are a couple of dates out Saturday should still be fine as they are FRER. I'm not wasting a fiver by giving in earlier than that, half term is too expensive 😂😅

TangBloodyFastic · 17/02/2020 13:36

@Kates21 be wary of the b&m ones. I got one, can't remember the name - clear and simple or something like that - and it gave me a BFP, AF arrived less than 36 hours later.

TangBloodyFastic · 17/02/2020 13:40

So AF has decided it's not in full swing and has disappeared again?!?! Or is very very light?? ... this morn marked on the app that it was day 1 of AF should I change it to spotting instead?
I have never had this before it's pissing me right off 🤬

Kates21 · 17/02/2020 13:42

@TangBloodyFastic

I’ve bought branded hun, clear blue ones. But if I test I’ll get a frer anyway. Thanks for the heads up x

polejunkie · 17/02/2020 13:44

@kate21s - The real test is whether you can resist the urge to POAS now you have the tests in your clutches haha

I am sure I've said it before, but if I have a test I have to pee on it, even though I know i'll be sad when I see the single line...

@TangBloodyFastic - SNAP! I had brown spotting yest and slightly the day before, got in a right old huff and today NOTHING!! I've not bled at all - I'm not thinking too much about it, i'm sure she's on her why but my god it messes with you! hang in there x

TangBloodyFastic · 17/02/2020 14:19

@polejunkie I'm so confused by all this. Seriously my cycle is normally clockwork. This is downright ridiculous. I know it can't be psychological but it's making me 🧐 as this is the only time I've been waiting for it to happen and this is the one time it's crazy. Have I brought it on myself 🤨

polejunkie · 17/02/2020 14:31

Same - But mine was off last month too, came early! It's impossible not to worry, but the minutes, hours and days will tick by and you'll figure it all out - I do wonder if we just don't notice some of these changes / complexities when we're not pinning so much hope on TTC?

I know we're all in the same boat, but even after neg tests and AF trying to show and cramping etc, I'm still secretly hoping I'm not out... Ah well - It's certainly out of our hands at this point in the cycle, that's for sure! x

polejunkie · 17/02/2020 14:32

Have you tested?! @TangBloodyFastic, if you're due that might give you an answer x

TangBloodyFastic · 17/02/2020 14:35

@polejunkie no, I was going to wait until AF as that would have been definitive but with what's happening I might try the clear blue I have at home or do you think I should FRER first?

polejunkie · 17/02/2020 14:37

I'm afraid I don't really know which is more reliable - Mixed reviews on both - You could use a sample and try both tests if you're not content with the first test? Just an idea - Sending you luck x

Kates21 · 17/02/2020 15:14

@polejunkie

I’m gonna wait it out. Today I had some sharp twinges left side of groin, didn’t last long! That’s about it x

OP posts:
polejunkie · 17/02/2020 15:15

Good for you Kates21 - I take my hat of to you! I have 1 clear blue left, no point in testing now I'm due on, unless AF doesn't come today, then I may treat myself by POAS tomorrow morning haha - definitely think she's coming though!

LV1987 · 17/02/2020 15:23

I just feel really uncomfortably full today - I've not eaten enough to warrant it and looking back, I said the same a few days before AF arrived last month. Boo!

polejunkie · 17/02/2020 15:24

Boo indeed @LV1987 x

Kates21 · 17/02/2020 16:31

Funny tho. Since buying them I feel cramps & TMI wet feeling down below!

She’s on her way I reckon, my body’s gearing up!
