Anyone out there want to join me in trying for a successful Feb?! I’m sure there are loads of us out there can can support and answer questions :)
I’m 35, TTC #2 and have been trying for 4 months or so. My Son is almost 16 months so out of that baby stage which was so much fun (although this age defo has its perks).

Congratulations @tilly98

@Ovacado23 I got my copper coil out in November too. Can’t believe yours got stuck! I also got faint lines December and Jan but the got period 😢 Do you think copper coil interferes with cycles and fertility? They aren’t meant to are they?

My hubby rolls his eyes too and doesn’t want to hear about the whole ttc so it is amazing to have this thread ❤️

Scottish1 · 06/02/2019 18:00

Sorry @tilly98 that was meant to be a bit more enthusiastic 😂 Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Scottish1 · 06/02/2019 18:01

@tilly98 Did you do smep? X

LG0914 · 06/02/2019 18:27

Congrats @tilly98 !!

I've still got a while to wait this month.. fertile window starts on Sunday.

Bluebell9 · 06/02/2019 19:16

Congratulations @tilly89!

@Ovacado23 welcome to the 22nd club!

tilly98 · 06/02/2019 22:11

Thank you all! I haven't really been trying since I was told I had PCOS in early December as I wanted to control my weight etc. We didn't do it often at all maybe once a week if that. So I have no idea how far gone I am because of having no periods. But I wish you all the best luck! If I had any advice I would say stop trying trying and relax and let nature take course. It sure did help with me wasn't even thinking about another baby after being told I had PCOS. Just relax and enjoy being with your partners and it will happen. I know it's easier said than done but don't put to much pressure on yourselfs xxx

cattaxi · 06/02/2019 22:15

Congratulations @tilly98
That sounds like a total nightmare with the coil @ovacado23! Hopfully you get pregnant just as easily this time 🙂
I felt really sick today, so started doubting my negative test. But now dh appears to have a bug, so that probably explains it. Great!

Ovacado23 · 06/02/2019 22:51

Thankyou for the welcomes @scottish1 @cattaxi and @Bluebell9 also congrats @tilly98 Flowers
Regarding the copper coil i was told it shouldnt interfere with fertility but- on the other hand ive been told on various occasions by doctors and specialists that i could still get pregnant and "its not as rare as you think" even after i had insisted i wasnt because i had the copper coil!
I dont rely too heavily on doctors advice because they do sometimes still get it wrong. I had a friend who got bfn every time (i was there on two occasions) only to mc she was roughly 9 weeks and was not showing any signs at all. Other than no period She had been to gp kept being refused blood work and a scan. It terrifies me that that could ever happen i felt so bad for her i have serious anxiety over doctors and hospital so god knows why im doing this again. Fx for everyone and hoping for happy healthy preg x

Kinsella82 · 06/02/2019 23:24

Congratulations @tilly98 !

@Ovacado23 welcome to this lovely thread! Crazy about the coil for you and also a shocking story about your gritty :(
Best of luck TTC - I'm trying for number 3 too x

Ovacado23 · 06/02/2019 23:49

I feel a little bit of a fraud in real life when ive told close fam and friends that im ttc #3 they say silly stuff like "but youve got one of each you dont need anymore!" And "at least you know you can get pregnant" to be perfectly honest i dont think it matters if its your 1st, 3rd or 8th (live, mc or rainbowHalo) a pregnancy is a pregnancy and when you get the bug everything just makes you sad/excited/dissapointed/jealous. Anyone else surrounded by pregnant friends and fam? Or they keep announcing their "surprises" grrrr.

Ovacado23 · 06/02/2019 23:53

Thankyou @kinsella82 how old are your dc? Whats your journey been like? X 3 months in and im super impatient Grin

SEHGNH · 06/02/2019 23:59

Myself and my partner have been trying to conceive since July last year, but no luck as of yet. Anyone help?

Bluebell9 · 07/02/2019 06:44

@SEHGNH are you tracking your fertile period/ovulation?

Kinsella82 · 07/02/2019 09:11

@Ovacado23 that's the reason I haven't told anyone about this journey we are on! Can't handle those kinds of comments. My two are just about 7 for the eldest and youngest is 4. Journey is only begun this time. Came off the pill at Christmas - had withdrawal bleed a few days later and first AF started on 27/1 so in my fertile window now! I know what you mean about being impatient - it won't take long before I'm feeling that way too! Best of luck

FilthyforFirth · 07/02/2019 14:43

So many of us due on the 22nd! Not sure I will be joining you. Can't believe I am going to admit this, but it is annoymous I suppose.. DH has psychological problems with sex and often loses his erection. So no baby dance last night and given the row that followed pretty sure none tonight either. Pretty sure I am ovulating right now, so the sex we had on Monday is probably no good.

I am pretty devestated and worried my poor baby will be an only child. It took 8 months last time and we are on a tight timeframe this time. Gutted.

lizzie198 · 07/02/2019 15:53

@FilthyforFirth don't give up hope just yet if you DTD on Monday and ovulate today then you are still within the 5 day lifetime of sperm so you may still conceive.

Also don't feel embarrassed everyone has their problems and things that can get in the way xx

FilthyforFirth · 07/02/2019 16:31

Thank you @lizzie198. It is something we should have sorted out ever since but DH is very embarrassed so reluctant to seek help. I was initially very supportive but over the years it has spilled over to resentment, hence the row.

Everyone else that is due on the 22nd, when do you think you're ovulating? I am basing it being yesterday off an an app. I'm not charting temp or OPK yet. Be good to know if I'm out of the running entirely or if there is any hope to try again tonight/tomorrow...

Scottish1 · 07/02/2019 16:35

@FilthyforFirth I really feel for you! My hubby was almost saying he couldn’t do the deed the other night and I was so frustrated because I am investing so much in to this but without the little swimmers you can’t do anything. He got there in the end but it does worry me that he won’t be able to do it when I am in peak fertility! 😩 I’ve been sending him naughty gifs this week to try and keep him in the mood.

Hopefully you can make up and dtd tonight and if not hopefully Monday was enough. Sending a hug (( )) x

lizzie198 · 07/02/2019 17:08

It really isn't romantic this TCC I've made agreements with my OH as he works long shifts lol 🙈

Ovacado23 · 07/02/2019 18:48

So some suspicious uterus activity going on today. On CD 17 ?DPO i honestly have no idea i tried tracking cm and thought i ovulated 3-4 days ago but im still getting lots of ewcm! Ive had really bad cramps today, some mild ones yesterday, but today they are similar to af cramps. (14 days left of this cycle) trying to not get my hopes up but not in the mood to dtd for the rest of the weekend its too painful. Felt slimy, oily and runny all day. Had a soak for an hour and a half while dc at school. Also had to use the kids soap because my S&G smelled like pva glue. (Also i could smell banana randomly really strong earlier- there arent any in atm but if there were i would have eaten them) am i going mad?Confused

Bluebell9 · 07/02/2019 21:31

I'm tracking my bbt but I've not had a spike yet so I don't know if I've ovulated. My cycle is about 32 days so I think I might ovulate later anyway.
My DP used to struggle sometimes but he's eating healthly now and exercising more so things have improved. Fingers crossed for you @FilthyforFirth

FilthyforFirth · 07/02/2019 21:42

Thanks @bluebell9. My cycle is approx 30 days, though can be 31 as I am the same date each month. I might have window open stil then.

I wish the problem was physical but it is entirely psychological. Glad your DH found something that worked.

Thanks @scottish1. Another lengthy 'chat' tonight so neither of us in the mood. I still would but zero chance he will.

Am thinking we may end up needing intervention...

FilthyforFirth · 08/02/2019 08:32

Another attempt, another failure. Sat in the loos crying at work. My DS is going to be an only and I feel devestated.

This is exactly what happend last time. Managing it maybe once during each fertile window and 'hoping' for the best. Well I am 3 years older now so that just wont work anymore.

Bluebell9 · 08/02/2019 08:36

My temp was up this morning, so I think I've already ovulated. And after never turning it down, DP was too tired to DTD last night! I think I've worn him out.

I wonder how long I can hold out before I start POAS!

Bluebell9 · 08/02/2019 08:39

Keeping my fingers crossed for you @FilthyforFirth, if you DTD on Monday and ovulated this week, you only need 1 strong swimmer to be waiting for the egg.
