First cycle trying SMEP - Anyone else?

I'm currently on CD8 so am going to attempt the SMEP plan this month.

I've been referred to the fertility clinic but would love to conceive naturally before my appointment comes through so this seems like our best chance!

Is anyone else currently doing this or planning to? Would be good to have a SMEP buddy.

@Each2TheirOwn it's hard to tell 😅 woke up on the sofa today and OH has come home early and was sat playing PS4 on full volume and hadn't it hadn't even woke me up so must be quite tired but I have just finished a night shift 😅

Funny 'stomach bug' feeling in my tummy. It I generally feel fine, got a slight beach ache at mo, but basically no nothing substantial enough to suspect a BFP is coming x

@Each2TheirOwn that’s the plan, keep going every other day until I get a positive OPK or AF arrives. I am showing as being in my fertile window on the Ava app but OPK are negative at the moment. Does anyone do the OPK more than once in a day. I’ve been doing in the morning and then yesterday I did one in the evening too. I waited four hours holding my urine before that evening test but wasn’t sure if it’s necessary to test twice in a day.

OH doesn't believe it says we have to go get a clear blue!! 😱🥰 I'm in shock!! We were going to do a lil video of us reaching to the test and DSS went came over and picked it up before we had chance 😂👏🏼

I did another IC today... still faintish line... so it's either a chemical or it's just not dark enough yet. That or I counted my DPO wrong!

@Coastaldreamer 🤞🏻🤞🏻 your line gets darker! Maybe you OV a couple days later than last thought? Why not get a FRER there more sensitive that IC aren't they? Xx

Well I got my first flashing smiley today and it’s absolutely accurate with what my Ava bracelet is telling me. It’s given me such a boost and we DTD this morning. Hope you’re all having a great weekend.

I'm good thanks, had some VERY light brown spotting Saturday and Sunday (10 & 11dpo), only there when wiping, tiny spot on liner. However, today it seems to have stopped 🙈 I'm REALLY hoping it was IB 🙏🏼 AF isn't due till Thursday but I'm going to test tomorrow with a FRER.

Hopefully I'll be joining you on the May 2020 thread 🤞🏼 x

Well it was a BFN for me this morning using a FRER 😔 not even a hint of a squint there 👎🏼 so I have lost about 95% of hope for this month. However, I'm not due on until Thursday going by my average 32 day cycle (although my last 4 have been 32, 30, 31, 36) so if she doesn't show then I'll test again then 🤞🏼 x

@Each2TheirOwn your not out until AF shows though sweetie 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I didn't test until the day before AF was due incase I got a BFN as some ladies have the day before they got their BFP I'd leave it till Thursday or maybe Friday then test again if AF doesn't show 💞

@Coastaldreamer @flossy12 Thanks guys 😊 Got more FRER ordered (arriving tomorrow) so will test again on Thursday (assuming AF doesn't make an appearance).

Got this digital confirmation this morning so finally breathing a bit easy!

If it helps anyone - we used the Conceive plus lubricant as well as the SMEP obv no way to tell if that was what swayed it for us but it definitely helped in the "prep" of dtd too! Was just easier to use and get going 😂

Apparently I’m ovulating today according to my Ava bracelet but still got flashing smiley. So we are just going to keep DTD until the digital OPK goes back to negative. We’ve not really done well with following SMEP, basically been at it every night again but I’m determined to follow it next cycle if we don’t get a BFP. Also using preseed this month for the first time.
