Farhana170 · 03/01/2019 15:35

@lisaawilson I'm usually on a 30day cycle. But this month I ovulated late ( second time tracking ) so I assume my period will be later. I would have tested next Tuesday (cd30) my app says af not due till 13th Jan! Which is cd35! I will hold out till then. So far no symptoms. I've come down with a cold but everyone around me is ill too so don't think that's a symptom for me. What about you? Any symptoms? When will you test?

Arewethereyet19 · 03/01/2019 20:23

AF is also due for me on the 9th so will b me waiting until the 10th to test if it doesn’t make an appearance.

Got everything crossed for us all!

Fortheloveofscience · 03/01/2019 22:23

I’m in awe of your self-control. I’m due on the 10th and am not going to be able to resist POA IC on Sunday!

Seriously sore boobs for me today. Normal AF symptom for me though so not reading anything into it.

GemmaJen · 04/01/2019 07:27

@Arewethereyet19 also in awe, I'm due on the 8th to test on the 9th and I've already poas. It was an ic and I knew it would be negative, but I needed to do something. I hate this waiting game.

Arewethereyet19 · 04/01/2019 08:22

This is probably going to sound silly but I have been lurking on here for a while and have seen quite a few people be devastated after chemical pregnancies and I know if I was in their position I would be a wreck so for my sanity going to try and wait each cycle until AF is late.
We haven’t been trying for long though so see how many cycles that lasts for haha!

Fortheloveofscience · 04/01/2019 10:45

That does make sense. I think if I was temping then I’d be able to hold off longer, because I’m not I’m literally just waiting and at least if I POAS I’m doing something Blush. Time’s just crawling.

Lisaawilson · 04/01/2019 11:04

@fortheloveofscience I'm also due on the 10th! Can't cope much longer I just want to know 😭 tbh I don't feel like I have conceived this month just feel like I have routine symptoms before AF :(

MyBreadIsEggy · 04/01/2019 11:58

Arewethereyet I’ve had 2 chemical pregnancies since my youngest DC was born 2 years ago.
I’ve been 13 days late with no chance of pregnant before (DH was deployed with the military overseas!), so about 6 months ago, I just assumed it was the same thing again. I got to 15 days late and took a test which was a faint positive. Then that afternoon, I got the worst period pain I had ever felt and started bleeding. Was a horrible mix of emotions - being happy all morning about being pregnant, and then devastated in the same afternoon.

Arewethereyet19 · 04/01/2019 12:26

@mybreadiseggy I am so sorry to hear this. Can’t imagine what it must be like to have such an amazing feeling and then have it taken away.
I am such a dweller so worried to test early as if it is a chemical pregnancy would rather not know and just think my period is a bit late otherwise it would really mess with my head and emotions.

GemmaJen · 04/01/2019 12:47

@MyBreadIsEggy that's awful. Sorry you had to go through that.

I'm an early tester I know I shouldn't but as @Fortheloveofscience days I just feel like I need to do something. I tested yesterday in the afternoon just to shut my brain up, a lovely BFN as expected. Thought I'd do the same this morning to help me get on with the day and stop thinking about it, fully expecting another BFN. But I got two lines! Still in shock now and so so happy! I know it could all get taken away, I had a mmc at 11weeks and recently a chemical so praying for a sticky bean this time!

Farhana170 · 04/01/2019 13:33

@gemmajen congrats! Fx it's a sticky bean! And let the bfp roll in for the rest of us!
Did you have any symptoms?

MollyFaith00 · 04/01/2019 15:04

Congratulations @GemmaJen that's so exciting! How many dpo are you? I understand what you're saying about feeling nervous - after my mc I know I will be nervous next pregnancy... but fingers crossed this one is a sticky bean for you 💗 do you mind me asking what brand of test you used?

The reason I ask is that I got a very very very faint line this morning (I don't know why I tested but I couldn't help myself and ended up taking a few tests away with me). It was Superdrug - which I have now read is terrible for false positives.
(I'm also v aware that testing too early is bad because it can pick up a chemical pregnancy - so I need to stop!!)

@MyBreadIsEggy so sorry for everything you have gone through. It's so hard 💗💐.

xx

GemmaJen · 04/01/2019 15:18

Thank you @Farhana170. No obvious symptoms really. I have pressure in my abdomen, been a bit gassy and some nausea, but I put it down to the Christmas/new year diet, I've put on so much weight, lol. I was hoping to loose a few pounds but that may have to wait.

@MollyFaith00 the internet cheapie strip I used was a wondfo and I double checked with a one step, they're as sensitive as frers at a fraction of the price, I get them from Amazon. If you got a line with the superdrug test it's much more likely to be a true positive than a false positive they have to pass quality control before they can sell them. double check with a different brand after a 4 hour hold or tomorrow with fmu. Got my fingers crossed for you x

Fortheloveofscience · 04/01/2019 15:18

Congrats GemmaJen! Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for you.

So sorry MyBread that sounds horribly hard to deal with.

LisaWilson exactly the same here, just ordinary pre-AF symptoms. Tummy feels a bit weird but I’m sure it’s just because I’m finishing off Christmas food Blush. Managed not to POAS today at 7DPO but suspect I’ll cave and test tomorrow. Luckily they’re only IC.

MollyFaith00 · 04/01/2019 15:48

Thanks @GemmaJen - I use those one steps OPKs and their pretty good!

I have a frer with me but they are so pricey I don't want to waste it haha. I have another supermarket own brand with me (can't remember which) and so will try with FMU tomorrow. Thank you! I weirdly feel very untrusting of it so will start to get excited if I see another line in the morning x

Em39ma · 04/01/2019 16:02

Hope you don’t mind me joining in.
Had miscarriage in October, so first month trying since that.
Op on the 14th dec, so AF due on 10th Jan.
Trying Not to think about it, but really want to test

Arewethereyet19 · 04/01/2019 16:12

Congratulations GemmaJen that’s fabulous news Smile

MyBreadIsEggy · 04/01/2019 16:39

Congratulations GemmaJen!! Grin

I’m feeling really stroppy today which is a normal premenstrual thing for me, so I’m not holding out much hope for a BFP Sad

becca3210 · 05/01/2019 13:17

Congrats @GemmaJen. Hope everyone else is doing ok. I am finding the weekend tricky to not think about TTC as not got work as a distraction! Am approx Day 5 post ovulation now. Continuing to have minor stomach/back cramps but still early days still so could be nothing!

Lisaawilson · 05/01/2019 13:56

My AF is due in 5 days and I have very tender breasts and some cramps so I don't know whether AF is coming early or what's happening :( I'm about 9dpo today and had BFN this morning :( x

OP posts:
MyBreadIsEggy · 05/01/2019 17:29

Boobs started feeling a little tender today, which is quite normal for me when AF is approaching.
But I am also feeling totally wiped out, and even fell asleep in the car on the way home from a day out with DCs today Hmm

PippyVibes · 05/01/2019 18:28

I'm 5dpo too @becca3210 thought I had some twinges but really not sure where I should feel them? Seemed more on the right than middle Hmm I've never really paid much attention to what's going on in my body before all this ttc business!

jazzyjellybeans · 06/01/2019 01:53

Hey Ladies... can I also join please? Cycle 13 for us TTC our first. Ovulated on 26th so currently 11DPO. I have no idea how but I've managed to refrain from POAS. Trying to hang off until 9th.... (sits on hands)

GemmaJen · 06/01/2019 06:26

@Fortheloveofscience @Arewethereyet19 @MyBreadIsEggy thank you

@becca3210 I find keeping my mind of things is just impossible. Just got to find things to distract myself that does help a little.

@Lisaawilson sounds promising 🤞

@MollyFaith00 how did the frer go? Fx for you x

@jazzyjellybeans welcome. You're stronger than me, lol the struggle is real.
