Hi everyone 👋

Can't see a May bus, so thought I'd start one up!

A little bit about me...

TTC: #1
Age: 28
Cycle: 5
CD: 5
AF/BFP due: 10th May

This cycle I'm making a real effort to take my pre-conception vitamins EVERY day and going to use Pre-seed this cycle too.

Come on in and share your stories, symptoms and if needed, vent to your heart's content...

@mrssunshinexxx I originally wanted to do the same, waiting until a few more months. But I've decided to start now, if this isn't my month, so I can have more cycles as "data", for lack of a better term! I figure each cycle will be slightly different. Plus DP is 36 in September and we kind of want to be done having babies (two ideally) by the time he's 40. Although I'm sure all these idealism's aren't helping the cause!

@mrssunshinexxx I used woman log and glow and this month fertility friend but they all have different dates and I ovulated on a different date. I never ovulate on the same day each month so the work on the average length of my cycles. We've really not timed it right over the last three cycles 🙈🙈 xx

@Peachyx2505 so we could be working to what the apps are saying but actually ovulating on a different day entirely!

Pretty much! One app said ovulation would be the 5th May, another the 4th and I ovulated on the 3rd 😂 last cycle I think I ovulated after the apps predictions 😂

I think opks are enough for me personally so I can detect that surge. The first time I used them we were away, didn't take them with me, caught the end of my surge but didn't get to dtd 🙈 last month I went all relaxed.....
By taking my bbt this month I know my one ovary has done its job! So probably won't carry on with that if we aren't pregnant this month.

@Peachyx2505 oh let me know how you get on with BBT! I'm looking in to doing this as well. Do you use a particular brand of thermometer?

I tested this morning but I think it was failed because only half the control line showed! See if I can stay distracted until tomorrow! I'm absolutely shattered, I've got a cramp in my left ovary and I'm crying for no reason. If I'm not pregnant then my body is cruel!!

I just looked up bbt thermometer on amazon and got one for about £13. It's got to be a 2 decimal place one. I found it a bit hard as I work nights so have an inconsistent waking time, but fertility friend has detected ovulation by the temp shift and opk tests so 🤞🤞 it's nice to know my remaining ovary is working 😂

@Peachyx2505 BFN. Think I'm just torturing myself really! I'm already emotional and crying for no reason at all and the POAS obsession is not helping! Going to try and resist now until AF due date.

Christ, you haven't got it easy, have you!? Nothing but admiration for you!

I keep popping on and off here, got a week until AF is due, we are buying a house at the moment so that's distracting me but I'm hoping this month I get a bfp. Been trying since before Christmas and I know it's not that long but I got pregnant with my DD on my second cycle so worrying it means something is wrong this time, which is daft but I am a worrier!

We weren't planning for another baby, but when your fertility is threatened and your surgeon manages to save one of you ovaries you kind of take it as a sign 😂 xx

Hi can I join?
I'm am trying to conceive baby #1 and currently 8dpo. Been temping and have temps that are increasing. Started at 36.03 before ovulation and went up to 36.54 at 5dpo. It dipped to 36.36 at 6dpo and is now up to 36.6 at 8dpo. Anyone know if this sounds like a good thing? It's my first month temping. My cm is quite wet and creamy (sorry tmi) whereas I'm usually quite dry after ovulation. 🙈 xx

@hopeandpray1988 sounding good! I also had a massive dip at 6dpo and I'm 8dpo today 😁 cm is similar to.... 🤞it's all good signs. (It's my first month temping) xx

@Peachyx2505 how much did your temp dip at 6dpo? Have you got any symptoms that you think could be a good sign? Xx

@hopeandpray1988 It was 36.72 and dipped down below my cover line to 36.23. Didn't take my temp this morning 🙈 I've had some pinching pains but that's about it. Oh and my gums bled last night when I brushed my teeth.... it was the only sign I was pregnant with DS1..... but I have had that on my very first cycle and I wasn't pg. Have you had any other signs?

@Peachyx2505 my temp didn't dip below my cover line but did dip close ish to it. Not sure if that means it was or wasn't implantation or not. Only symptoms I've got is my boobs feel fuller and are sore today. Not had any spotting or anything. How long is your luteal phase? And when are you thinking of testing? I stupidly did any ic test today and of course got a bfn 🙈

Hi all tested this morning with an IC unmistakable bfn but 6 days until AF is due so perhaps too early or perhaps it’s not my month.
It’s only cycle one trying to conceive #3 but feel like it’s taken over my life a little . Really don’t want this going on for months and taking over when I should be enjoying my other 2 children .
Any tips on not letting it take over?

Hi Allhallowseve, I am trying to avoid that this month by lurking and posting here less (only now that my period is due/overdue), not testing for ovulation and not taking any pregnancy tests until I am 3/4 days past my period. This month the tww seems to have passed much more quickly. Good luck!

@Allhallowseve I have also got 6 days until AF is due and sitting here thinking about poas! It's so hard not to obsess over it isn't it :-(

@mrscatmad31 Well done for not poas it was pointless really and I got my hopes up. If it was the day before af was due at least I could just move on but now I’m just thinking about when I can test again.
@teaonthebedsheets that sounds a much better idea. Just get on with life and if it happens it happens instead of obsessing.

Morning Ladies,

I took a FRER this morning and think their may be a really faint line? I'm not getting my hopes up yet as I know FRERs have some bad revues about indent lines etc and the it's still very early, af due on Friday so I'm gonna keep hoping but test again Tuesday next week to see if it has got stronger.

@Allhallowseve I was getting obsessed so last month I started decorating, doing the jobs around the house that I just hadn't got around too. This month we bought a tent so have been planning a camping trip with my friend. Distraction definitely works for me. I won't say I haven't symptom spotted because I have but I'm not constantly looking for symptoms. Oh and I have no tests in the house apart from a cbd and we all know how flipping expensive they are so I'm not wasting that xx

@hopeandpray1988 I think from reading up some people get a dip anyway pregnant or not. My temp is up again today but not by much. I believe my lp is 14 days. Im working fri and sat night, so probably won't end up testing until Monday..... when will you test again? I've only got the cbd here so won't waste it. IC and I don't have a good relationship 😂 I've had a couple of lines but obvs not been pg, saying that, 7yrs ago for my son, they were positive at 12dpo xx

Af is now 5 days late and no sign of her...
Tested yesterday morning and got yet again another bfn.
Not testing for another few days as I'm sick of bfn.
