#Michellebops I’m sorry to hear that, take care of yourself today.

I think I’m going to start using ovulation tests in April. Not sure when AF will show up after coming off the pill & too impatient too wait !
What do others use? I was going to try One Step strips off Amazon as they are cheap, but I’m a total newbie to this, are they any good?

Broodyaf · 25/03/2019 12:40

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time @Michellebops but don't beat yourself too much, as it's only to be expected to have days like his closer to your would-have-been due date

I use them OPKs @MountAbora and they lift my ovulation day

Proudmummy88 · 25/03/2019 13:06

@Michellebops big hugs my lovely ❤️ I feel for you. Xx

I'm sorry you're having a hard time just now Michellebops Flowers

I use those ones @MountAbora and I think they've done the job fine. I didn't want to go down the route of spending loads of money on fancier ones, but if I wanted to take out the guesswork of interpreting the lines then the more expensive ones would be worth it.

I've bought HPTs today Blush I got the 3 for 79p Home Bargains strips, then read the leaflet and realised they're 25mlu ones, so have ordered some 10mlu ones for £5 from Amazon that can apparently be used from 6 days before AF, so 8dpo. I need help lol.

Proudmummy88 · 25/03/2019 13:16

I've not even looked at what I've got in the house yet @deathbycats lol. I was getting obsessed buying them last month so sure I've got a collections of all different strengths.

We both need help 😂😘

Hello all. New to posting also! Its good to read about all of your experiences as I am v new to all of this so still trying to wrap my head around it.

According to the app, my predicted od was 14th March. We dtd 16th/17th. I started to get very mild cramping (more like an ache) and have got it on and off ever since, being quite bad last night. I also started spotting on 23rd (very light) and I am still spotting today, again still very light. The cramping and spotting is very unusual for me as I never have this between cycles. Note that my period is not due until 29th and I am usually like clockwork.

Think I'm looking too much into it tho 🙈

Proudmummy88 · 25/03/2019 16:27

Hi @Ty4happy I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you. You know your body the best and if this is not normal for you then it could well be hopeful! The only time I've ever experienced sporting mid cycle was when coming off contraception so I have little in the way of an experienced voice for you. 29th is not far away to find out (or maybe even before 🙊)
Don't worry about looking into it too much. I think we all are the same here. We could try and not symptom spot but when we feel the slightest twinge we are straight on to Dr Google with such and such xdpo etc etc questions 🤓😂
How long have you guys been trying?
And welcome again 😊

@Loti92 I am in the same position as you, TTC #2 after MC in Jan. AF arrived yesterday, first one since retained products and negative HPT, so I'm CD2 and currently considering whether I want to try clear blue OPKs this month instead of cheapy one step amazon ones.

Broodyaf · 25/03/2019 18:08

Need a wee bit of help ladies.

Never been on for the whole discharge thing. Don't understand it and never researched it as I feel my brain is full enough with learning everything about temping, OPKs etc lol

But I know some of you will help -

Today is CD13. Normally I ovulate on CD10, but for some reason didn't get a positive OPK this cycle.
But today's OPK (IC) looks v close to positive which is a surprise, and when I just wiped I have loads of clear discharge which is slimy and sticky...

Anyone know what this is??
Sorry for TMI but I'm confused this cycle xx

Michellebops · 25/03/2019 18:50

I'm not the best person to answer this. I had a positive opk Thursday night, negative Friday night.

Bit wet on Saturday but actual full on ewcm yesterday.

Still don't know if I ovulated Saturday or yesterday.

Google ecwm and see if that makes a bit more sense x

Frillyfarmer · 25/03/2019 19:31

@Broodyaf the stuff you're looking for is slippery, stretchy "egg white" consistency. I've temped and OPKed both times TTC and without a doubt cervical mucus is the most telling ovulation sign I've found.

Ty4happy · 25/03/2019 20:31

@proudmummy88 thank you for your reply and for the positive thoughts! We have only been trying for the past few weeks so that's why I'm thinking surely it can't be first time?! Ah ok - I haven't been on the pill since last May so I know it's nothing to do with that still being in my system. I know - Google is just the devil sometimes isn't it lol! How long have you been trying? 🙂 x

Proudmummy88 · 25/03/2019 20:50

@Ty4happy do you know when you're thinking of testing? Would be amazing if you guys are that quick in conceiving hehe.

I came off the pill mid Dec but last month was our first full cycle as I have been bleeding quite a bit and very irregular. So would say this is our second month properly.

Ty4happy · 25/03/2019 21:06

@proudmummy88 I know it would be amazing, just dont think we would be that lucky tho! We are going to wait and see what happens on the 29th, if AF turns up or not! 🤞 im just not sure that I would be getting this much cramping, and this is the 3rd day of spotting so not sure if thate normal! Well hopefully this next month will be your month! Got my fingers crossed for you! :)

Proudmummy88 · 25/03/2019 21:25

@Ty4happy roll on 29th. Early Mother's Day pressie for you 😘 Aww thank you so much. Here's hoping. Will find out early next week either outcome 😊

@proudmummy88 fingers crossed! We will have to keep each other updated, hoping it's good news all round :)

Sunflower87 · 25/03/2019 22:37

Hi, can I hop aboard the bus please? Ding ding! Smile

Came off the pill September, ttc #1,
3rd cycle as started in January.

Guest-imated AF/test date 10th April Confused Have irregular periods, not massively so but enough to make predicting O and AF awkward. App says O due on 27th, using OPKs for the first time, all negative so far. I think I'm actually getting some ovulation pain right now but I really can't be bothered to BD tonight, did last night though... Part of me wants to take a more laid back approach this month. Awkward though as I have 2 autoimmune diseases and have had to be off main meds for a year before starting to ttc. So need to conceive quickly really so I can still function like a "normal" person day to day.

Best of luck all x

Proudmummy88 · 26/03/2019 06:24

Morning @Sunflower87 and welcome. Ah that's rubbish how they are irregular. Mine can be slightly and it puts my whole month off, like all I am doing is wondering. There is still time for opks to show positive so I hope it does soon for you. I'll be honest I'm not the biggest fan of tracking etc but I did use opks this month. All I've heard of is people tracking it takes longer and if you are not thinking about it, it just happens. Sounds like you need to track a wee bit though to get back on your meds ASAP. Let us know how it all goes and f gets crossed not too long for you 😊

Morning all

@Ty4happy @Proudmummy88 read back through the messages and oh how exciting!! You'se could have jumped off the March bus too quick 😂😂❤️

CD14 here (always ovulate on CD10) and I have a positive OPK??
I'm so confused this cycle

TulipsTwoLips · 26/03/2019 12:18

Sounds promising @Broodyaf CD14 is good for ovulation isn’t it?

2dpo here and waiting...!

Broodyaf · 26/03/2019 12:24

Hi @TulipsTwoLips !!
How u getting in this cycle? Loads of baby dancing? 🙈😂
Oh so I'm only a couple of days behind u in this cycle 🙏

I normally ovulate CD10 and my cycles are only average 23-24 days

This ovulating would be a 28day cycle which I NEVER ever have! The longest I've ever has was 26days and that was a long time ago!

deathbycats · 26/03/2019 12:29

Fingers crossed Broodyaf!

My 10mlu early tests should be arriving today and once they're here I'll hopefully chill a bit. I could theoretically start testing on Friday/Saturday with 50% accuracy so.... Grin

Broodyaf · 26/03/2019 12:42

Thanks @deathbycats

Oh ur gettin close now! The TWW has to be the toughest
You may have jumped off the March bus too early too! 🙏
