Can't see a May bus, so thought I'd start one up!

A little bit about me...

TTC: #1
Age: 28
Cycle: 5
CD: 5
AF/BFP due: 10th May

This cycle I'm making a real effort to take my pre-conception vitamins EVERY day and going to use Pre-seed this cycle too.

Come on in and share your stories, symptoms and if needed, vent to your heart's content...

@mumofbun in theory, I would wait until Sunday. I know how hard it is though, so no judgement either way (last month I wasn't going to test at all, was at a work thing with one of those wine glasses that stays topped up, and couldn't help myself at the train station on the way home).

I have been cursed by talking about regularity upthread. I temp, and FF is putting ovulation at day 11, which is most unlike me. I even had cramps during a sodding bodypump class yesterday, the one time when I manage to not think about TTC. Will be keeping a close eye for the rest of this cycle, I suppose the only advantage is that it gives me something other than testing to think about for a while?

Thanks for the advice - I think i will just try to forget about it and have a couple of wines with my friends Saturday night (if that is something i'm allowed to say when ttc)!

I’m the same. I’m the same I need a plan for every scenario with everything! So the unknown drives me crazy too. I am hoping the irregularity is just my body getting back to normal after being on the pill for so long and nothing more sinister (as Dr Google likes to tell you). I have used a few different opks but mostly the IC, May invest in the CB advanced this month again though. How about you?

Quick question I have just tested OPK and the test line is twice as dark as the control line, I also have some stomach cramps and bit of lower back pain, do we reckon I am ovulating now or will tomorrow?

@Renault5 all my current opks taken so far. Bottom today's

@Carley32 the pill really messes with everything so I don't think you've got anything to worry about. I haven't been on anything since last summer and it took me around 8 months to become regular. I had the coil.
What's IC? I haven't used anything so far. I think if I fall off the May Bus then I will start testing and charting!!

I think that when you have your BFP OPK it is supposed to mean that you will ovulate within the next 12-36 hours. When did you test last?

@mammato3 from my experience so far (but I by no means know what I’m talking about) I’d say you’ve already ovulated.
I’ve quite often tested after my bfp OPK and it’s continued to stay positive right up until the day before af has shown. I guess that’s why it says you can stop testing after your bfp. It’s all so confusing.

What were your cycle lengths if you don’t mind me asking?
Really? Do you have any stories? I am always in search of some reassurance that it may happen and I’ve not left it completely to late!
I’m 32 by the way so a little concerned that I should have stopped taking contraception much sooner.
IC means internet cheapy You can get like 50 for £5 on Amazon. Although I’m not always sure it’s the best thing.because it has been know to take a little of the fun out of things and put more pressure on the situation than it’s worth if you know what I mean.

Think it's all over for me this month ladies. CD29, 13dpo, BFN this morning and started kind of spotting tonight (more like a pink tinged bit of wee) so I expect AF will be here in all her glory tomorrow Bitterly disappointed, have had a little cry and a cuddle with DP.

@tisonlymeagain Oh, I'm sorry, which cycle are you on. I might see you on the June bus. AF not due til 13th for me, but feeling pessimistic. You should have wine, and chocolate, and all the things which make you happy. (A lovely novel by someone like Sophie Kinsella always makes me feel less crappy/dashed.)

I’m the same - light spotting/pink tinge. Def jinxed myself by feeling optimistic earlier!

@mommato3 I think I would keep testing just in case but if you are cd19 it is likely you have already ovulated maybe test for another 2 days just in case ?!
Have you had any other symptômes like cm, cramping on one side ?

AF due today but still no sign of it. Took a 6 days Clearblue test yesterday afternoon, BFN.
Guess I'm out as surely it would've been BFP if I was pregnant?
Just wish AF would bleedin hurry up! (No pun intended!)

@Renault5 I will test again tomorrow but we're away the weekend so won't be after that. May test Monday when we get back. Think I'll try put it to the back of my mind for the weekend. Somehow.... haha

AF is due May 14th.

CD 18.
Flo is telling me that i will have 2 extra cycle days days this month. Not sure why but I'm putting it down to last months miscarraige.

Heading away tomorrow on a family holiday for 1 week so it will distract me for the dreaded tww.

@Carley32 my cycle lengths ranged from 21 to 40 days! Eventually settled at 26.
I've got a couple friends and one step mum who were on the contraceptive pill until 35 and went on to have babies.
I think the key with it all is to not stress. I'm a fine one to talk, first thing I do is stress and worry!
That's what I'm worried about - taking the fun out of it and making it a chore. I already joke that I just want his sperm 🙈
Yesterday or today is supposed to be my OV day so I'll be entering my TWW. Luckily I'll be in Marrakech for one week of it so that should make it go a little quicker! Hence my reply at ridiculous o clock! Time to get on a plane!

Well another night of cramps and being convinced I will start bleeding at any minute. I am cd 25 7 maybe 8 dpo. Still nothing. Wish it would hurry up now though. Ironically my pregnancy tests are arriving today. Wah!

Thanks for sharing some positivity @Louise190. Af actually arrived yesterday 😕 but in the plus side it was CD29 so I’m hoping I’m regaining some normality. 🤞.
I think your right with the stress bit. But I also struggle with that. I stress and obsess about absolutely everything.

Hi All, been lurking on here this month as I didn’t think we’d hit it this month (too busy to DTD much). I’m going on a hen do so thought I’d check before I drank my body weight in prosecco and think I got a faint line....what do you guys think.

Ps I took two as I’m literally in shock!

Ps not sure the photo catches the colour but the lines are both pink.

I’m only about 9DPO....the app says 7DPO but I know I’m 9DPO.

@BFPhopeful2019 that's amazing :D and so early on, you lucky girl! Delighted for you, and so nice to see some good news, to give us all hope.

I have been quiet this week as thinking how i want to approach this whole ttc thing.. started to feel i was spending my whole time waiting for something to happen (ov, then af) instead of living my life, and missing a lot by doing so.. so took a step back to breathe and try to find a way that works better for me and my mental health (no judgement here whatsoever, just wasnt working for me and i was starting to feel really unhappy and losing my mind really).

Currently on 12dpo and tested for the first time, using the pregnancy test that comes with my clearblue monitor (i think they are 50miu ones). Stark negative. Feeling ok about it, disappointed of course if it takes some time, so be it.. im off to portugal in 3 weeks to meet my sister who lives abroad and i only see twice a year, so excited about it and happy for having something to look forward to.
