September bus

Hey, so was a little flakey on August bus because this is so hard, but I like the support and folk with bfps give me hope.

Anyway, I am on cycle is seven now, period due first or second September. But will probably poas end of Aug because I turn into a sucker for punishment the week before.

How are you all doing? Will be happy and sorry to see familiar names back.

I also will disappear for days at a time, which doesn't mean I'm ignoring folk, but finding it too intense.

I think AF is due 5th sept for me, but I'm probably gonna test next Friday lunchtime (30th), early I know, but it's only because me & my BF have doctors appointments in the afternoon, a standard welcome/heathcheck thing because we've just changed to a new surgery. They've told us they'll do urine tests during the appointment so I'd hate to find out in the appointment without him being there! I'd feel so mean because he's just as excited about this whole thing as I am! 😍

@Lu1u Planning to test on 31 August (which will be pointless as I'll be only 8 DPO at most) and 5/6 September - both dictated by weddings we're going to! Just a week to test for you the exciting, fingers crossed!

Think I’ll try to hold out until after AF is due on 31 August/1 September ... as much as the wait kills me

My app says I have 10 days till a pregnancy test. This wait is awful 😂 never wished time away so much.

Only 3 DPO today and trying not to overthink every cramp or twinge. I know it'll be a few days before anything even implants even if an egg has been fertilized but it's so hard not to get excited!!

@Blossomingflower94 I’m the same, feeling every twinge at 5-6DPO. I keep getting excited because I can feel like a burrowing/pulling heavy feeling in my uterus and I keep imagining it being an egg implanting but totally aware that it could be unrelated 🙈😂 so thankful for the bank holiday distractions! My app says 9 days until test so we are similar!

I'll join too, September will be my third cycle - AF will be due mid Sept.... she's currently here very lightly at the moment. So am looking forward to starting round 3 sometime at the end of next week! 🤞 for third time lucky!

@sunshine8888 that's good! Do you think you'll test early or are you going to wait? I'm definitely waiting the 10 days.

@Blossomingflower94 nope I’ll wait I think; I’d rather see if AF turns up then waste tests and the constant disappointment of multiple Bfns!

My opk has calmed down now so my peak must've been during the night! Does this make me 1 dpo 😂😩 here I come ttw!!

Hi guys so sorry if I annoy everyone but I have another opk question. I'm CD 7 and my opk is 0.44... But when I first took the picture it only read as 0.23 so obviously it got quite a bit darker as it dried! So my question is do you count it from when it first shows or when it's completely dried? Also I wasn't expecting to have such a strong one so early and I'm wondering if maybe I've been missing my ovulation every month?! Xx

@CarolineKate funny enough Ive been wondering the same thing since I've been doing the OPKs 😬

From what I can see you haven't missed it yet cause the test line isn't as dark as the test line

Hi all, hopping on the September bus please!

I'm on CD9 of our sixth cycle. Usually ovulate around CD17, but it was CD14 last month, who knows why! Feeling a bit worn out by the highs and lows of ttc, plus what feels like so many pregnant friends and family around me. About to start the opk testing for the month - good luck to you all, fingers crossed for positives all round!

On opks and getting darker @CarolineKate - I reckon go with whatever line is within the test window - usually 10mins I think? You might be getting a concentration of dye as it dries, so perhaps not as accurate

APART FROM I BLOODY CAVED THIS MORNING!!!! I needed the biggest wee ever at 3am and decided to hold it and do a test when I got up at 6 😳 I think there might be the squintiest of squinters but will have to wait a couple more days and retest because I'm an idiot 🤪

Also, I looked on the instructions for one step. It says allow 10 minutes for it to complete and discard after 30 minutes!

By coincidence I was just reading the FRER website and it's full of terrible reviews, saying they always have faint lines, regardless of the test result 🙈 so... any ideas on the best brand to try? Or just go with that knowing it might be a false positive??

I've had slight tingles/twinges for 2 days and today is definite dull ache in lower tummy, it's lighter than period pain, but (potential TMI here and potential cause for a laugh 😂) could it just be wind????? 😂🤷🏻‍♀️😂🙈 it's definitely not hunger, I've ruled that one out!!! 😂 I'm cycle day 13, but don't have regular cycles, so it could just be a short cycle?? I'm rubbish at defining my CM consistency but it went from slippery to pasty about three days ago?? 🤔

Yes I have also those too. I wondered if what often happens is that the result is correct but the pregnancy ends in a chemical shortly after which maybe causes the heartbreak and confusion? I think pink dye tests are the most recommended ie. First response. I used a clear blue this morning and don't really trust them like you said. Saying that (don't laugh) I did one on Wednesday this week and there was absolutely nothing, and the one this morning has so who knows!

@Lu1lu I do see a faint line there! Hard to tell if it has colour or not with the blue but could be promising, crossing all fingers for you! How many DPO are you?

Oh and regarding the FRERs I have used them before and never saw a faint line so I don't think the false positive rate can be that bad?

hahaa @Lu1u I woke up dying for a wee and did consider it but then decided no, it’s too early! Plus I said I’d hold out until AF due! I think I see something but hard to see any blue on my phone. 🤞🏻 though!
