TheMuppetMuggle · 09/09/2007 14:47

sorry to hear about your BFN WD

SB all i can picture now is my belly button being blue lol

looneytune · 09/09/2007 15:06

whitedaisy - if your cycle is that long, how come they still did the test on day 21? I was told that it was based on a 28 day cycle and that because my cycle was longer, I just adjust accordingly. This is from a Dr who sort of specialises in Fertility problems.

whitedaisy · 09/09/2007 15:23

I'm on Clomid! It is meant to regulate your cycle. When I was 1st tested before treatment they did it on day 23.

looneytune · 09/09/2007 15:39

Oh right, thanks

sweetkitty · 09/09/2007 18:08

evening all been shopping today and had ncie lunch even sneaked in some OPKs the clearblue digital ones where you get a smiley face, used them with DD1 a few times not not digital. Just want to see if I am ov-ing.

muppet - my DP is the same but I told him no way he's ran 12 miles today think that would cool him off a bit. Sorry to hear about D having the chickenpox too hope she's over them soon x

libralady - sounds promising!!!

KD - really feel for you the waiting is horrible

I'm on the October thread now as well but I'll hang around here to see all the BFP's coming up.

TheMuppetMuggle · 09/09/2007 18:42

Thanks SK, she'll be fine i think she's over the worst of it now. DP was absolutely shattered after football today, so is just chilling out half asleep in front of the TV (which is kinda nice) as Darcie will be in bed when in the night garden has finished and DP will prob go to bed so i can sit and watch LOTR 2 in peace

Glad you had a good shopping trip - i'll start using my ov kits on day CD 8 so 4 days to go!

What you all got planned tonite??
xx

Spink · 09/09/2007 18:58

hello, just thought I'd let you know what is happening since so many of you have been lovely and asked after me - thank you
Still bleeding today, but much less, and some clear discharge too (sorry if TMI). I guess this must be a m/c proper now and no longer a 'threatened' one? Does anyone know how long I would continue to test positive after mc, and when I can start ttc again? I reckon I'll be on the Nov ttc thread at the earliest... Ouch. sounds like a long time away . But. I'll be thinking of you bd'ing away busily! and hope you get your BFPs as soon as possible!!!
xx

TheMuppetMuggle · 09/09/2007 19:01

(((Hugs))) Spink - Sounds like MC and bleeding can happen for a couple of wks - and DRs say wait till get a proper period before TTC again.
Thinking of you xx

penguinmum · 09/09/2007 19:47

Hi all. Spink sorry to hear of your bleed .

Am glad I didn't test, and I can just think of this as a really heavy (and weird) af. Was at my mum's yesterday, and she said it sounded like a near miss - I prefer to think of it as a near hit! Fingers crossed for next time.... Think I will prob have to go over to the October thread as well, but might just hang around here for a bit if that's ok?

Bucky2007 · 09/09/2007 19:54

sorry to hear that Spink. Have you been to docs yet? I would say you will defintely test BFP for a few days at least after MC. Maybe longer. I was still testing BFP two weeks after, MMC but obviously didn't test after that so don't know how long it went on for...

Make sure you find out for sure though as it may still be OK. My friend is due to give birth in the next few weeks and she bled really heavily throughout. It turns out it was her blood not the baby's, some problem with her womb. The baby is perfect though. I don't mean to get your hopes up but you should be sure.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

abbymeg · 09/09/2007 19:55

Spink - I've read on here that quite a few people wait after MC, though I don't know how many weeks they were when they lost their pregnancies. I'm not a medical expert, but when I had my DD, I had a MC before. I bled 5 days after AF was due and lost it early, but conceived DD immediately afetrwards. Someone told me at the time that MC prepares your body for a future pregnancy? I honestly don't know the truth in this. This month I am on my second cycle. Last month I am absolutely convinced I was pregnant. I didn't get a positive test, but my symptoms were overwhelming (my nipples are still HUGE and painful - dh is in awe!!) and AF, which is never late, was 2 days late, very painful and really light. I discussed it with the GP who said MC was very likely, given my symptoms. She said pregnancies fail this early because there's usually something wrong, and it's rarely because of the mother. Given this, I don't know why people wait to try again, unless it's to have a rest because it is horrible and upseting. I also told her I intended to try again this month, and she said to go ahead. I really have my fingers crossed for you, and I would certainly try to get to your doctor if you can. I hope this helps.

AbRoller · 09/09/2007 20:39

Hi all, please forgive me for not reading all the posts, I'm feeling pretty shit. Had a horrible day at work which I really didn't need as AF arrived last night

I'm so confused, my cycle is normally 28 days exactly but this month, the very first month we TTC it only last 26 days! I have been cramping since CD15 and had a few other symptoms which I now realise I must have imagined. I was so convinced and now I feel silly. To add to it all, af is being a total bitch this month and I have been almost doubled over in work today so much so that my male colleagues noticed

I have no idea how to do an update so if there's anyone who would kindly move me back to boring CD1 (think CD1 today as TEW arrived at 1am this morn) I would be very grateful. TIA

Best wishes all
Abs

fairysnuff · 09/09/2007 21:21

Hiya is it ok that I have popped myself onto the end of the list? I am trying deperately to keep away from those tests and all chemists so that I can't buy one of the expensive digital kind

spink - so sorry to hear that it probably is a mc on the ttc front I was told that you can try straight away and just to wait until the bleeding has stopped, I actually ov-ed whilst still bleeding so it goes to show you ready your body is even if your mind is laggin behind it.

penguinmum - sorry to hear about your weird AF

muppetmuggle - I'm planning to use my ov kits from day 11 to day 18

digitalgirl · 09/09/2007 22:26

Abroller & Spink sorry to hear about AFs .

Spink, I've read other women on here continuing to TTC straight after MC, especially when they've been quite early (4 or 5 weeks) as it's quite common for women to not realise AF is actually MC.

Abroller - know how you feel, except the other way round with mine turning up late rather than early. Hope AF bitch cramps have subsided, she seems to emphasise the pain of not being pg . Have started an Oct thread, you can join us there where we're all early on in our cycles

I'll continue to lurk on here, but good luck to all you Sept bfp hunters! Happy Bd'ing, may your eggs be well and truly fertilised and may your BFPs come up bright and bold!

dg x

ladylush · 09/09/2007 22:42

Spink - so sorry you now are certain it's a m/c. I agree though with the advice to get a scan so you know for sure. Are you still getting pain?

Well it's CD1 today as the evil witch reared her ugly head after several days of moderate spotting. I'm not disappointed as I have sinusitis and I had it last pregnancy and then went on to m/c so I did wonder if the infection had anything to do with the m/c. It was a particularly bad case and I left it for a few weeks as I didn't want to take anti-biotics whilst pregnant (it didn't shift so eventually I had to take some, but by then I had m/c anyway). I have noticed that I get sinusitis either just before a period or when pregnant (had it each time I was pg then m/c). I am thinking my immunity is plummeting pre-period. I spoke to dr but he wasn't interested in looking at causes. Easier to write a script I suppose

Now hoping for bfp in October. Good luck everyone else for this month

AbRoller · 09/09/2007 22:50

SK thank you for changing my CD. I have moved over to the October thread as I won't be getting a September BFP in such short time (no matter how much I try )

Good luck and best wishes to all of you
Abs

Meglet · 10/09/2007 14:21

I'm going to have to leave this thread too and move to the October one. AF is due 2nd oct so wouldn't get a BFP until around then. Buckets of luck to everyone else though. x

Bucky2007 · 10/09/2007 14:31

Have done the roll call...It should be right but if not feel free to edit it. I wasn't sure if to take off the people who are on the October thread, so I have left them on for now. Made me feel to take them off. Its so quiet over here. .
