Just got a BFP. I took the test during my lunch break, it was more out of boredom than a real belief that I could be preggers.

Am totally stunned.

I have only had 1 AF since giving birth a year ago. That AF was eight weeks ago. I was not surprised when another did not follow 4 weeks later as I thought it would take a while for normal service to resume.

The thing is I have not had sex since the AF. Seriously. Therefore one of the following most be true:

  1. I was pregnant before last AF and it was not a real AF. But it was very, very heavy so this seems an unlikely option. It would also make me quite far along (10 weeks?) which is too scarey for words.

  2. This is an immacualte conception.

I am not at all sure what to beleive. Am sitting at my desk staring at the test. Have not called DP yet. Maybe I should call the Vatican instead.

I'm thinking more and more that this is a wind up. I really hope not.

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/07/2007 22:41

Good grief. Does the woman not understand how many people she has on tenterhooks?!

Really do hope everything is ok! There are a lot of people thinking about you tonight IS&A, and sending positive things your way. (Aaah, nearly said "vibes" then!)

Suppose either way, she's got a lot to think about.

Budababe · 01/08/2007 06:21

Hope you are OK ISAA and that you got good news.

But if not - there are lots of people on here to offer support.

Egg · 01/08/2007 08:25

Hopefully some news by 9? If she has no PC at home and has to wait til work? Fingers crossed.

flightattendant · 01/08/2007 08:28

I really hope it wasn't bad news, she won't know what to say if it was

wannaBe · 01/08/2007 08:35

this is a wind up.

if she hadn't had sex and had had a heavy period why would she do a pregnancy test? makes no sense.

plus if she didn't have a pc at home she would have said that she would update tomorrow..

.

flightattendant · 01/08/2007 08:38

I don't think it's a wind up. Far too frank and pleasant OP if you ask me. Just hope it isn't bad news.

flightattendant · 01/08/2007 08:39

I did preg tests all the bloody time just because I wanted to be pg, no matter if I'd had sex at a reasonably useful time

belgo · 01/08/2007 08:41

some people just don't spend their whole lives on the PC, hard as that is to believe. Let's give her a chance to respond before shouting 'wind up'.
