How long did it take you to conceive with your second?

Me and my OH are going to start trying for our second child in the new year. It took me 16 months to fall pregnant with my first (aged 25). I know everyone is different but I am just intrigued to know how long it took you to conceive your first and then how long it took to conceive your second? I am expecting it to take roughly the same amount of time it did to conceive my first second time around but would obviously like the wait to not be as long.

How does that compare to how long it took with your first guys?

It was 4 -5 months... hard to tell, I came off the pill and never got regular periods back in that time!

My first took over a year and required fertility drugs. So I was quite surprised when I got pregnant a year after giving birth while not even trying. My OB/GYN then explained to me that it's often easier the second time.

First time both times!

My first was a surprise. Second took over 18 months.

Totally different pregnancies too.

Hi, took me almost a year with our first and fell pregnsnt first month of trying with second. Wasn't expecting that at all! So you may not be waiting too long!

Accidentally. I thought I was being careful counting dates but the cycle after I quit breastfeeding dd1 I was pregnant. Managed to get pregnant again on the last day of my period but miscarried at 6 weeks. I was very fertile, h had the snip to prevent oopsies. Having the coil fitted now I'm in a new relationship, despite being too old really, my blood hormone levels are still indicating I'm fertile apparently according to nurse when I was tested (I thought I was peri menopausal, apparently not)

First time both times- very aware we were extremely fortunate!

No time at all. Is 1.5 years between my two. Sil eldest 2 just the Same.

The first time we had unprotected sex with both of my children, however I then miscarried twice with 2nd pregnancy and it took another 3 months to fall pregnant.

2nd cycle (I was 21).

We didn't use a condom one time and thats how I became pregnant with our first lovely daughter, now two and a half.

Second pregnancy took four weeks from when we decided to start TTC - sadly had to have a TFMR at 12 weeks though.

Third and current pregnancy occurred only three weeks after the induced miscarriage for the second pregnancy. Now 34+5 weeks with our second daughter.

Which was a bit of a shock as it'd taken almost a year to conceive DC1. There's only 16 months between them. I was 30.

I was the same age for my first and took one month. On the third cycle ttc a second.

@rumandbiscuits I fell pregnant straight away with my 1st, I've been trying 2 years now for my 2nd. Ended up having to get a laparoscopy at the end of October for suspected endometriosis, I had a 10cm chocolate cyst on my right ovary.

A year with my first and 3.5 years with second.

Both dd1 and DTs were surprise pregnancies. Not sure how (well....I am....) but there we go!

First was a year.

Second was just over two years.

Third was a one off accident “I don’t get pregnant that quickly it’ll be fine”

Immediately with my first. Second after one month. I was in my 30s.

First took 4 years and 3 miscarriages.
Second took about 2 weeks; surprise surpise third was almost instantaneous!
