First cycle trying SMEP - Anyone else?

I'm currently on CD8 so am going to attempt the SMEP plan this month.

I've been referred to the fertility clinic but would love to conceive naturally before my appointment comes through so this seems like our best chance!

Is anyone else currently doing this or planning to? Would be good to have a SMEP buddy.

Well ladies, I'm out 😔 I bought more FRER yesterday with the intention to test this morning but I woke up at 5.30 to go to the loo and AF had arrived in full flow!

How is everyone getting on? I'm hoping you all get your BFPs (and those of you who already have them are doing well) x

@Each2TheirOwn oh hun, sorry to hear about AF :( here if you want to chat, you feeling ok?

Each2TheirOwn · 12/09/2019 09:32

Thanks @Coastaldreamer 😊 I'm ok, just really confused and disappointed 😔 My body was giving me all the signals that this could be my month and I really started to believe it was. Never mind, I've got 1 more month of trying before my FC appointment (and before I turn 35) so I'm going to give this cycle my all! And if that doesn't work then at least I know I'll be getting some form of help so I'm confident it will happen for me soon (I'm so impatient though, I want it now) lol x

@Each2TheirOwn yeah I know what that disappointment feels like. Hopefully next cycle will be your cycle 🤞🏽 and the GP actually said to us that the number of couples who fall pregnant naturally after they start seeing the FC is so high because apparently the stress goes away a bit. I wasn't sure I believed him but soon as we knew we were going to potentially get help we fell pg! So have faith 😘x

@Each2TheirOwn I’m so sorry to hear about AF. This is such a frustrating process although it’s also fun and exciting and confusing 😂. Love the positive attitude though, I’ll be keeping everything crossed this is your month but it must feel good to know that if not you can get some help and answers. I’m hitting the dreaded 35 next week and I’m trying not to stress about that. I’ll be testing the weekend after and I’ll be celebrating with family so it would be a good boost to have a positive.

We're back after a lovely week in the sun! Congrats to any BFPS I missed and sorry for any that af got her hands on.
I was going to wait a bit longer but I gave in and tested this morning and got the faintest line ever so I am still none the wiser. Used a frer and I am 13dpo so would have thought it'd show more than that at this stage so I'm not holding my breath... will wait a couple of days and see what happens I suppose!

Well I got my answer, af has arrived today so I'll be moving on to the October threads!
Good luck to everyone still waiting for their answers!

Coastaldreamer · 15/09/2019 18:30

@SMiles14 sorry to hear about AF hun, I hope next cycle brings you more luck ☘️ x

hello ladies. I’m also trying SMEP this month, we’ll attempting as I’ve heard it’s quite exhausting. I’ve stocked up on OPKS! Any advice? Do your other half’s know about the plan?
