Hi everyone 👋

Can't see a May bus, so thought I'd start one up!

A little bit about me...

TTC: #1
Age: 28
Cycle: 5
CD: 5
AF/BFP due: 10th May

This cycle I'm making a real effort to take my pre-conception vitamins EVERY day and going to use Pre-seed this cycle too.

Come on in and share your stories, symptoms and if needed, vent to your heart's content...

@McHelenz thank you! When is AF or bfp date for you? Mine is May 13th. Don't like to test before then because I like the idea of a potential baby, if that makes any sense at all, the feeling that it's still possible which a bfn would take away.

The 6th. My birthday is the 8th so thinking of trying to wait till then to test!

@McHelenz ah, happy birthday. Mine is ninth May, so we're one day apart. I hope you get a positive test for your birthday.

@Veevee457 I'm cycle three as well. Maybe it's our lucky cycle. So many lovely bfps on the last thread I was on, but not for me, but maybe this time it will be.

@Paddypaws91 luckily it didn't turn into one - after taking paracetamol and drinking 3 times my body weight in water I'm finally feeling better! x

@Sleepyhead11 thanks for the link, I feel like I keep learning everyday on this thread it's super helpful!

It is shocking how much I don't know though - my GP was pretty vague on the dos and don'ts when I told her we were trying so thank goodness I have you ladies!

My details are not as clear cut.
I am TTC no: 2
I was 6 weeks pregnant but had a miscarriage on 15th this month so my cycle is completely knock off now. Patiently waiting for things to return to normal. Drs said my next period will come some time in May.

My best friend (who knows the week I have had) announced to me today that she is 3 weeks pregnant. I am happy for her but at the same time I do feel ready to TTC again soon.

I like that on my FLO app I've logged I had unprotected sex last night and it's directed me to an article on STIs...🤨 cheers FLO.

@MeganMama28 glad it wasn't a migraine. I had a god awful headache all day yesterday too. May be because I've cut down on caffeine ☕️😭 which IMO is much harder than giving up alcohol!!

@mylittlebunny really sorry about your MC 😞 how awful. I hope your friend was sensitive when she gave you her news. Good luck, May is just around the corner x

@Paddypaws91 haha you did make me chuckle with your app! I enter my FW too today . My husband always want DTD everyday but I try to do it every other day I I think it is better for sperm count isn' it ?

@Renault5 😅 probably shouldn't take offence to an app.

I've read in quite a few places that DTD every other day is more effective than every day, but there are a lot of conflicting articles. It's a minefield! 🤷🏼‍♀️

In April we dtd every second day and more on day before and if ovulation, also used preseed but was not successful. It’s so frustrating.

Hi all

Joining in on the May Bus if that's okay. Husband and I had the conversation and have decided to start trying this cycle. We went to Maldives in Dec and have been off the pill since then but using protection due to Zika.
The NHS have now changed it to 3 months for waiting to try instead of 6 months so jumping on the May bus.

I’m using CB digital ovulation (the ones which pinpoint 2 most fertile days not 4) does anyone know whether the 2 day ones are better? My friend who has been ttc told me they are better than the 4 day ones but to me it means I’ve got a smaller window of knowing when I’m most fertile and a risk of missing it altogether? Does anyone have any experience of these?

AF/BFP due: who knows?! The last 6 cycles have varied in length from 32 to 47 days. My various apps are predicting sometime around 24-28th May though.

I used OPKs and started temping last cycle for the first time, so I'm still getting the hang of it. Got a lovely positive OPK then a temp rise a few days later so I'm hoping that means I did ovulate. It would mean that my LP was quite short though, only 10-11 days.

@Ukelelelele I completely you on that gutting feeling when AF arrives. Fingers crossed for a lucky month for us all.

@Chh87 I used the ClearBlue Advanced 4 day ones last week. Tested for three days - first two were negative with the blank circle, third was a solid smiley so not sure what happened to the four days!

Yey! AF came two days early this month so my new hopefully BFP date will be the 25th May, (eek!). Can’t wait for my fertile couple of days.

Can’t believe that I am back on one of these threads . Here are my numbers:

Have waited a while to ttc, have one October born baby (he’s now two) and one July baby(he’s 4) . Couldn’t afford another birthday pre Christmas so we have waited to get a January(or later) due date.
Swore after my second pregnancy no more but always knew in my heart there was one missing. Have kept all baby things so I think that says it all. Dh desperate for third. We are currently selling our house and buying a house that needs a lot of work so slightly nervous about being pregnant throughout !

Not 100% sure which day ovulation occurred but with some symptom spotting it certainly did happen so DTD as much as we could around then but not feeling confident.

Taking pregnancare conception vitamins for the month of April.

Glow app tells me AF is due 5th May.. so now I wait! WHY did I book a week off work this week 🤯🤯🤯

Sigh. I am not feeling hopefully. I think we missed our ovulation day. Couldn't dtd as my ds played up with the heat.... hoping I am wrong but we will see. Dtd today hopefully just in case

Think I read from your original post our AF is due same day. Don't worry I think we have probably DTD either side of Ovulation and not actually close enough but you never know it might have been enough. Good Luck to you x

Sigh just realised that I’m next due to ovulate on May 5th.... DH away the 3rd,4th if May and will be hungover on the 5th so no DTD then. June bus?! 😕

Savvy what about the 1st & 2nd ? My app shows the 4/5 days before ovulation is good .. I might be wrong though!
